What began as a documentary and experiment in filmmaking while driving passengers has become an ongoing social media campaign and YouTube channel. This first in a series introduces filmmaker Jon Paul Bruce, as he explores the balance between Public Safety, Duty of Care, and the Law as a Rideshare (Uber) Driver.
Inspired by a fine he received for assisting a mobility-impaired passenger, Jon investigates the legal and practical challenges of pickups and drop-offs. Through serious inquiry and interactive content, the project illuminates some of the overlooked aspects of Rideshare driving and the challenge of maintaining safety and convenience while adhering to road rules
Involvulus [Film]
Involvulus is a psychological horror film that follows Marcus, A man who returns home from a long camping trip, opens the side door to his house and accidentally lets his dog out. Now stuck searching for the dog in the middle of the night he gets lost in a nightmare and becomes stalked by a monster.
The aim of the project is to create an experimental thriller/atmospheric horror film with an emphasis on visual storytelling and experimentation. Creating an atmosphere of dread and melancholy through the visuals and sound design. The monster of the film is inspired by the local Australian legend of the ‘Bunyip’
