Developmental feedback: A systematic literature review for antecedents and consequences
No full textPurpose: The purpose of the study is to gain insights into existing empirical studies on developmental feedback. It categories the antecedents and consequences of developmental feedback, in the dimension of performance management.
Study design/methodology/approach: This study undertakes a systematic literature review of articles published in Google Scholar (Emerald, Taylor and Francis, Wiley, Sage, Springer, Elsevier). The search result generated 168 articles.
Findings Based on the inclusion criteria some of the themes were generated. New insights were gained from the analysis of 35 articles related to developmental feedback in the context of performance which advances our understanding of different categories of antecedents and consequences of developmental feedback.
Originality/value: This is a systematic review that suggests the evolution of developmental feedback over time and the potential research gaps. As there is no systematic literature review available on developmental feedback, this research contributes to the field in this way.
Research limitations/implications: The author has provided a future research agenda in the context of performance management. Future studies may investigate the role of different categories of antecedents and consequences, the influence of different types of feedback to enhance the performance of employees.
Practical implications: This paper offers deep insights into literature of developmental feedback which is useful for both practitioners and scholars in thinking about the factors that may be critical for managing performance.
Social implications: This study provides guidelines for the managers in terms of enhancing performance through feedback and developing employees in the organizations which enhances growth of the organization.

When the going gets tough: How multinationals and local companies used dynamic capabilities during pandemic
No full textThis study uses dynamic capability (DC) lens to explore how multinational companies (MNCs) and their local competitors make use of DCs during pandemic to achieve competitive advantage. The paper deploys a qualitative research methodology and collects primary and secondary data from 8 companies (4 MNCs, 4 Locals) in the pharmaceutical industry of Pakistan. We find that multinationals and local companies rely on different sets of DC to effectively deal with the pandemic. While multinationals make use of branding, alliancing and effective deployment of their R&D capability, locals deployed seizing, reconfiguration and strong external relationship better. In the immediate aftermath of the pandemic local companies’ performance improved, while the MNCs struggled to maintain market share. MNCs’ headquarter appeared to be responsible for their underperformance. This paper contributes to the DC research and explains which DC are more relevant for multinationals and local companies in a developing country context during a crisis. It also highlights an underexplored moderator of multinationals performance in these locations – their global headquarters
IBA-CED sparks dialogue on mental health, leadership

They also toured Systems Limited and the all-female-led Bagh Grammar School, exploring tech-driven career paths and inclusive educational models. The trip concluded with a visit to CareCloud’s head office in Bagh, a healthcare tech company creating employment in remote regions and serving as the official travel and accommodation partner.
