La ética en la investigación científica de las instituciones de educación superior de República Dominicana
Full text linkScientific investigation is one of the main axis that constitute universities. In this sense, the main purpose of this research is to analyze ethics and scientific research in higher education institutions of the Dominican Republic. In order to achieve this objective, it has been considered to identify the current normative framework that regulates scientific research, describe the situation of scientific research in higher education institutions of the Dominican Republic and determine the relationship of ethics with particular sciences in research. This investigation is of documentary design. In the country, there is the law of Higher Education Science and Technology that governs the scientific research of the universities and institutions. There is also a research regulation document, in addition to the National Fund for Innovation and Scientific and Technological Development (FONDOCYD), although the scientific research of the IES is scientifically committed to the low production in the Dominican RepublicLa investigación científica es uno de los ejes principales que constituye la universidad. En este sentido, el objetivo general de esta investigación es analizar la ética de la investigación científica en las instituciones de educación superior de República Dominicana. Para lograr este objetivo, se ha considerado identificar el marco normativo vigente que regula la investigación científica, describir la situación de la investigación científica en las instituciones de educación superior y determinar la relación de la ética con las ciencias particulares en la investigación. Esta investigación es de diseño documental. En el país existe la Ley de Educación Superior Ciencia y Tecnología que rige las investigaciones científicas de las universidades e instituciones y, a su vez un reglamento de investigación, además del Fondo Nacional de Innovación y Desarrollo Científico y Tecnológico (FONDOCYD), aunque la investigación científica de las IES se encuentra comprometida con la poca producción científica en República Dominicana

Full text linkThe career path of the Villalobos-Manrique family, a prototypical lineage of distinguished peninsular and creole subjects, runs alongside the colonization and conquest process that hovered over the Indies during the XVIth century. Having arrived in Hispaniola on the eve of the century, their immediate core shifted —in the exact same way as the very own epicenter of the imperial system— from the Antilles, in the first place, to the coastline of the continent and its mainland, secondly. Based on the analysis of this specific case, the investigation will try to briefly outline the modus operandi under which colonizers and first settlers established their social and patronage-based networks, as well as the different strategies they developed in order to effectively extend their methods and privileges over time and space.La trayectoria de los Villalobos-Manrique, familia prototípica de beneméritos, tanto peninsulares como criollos, corre pareja al proceso de conquista y colonización que planeó sobre las Indias durante todo el siglo XVI. Llegados a la Española, en los prolegómenos de la centuria, su núcleo familiar fue basculando gradualmente —tal y como lo hizo el mismísimo epicentro del sistema imperial— desde las Antillas, primero, hasta el litoral del continente y el interior de Tierra Firme, después. Apostillas al Entremés de Llerena como mito fundacional del teatro dominicano
Full text linkThis article studies the place of Cristobal de Llerena’s Entremés in Hispanic America’s theatrical history. It analyzes how authors who have studied this short play, written in 1588, have created a myth around it which disregards significant critical aspects such as the absence of autochthonous elements, the silence around the colonial period’s slave system and the misogynistic ideas contained in the play. The article situates the Entremés in its historical context, emphasizing the economic and social situation of the time, and from there, it recovers some critical voices to the hegemonic vision of the Entremés. The article questions the contribution of the Entremés to the Dominican and Latin American theater and demonstrates the inaccuracy of many ideas about the myth. It proposes, from a decolonial perspective, a critical way of reading the contribution of Llerena to Dominican theater distancing from the apologetic discourses that has made this work an unquestionable bastion of an important moment of the cultural history of the island.En el presente artículo estudiamos el lugar que ocupa el Entremés de Llerena en la historiografía teatral hispanoamericana. Analizamos cómo muchos autores han creado alrededor de esta obra, escrita en 1588, un mito que ha mermado cuestionamientos críticos de relevancia a tomar en cuenta como, por ejemplo, la ausencia de elementos autóctonos y el silencio con respecto al sistema esclavista de la época colonial, al igual que los aspectos misóginos presentes en la obra. Situamos el Entremés en su contexto histórico, destacando la situación económica y social de la época, y a partir de ahí, salvamos algunas críticas existentes a la visión hegemónica del Entremés. Cuestionamos el aporte de este al teatro dominicano y latinoamericano, y demostramos cómo muchas afirmaciones alrededor del mito son imprecisas. Proponemos una forma crítica de leer el aporte de Llerena al teatro dominicano, desde una perspectiva descolonial, alejada de los discursos apologéticos que han hecho de esta un baluarte incuestionable de un momento importante de la historia cultural de la isla
