Psychometric characteristic of positive affect scale within the academic setting
This analysis study is one of several stages that must be passed before testing the structural model. This study is initiated due to the limited information related to the measurement of the Positive Affect Scale within the academic settings. The research method used in this study was a quantitative method. It was done in among 724 students of state junior high schools in Sleman, Yogyakarta. The instrument development consisted of guideline arrangement, language feasibility testing, content validation through expert judgments, trials to measure the item discrimination index, item selection based on the item discrimination results, items representation for each indicator, and the construct validity test for the selected items. The testing of the measurement model used the data analysis techniques of Structural Equation Models (SEM) with the assistance of the AMOS program version of 21. The results of the study show that the validity analysis of the Positive Affect Scale within the academic setting was able to produce items that can reveal constructs or latent concepts appropriately
Developing psychomotor evaluation instrument of biochemistry practicum for university students of biology education
Practicum is one of the important aspects of the learning of biology. There is no psychomotor evaluation instrument that is valid and reliable. This study is aimed at developing a valid and reliable psychomotor evaluation instrument for biochemistry practicum. The study is developmental research using the 4-D model of \u27define, design, develop, and disseminate\u27. Instrument validation was carried out through construct validation. The findings show that the developed instrument is characterized by a high level of construct validity although the reliability measure is not very well-estimated. The instrument is constructed of four factors of perception, set, guided response, and mechanism developed into 80 statement items
An authentic assessment model to assess kindergarten students\u27 character
The aim of character development is essential to know, especially for kindergarten pupils. It might help teachers in developing students and offering helps and services. Thus, an assessment model is needed to identify children\u27s character development easily and accurately. This study aims to (1) develop an assessment model for evaluating kindergarten pupils\u27 character which is considered valid, reliable, and fulfill the criteria of goodness of fit statistic, and (2) know the characteristics of an authentic assessment model instrument to assess the achievements of early childhood characters in kindergarten. This research used Plomp\u27s Research and Development Model. Data were collected using a questionnaire, documentation, interview, observation, and Focus Group Discussion. The validation was proven by the expert judgment with the Aiken\u27s V formula and the reliability was estimated with Cronbach\u27s Alpha. The validation construct and reliability were examined using Exploratory Factor Analysis, followed by Confirmatory Factor Analysis to ensure the result. Furthermore, the results of this research show that (1) the assessment model developed is ASOKA. This model is considered valid and reliable as it meets the criteria of goodness and fits the statistic; (2) the characteristics of an authentic assessment model instrument to assess the achievements of early childhood characters in kindergarten are: (a) with the index of Aiken\u27s V analysis results of 0.901, the content validity is considered high; (b) the instrument construct validity has fulfilled the criteria of goodness of fit statistic; (c) as seen from Alpha Cronbach value coefficient 0.914, its instrument reliability is considered good enough
Teachers and technology: The perspective of digital citizenship
Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah menghasilkan beragam produk baik dalam bentuk hardware dan software. Produk tersebut telah menawarkan berbagai kemudahan bagi penggunanya. Salah satu contoh di bidang komunikasi. Saat ini komunikasi dapat dilakukan setiap saat tanpa dibatasi oleh jarak dan waktu. Berbagai kemudahan yang ditawarkan bagi penggunanya membuat mereka sangat tergantung pada teknologi. Bahkan saat ini manusia tidak hanya berada dalam dunia nyata saja namun juga dalam dunia maya. Tulisan ini bermaksud menggambarkan karakteristik kewarganegaraan guru-guru pendidikan pancasila dan kewarganegaraan. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah angket, wawancara dan studi pustaka. Data menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru merupakan warga digital dan digital immigrant.

