    Enhanced Visualization Interface

In a world dominated by massive datasets, transforming intricate data into easy-to-understand visual representations is essential. The market, however, is dominated by BI tools that require a high skill cap to be effectively used to produce the required result. Moreover, there is a noticeable lack of tools that enable users new to data science, data analysis, business analysis, and business intelligence to create insightful analytical dashboards with minimal effort. ENVI intends to streamline this process by permitting users to create interactive dashboards with minimal effort. At ENVI’s core is a statistics-based algorithm that aims to implement automated BI. This will allow it to automatically create insightful visual representations for the given data set at the clicks of a few buttons, as part of a short workflow that is seamless and intuitive for even non-technically-inclined users. Atop this, the tool allows users to select from a range of data import methods, customize their charts and dashboards for any fine-tuning, as well as reflect any changes made to the source data in the relevant visualizations. ENVI caters to a variety of users, including business stakeholders seeking immediate solutions to a business problem, students embarking on their analysis and BI journey, educators requiring visual aids for academic work and individuals looking to make data driven decisions. This will enable users to utilize data driven decision making without a steep learning curve

Opportunities in the Pakistani Local Cuisine Market for Food Solutions

    No full text
Through our Experiential Learning Project (ELP) with Unilever Pakistan Limited, we had the opportunity to explore opportunities for Unilever Food Solutions (UFS) in the B2B local cuisine market. UFS has a strong presence in the Western foodservice operations but it faces challenges to penetrate in the traditional Pakistani foodservice segment. Our research focused on identifying pain points as well opportunities for product development specifically for this market. In the first phase of our project, using pain point analysis (Holz et al., 2024), we successfully conducted primary research through chef interviews at various restaurants and areas of Karachi, supported by menu breakdowns as well as pantry assessments. Findings included traditional time-consuming cooking methods caused delays in kitchen operations. It highlighted the opportunity and need for ready to use products, that will provide convenience to chefs and retain the authentic local flavors guided by the Customer Problem-Solution fit model (Haaverstad, 2016). We developed five product concepts based on our findings. In the phase two of our project, we analyzed the feasibility and viability of our product concepts by utilizing insights from Unilever’s product and packaging R&D team, our Line Manager, and a detailed review of the existing UFS portfolio. Three out of the five product concepts were shortlisted under Knorr and Rafhan, based on market fit and feedback from chefs. These shortlisted products can help UFS capture high-volume markets and strengthen its long-term strategic position in Pakistan’s local desi cuisine market

    HUBCO Internal Audit Transformation

    No full text
This project focused on transforming the internal audit function of HUBCO, a leading energy company, by modernizing its Internal Audit Manual in line with the latest global standards and best practices. Our objective was to reposition internal audit as a strategic partner that supports governance, risk management, and value creation across the organization. We began by conducting a detailed review of HUBCO’s existing audit framework against the global internal audit standards laid by the IIA and benchmarking it against industry leaders such as K-Electric and Engro Energy. The project delivered a redesigned manual that integrates risk-based auditing, improved audit planning, enhanced reporting standards, and clearer audit opinion categories. We also recommended the gradual adoption of technology, including Computer-Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs) and audit management software, to enable smarter, data-driven auditing over time. Ultimately, this transformation strengthens HUBCO’s internal controls, supports ethical business conduct, and enhances resilience in a dynamic regulatory environment, contributing to the company’s long-term sustainability