Analisis kebutuhan perancangan aktivitas pembelajaran berdasarkan pada dimensi sikap moral bagi siswa sekolah dasar
Pergeseran nilai dan motivasi atas kelangsungan pendidikan yang disematkan pada sekolah dasar semakin menguat seiring dengan harapan tak terbatas dari para orang tua dalam menjamin kualitas kepribadian sang anak. Pada praktiknya, permasalahan yang muncul bagaimana sekolah mampu menjawab berbagai tantangan yang disuguhkan dalam membentuk karakter disamping menjadikan siswa sebagai seseorang yang cerdas secara akademisi. Penelitian ini berupaya menganalisis kebutuhan atas perancangan aktivitas-aktivitas pembelajaran berdasarkan pada pengembangan sikap moral atau moral feeling siswa sebagai jawaban dan solusi dari permasalahan yang dikemukakan sebelumnya. Metode penelitian fokus pada R&D tahap pertama dari pola ADDIE. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep moralitas pada pola pembelajaran siswa kelas V SDN Sunyaragi 2 relatif lebih memunculkan sisi moral knowing dengan pemaknaan sikap moral (moral feeling) yang hanya sebatas pada lapisan permukaan, tidak secara mendalam dan terstruktur. Dengan demikian, dibutuhkan sebuah perancangan aktivitas pembelajaran yang dapat mengakomodasi perkembangan dimensi moral feeling siswa dalam kaitannya dengan penguatan karakter positif yang idealnya dimiliki oleh siswa sebagai sumber daya manusia unggul.

The shift in values and motivation for the continuity of education embedded in Elementary Schools is getting stronger along with the infinite expectations of parents in ensuring the quality of the child\u27s personality. In practice, new problems arise surface is how schools are able to answer the challenges presented in shaping the character in addition to making students as someone who is smart academically. This research seeks to analyze the need for the design of learning activities based on the development of moral attitude or moral feeling of the students as the answer and solution of the problems presented earlier. Research method is R & D with ADDIE model. The results showed that the concept of morality on the pattern of learning grade V SDN Sunyaragi 2 relatively more led to the moral side knowing with the meaning of moral feeling (moral feeling) which is only limited to the surface layer, not in depth and structured. Thus, it takes a design of learning activities that can accommodate the development of students\u27 moral sense dimensions in relation to the reinforcement of positive characters ideally possessed by students as excellent human resources
Model desain Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di era media digital sebagai pendukung implementasi pendidikan karakter
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: ditemukan sebuah desain Model Pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di Era media digital sebagai pendukung Implementasi pendidikan karakter. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development (R&D), yaitu suatu metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan produk tertentu dan menguji validitas dan keefektifan produk. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan prosedural. Prosedur dalam penelitian ini mengadaptasi model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluation). Sampel dalam penelitian ini, melibatkan Perguruan Negeri Negeri dan Swasta di Jawa Tengah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagai berikut: pertama Analisis yaitu melakukan analisis kebutuhan, mengidentifikasi masalah (kebutuhan), dan melakukan analisis tugas. Kedua, Design, Tahap desain ini, merumuskan tujuan pembelajaran. Ketiga, Development adalah proses mewujudkan blue-print dengan inovasi media digital. Keempat, Implementation adalah langkah nyata untuk menerapkan sistem pembelajaran yang sedang kita buat. Kelima, Evaluation yaitu proses untuk melihat apakah sistem pembelajaran yang sedang dibangun berhasil, sesuai dengan harapan awal atau tidak. Evaluasi merupakan langkah terakhir dari model desain sistem pembelajaran ADDIE. Berdasarkan pengembangan instruksional model ADDIE tersebut kemudian diadopsi dalam tahapan pengembangan model pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan, dengan kebaharuan MPC (Modification of Project Citizen) yang relevan di era media digital dan dikembangkan berdasarkan implementasi pendidikan karakter dan ketercapaian kompetensi Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan.

This research aims to find out a design of Citizenship Education Learning Model in the era of digital media as a support for the implementation of character education. The research method uses research and development (Research and Development (R & D), which is a research method used to produce specific products and test the validity and effectiveness of the product. This study uses a procedural development model. The procedure in this study adapted the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluation) The sample in this study involved State and Private Universities in Central Java. The results of the study showed the following: first Analysis is to do a needs analysis, identify problems (needs), and perform task analysis. The design phase is to formulate learning objectives Third, Development is the process of creating blueprint with digital media innovation Fourth, Implementation is a real step to implement the learning system that we are making Fifth, Evaluation is a process to see whether the learning system successful according to initial expectations or not. Evaluation is the final step of the ADDIE learning system design model. Based on the ADDIE model instructional development, it was later adopted in the stages of developing the Citizenship Education learning model, with the modification of MPC (Modification of Project Citizen) relevant in the era of digital media and developed based on the implementation of character education and achievement of competencies in Citizenship Education
Penumbuhan kemampuan berpikir kritis PKn melalui model numbered head together
Kegiatan pembelajaran dengan model numbered head together (NHT) dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan aspek kognitif dalam pembelajaran PKn. Aspek ini dapat dikembangkan dengan menanamkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Model NHT merupakan suatu model pembelajaran yang mengutamakan antusias siswa dalam mencari, mengolah, dan mempresentasikan hasil informasi yang telah diperoleh di depan kelas berdasarkan nomor yang diperoleh oleh masing-masing siswa. Langkah pembelajaran model NHT diantaranya: 1) siswa dibagi menjadi beberapa kelompok kecil, 2) setiap siswa mendapatkan nomor yang berbeda, 3) guru memberi tugas pada masing-masing kelompok, 4) siswa diminta menyelesaikan dan mendiskusikan jawaban bersama kelompok masing-masing, 5) guru memanggil salah satu nomor, kemudian siswa yang memperoleh nomor keluar dari kelompoknya dan menjelaskan tugas yang telah dikerjakan di depan kelas, 5) kelompok yang tidak mendapatkan giliran memberikan tanggapan dan masukkan kepada kelompok yang maju, 6) siswa bersama guru menyimpulkan hasil pekerjaan mereka.
This learning activity carried out to reveal the cognitive aspects of learning civics. This aspect can be developed by teaching students\u27 critical thinking skills. The NHT is a learning model that prioritizes students\u27 enthusiasm in searching, processing, and presenting the results of information that has obtain in front of the class based on the numbers obtained by each student. The learning step of the NHT model are as follows: 1) students are divided into small groups, 2) each student gets a different number, 3) teacher give an assignment to each group, 4) students ask to complete and discuss answers with the group respectively, 5) the teacher calls one of the numbers, then the students who gets the teaching comes out of the group and explains the assignment that has been done in front of the class, 6) student and teacher summarizes the results of their work together
Analisis kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah siswa pada materi optik: Problem-based learning berbantuan edu-media simulation
Terdapat banyak model pembelajaran yang diterapkan untuk menganalisis kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah siswa. Namun, belum banyak model yang diintegrasikan dengan pembelajaran berbasis simulasi online untuk meningkatkan kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah siswa. Padahal, saat ini ada banyak website simulasi online yang diterbitkan oleh lembaga pendidikan atau universitas di tingkat internasional dan jarang digunakan dalam penelitian. Penelitian ini mengintegrasikan model pembelajaran inovatif dengan pembelajaran berbasis online simulation untuk meningkatkan kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah siswa. Website simulasi yang digunakan adalah Edu-media simulation. Dalam website ini ada banyak simulasi fisika yang disediakan, tetapi belum banyak penelitian yang menerapkan simulasi ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan kuasi eksperimen yang terdiri dari satu kelas eksperimen dengan sampel 25 siswa kelas XI MIA 3 di SMA N 1 Prambanan Yogyakarta. Argumentasi ilmiah siswa diukur melalui instrumen tes uraian. Data argumentasi ilmiah siswa dianalisis menggunakan paired sample t-test dan pola argumentasi Toulmin (TAP). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PBL berbantuan edu-media simulation dapat meningkatkan kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah siswa baik secara kuantitatif maupun kualitatif. Ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai t value -11.051 \u3c -1.711 bahwa terdapat perbedaan nilai rata-rata argumentasi pada pre-test (17) dan post-test (47). Dalam hal ini, siswa sudah mampu membuat klaim yang tegas dengan menyajikan bukti dan alasan yang mendukung klaim.
Analyzing students\u27 scientific argumentation skill in optic: Problem-based learning assisted edu-media simulation
Abstract
There are many learning models applied to analyze the ability of students\u27 scientific argumentation. However, not many models have been integrated with online simulation-based learning to improve students\u27 scientific argumentation skills. In fact, there are currently many online simulation websites published by educational institutions or international universities and rarely used in research. This research integrates innovative learning models with online simulation-based learning to improve students\u27 scientific argumentation skills. The simulation website used is Edu-media simulation. In this website there are many physics simulations provided, but not many studies have applied this simulation. This research was conducted with a quasi-experimental consisting of one experimental class with a sample of 25 XI MIA 3 graders in Prambanan High School 1 Yogyakarta. Students\u27 scientific arguments are measured through a description test instrument. Students\u27 scientific argumentation data were analyzed using paired sample t-test and Toulmin argumentation patterns (TAP). The results showed that PBL assisted by edu-media simulation can improve students\u27 scientific argumentation ability both quantitatively and qualitatively. This is indicated by the value of t value -11.051 \u3c-1.711 that there are differences in the average value of argumentation in the pre-test (17) and post-test (47). In this case, students have been able to make assertive claims by presenting evidence and reasons that support the claim
Baseball and biomechanics: Injury prevention for baseball pitcher
Pitching was the fastest motion in baseball. Upper extremity has important roles especially in shoulder, elbow, wrist, and fingers. The purpose of this study was to integrate the information in a resume of biomechanical pitching and baseball pitcher\u27s injuries. The data base used refers to PubMed, SAGE, and Elsevier and several relevance journals related to baseball and injuries. Source refers to the data since December 2017 to the oldest 2000 to get data source in baseball pitcher injuries. Upper arm has the prominent role when pitching to get maximum motion and joints stabilize. Rotator cuff muscle generate rotation in the shoulder while pitching and control shoulder joints in the lower arm\u27s muscles and joints. Baseball pitcher has a special skill in the strength, speed, and endurance. They had to keep their performance to avoid from injury especially shoulder and elbow injuries. Biomechanical analysis can help to evaluated performance in monitoring dan give recommendation to elevate skills and prevent injury. Knowledge and understanding about basic of pitching have to mastering before elevate to the next level. Further study can focus on the time for the pitcher to improve the skills and maximizing the pitch type to avoid from injuries
Analisis kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita persamaan linear dua variabel
Tujuan dari penelitian kualitatif ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita persamaan linear dua variabel. Sumber data merupakan 23 siswa kelas VIII yang telah diajar persamaan linear dua variabel. Data yang diambil adalah jawaban tertulis siswa dan hasil wawancara siswa yang menjadi subyek penelitian. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif melalui tahapan berikut: 1) membaca dan menelaah data jawaban tertulis satu per satu untuk menentukan kesalahan yang dialami siswa (reading), 2) membuat deskripsi singkat mengenai kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa (describing), dan 3) mengelompokkan kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa berdasarkan indikator tahap pemecahan masalah Polya (classifying). Dari hasil analisis data jawaban tertulis, peneliti menentukan 5 subyek penelitian yang selanjutnya akan diwawancarai. Hasil wawancara digunakan untuk melengkapi data jawaban tertulis siswa yang menjadi subyek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan terjadi pada setiap indikator tahap pemecahan masalah Polya. Jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa adalah kesalahan fakta, kesalahan prosedur, dan kesalahan karena kecerobohan. Penyebab kesalahan tersebut diantaranya adalah keterampilan pemahaman bacaan siswa yang terbatas, siswa belum mampu mengidentifikasi informasi yang relevan dalam soal cerita, siswa belum terbiasa mengerjakan soal cerita, manajemen waktu yang kurang baik, dan siswa belum menguasai dengan baik materi matematika yang dibutuhkan untuk menyelesaikan soal cerita.
The analysis of students\u27 error in solving the linear equation of two variables word problem
Abstract
The purpose of this qualitative research was to describe the error of students in solving the linear equation of two variables word problem. The data source was 23 eight grade students who have been taught about the linear equation of two variables. The data are student-written answer in solving the linear equation of two variables word problem and the results of the interview from the students who become the research subjects. Data were analyzed descriptively through the steps as follows;1) read and reviewed the written answer data one by one to determine the errors experienced by students (reading), 2) made a brief description of the errors made by students (describing), and 3) classified errors made by students based on Polya\u27s problem-solving stage indicators (classifying). From the results of the written answer data analysis, the researcher determines 5 research subjects who will follow the interview. The results of the interview used to complete the written answer data of students who were the research subject. The study showed that errors occur in Polya\u27s problem-solving stage indicators. The types of errors made by students were a factual error, procedural error, and carelessness error. The causes of such errors include the limited skills of student\u27s reading comprehension, student\u27s inability in identifying relevant information in word problems, students were not familiar to solve the word problem, poor time management, and students not mastering the mathematical material needed to solve the word problems
