Application of quantum entanglement to explain the healing mechanism by highly diluted homoeopathic medicines

    No full text
Background: The healing mechanism of highly diluted homoeopathic medicines (DHM) is not yet very clear. Objectives: Our objective is to apply the concepts of entropy, information, and quantum mechanical principle of entanglement to find a model for explaining the healing mechanism of DHM. Methodology: All living or non-living things are composed of dynamic microscopic quantum particles (electrons, protons, ions, etc.) which follow the basic properties of quantum mechanics such as quantum entanglement, superposition of quantum states and coherent interaction among these particles. The continuous change of thermodynamic entropies of the dynamic living cells leads to information change for cellular communication and to keep the cells living. It is assumed that the quantum particles associated with the medicine molecules are quantum mechanically entangled. Similar particles associated with the dynamic living cells are also quantum mechanically entangled. The entangled states of the particles associated with the medicinal molecules (ASMM) coherently interact with the corresponding entangled states of the quantum particles associated with the disease cells (AESDC). ‘Quantum swapping’ – a quantum mechanical technique, the entangled systems (states) may interact and produce a new entangled system (state). Results: The said interaction of ASMM and AESDC causes decoherence or breaking of relatively smaller number of AESDC states. This decoherence means no entropy change among the diseased cells. This means death of the disease cell leading to the cure of the disease. Conclusion: The quantum entangled states of the medicinal molecule itself carry the curative signatures of the medicine molecules and cure the disease

    No full text
Introduction: Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA) are the main phenotypes of psoriatic disease. PsA is a chronic inflammatory arthritis, associated with psoriasis that can cause joint damage and can severely impact a patient’s quality of life (QoL). Case Summary: A 21-yearold male suffering from PsA for three years presented in the outpatient department. He was previously treated with different methods of treatment without much relief. Clinically along with psoriatic rash, patient reported swelling, pain and stiffness of joints, causing restriction of movement. In addition, patient also presented with ophthalmic and gastric complaints. After a thorough clinical evaluation, Phosphorus in increasing potency (up to 0/12), was prescribed during one year of follow-up. The impact of the disease and its treatment on QoL and the outcome were assessed using tools such as Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI), and PsA impact of disease-12 (PsAID12). The Modified Naranjo Criteria for Homoeopathy inventory score was also used to assess the possible causal attribution between the treatment and outcome. This case report demonstrates a remarkable improvement of patient’s presenting complaints as well as the improvement in both PASI and PsAID12 scores with individualised homoeopathic treatment

    No full text
Introduction: Epilepsy can be defined as a seizure disorder due to a change in electric activity in the brain which comprises a variety of disorders due to underlying brain dysfunction which increases the pre-disposition for seizures. It is a serious public health problem that affects the normal activity and quality of life of an individual. Homoeopathic medicines are successfully used for the treatment of epilepsy. Hence, research is needed with documentation of well-defined case reports. Here we present a case of epilepsy which was cured by individualised homoeopathic medicine after repertorisation. Case summary: A 52-year-old male presented with complaints of epileptic attack with unconsciousness since three years. Lachesis was the drug chosen for treatment in LM potency for 9 months and no epileptic attack was experienced after that. The patient was cured after the treatment, confirmed by EEG reports before and after the treatment. The causal attribution of homoeopathic medicine was assessed through Modified Naranjo Criteria for Homoeopathy (MONARCH) which scored 8 suggesting a definite causal relationship between the medicine and the outcome. This report indicates that a correctly chosen homoeopathic medicine can be helpful in the treatment of epilepsy

Homoeopathic intervention in dual autoimmune disorders: A case report on management of vitiligo and hashimoto thyroiditis

    No full text
Background: Vitiligo and Hashimoto Thyroiditis often occur as chronic autoimmune disorders that require careful evaluation and individualised management. This case study examines the usefulness of homoeopathic interventions in addressing the complexities of Vitiligo and Hashimoto Thyroiditis through evidence-based methodologies. Case Summary: A 57-year-old woman initially sought medical attention for a noticeable whitish discolouration on the left side of her lips. Subsequent evaluations unveiled the presence of hypothyroidism, marked by elevated Anti-TPO levels, exposing the dual autoimmune nature of her condition. The patient’s concerns centered on the aesthetic impact of vitiligo on her lips and the broader health implications of Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. The coexistence of vitiligo and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis required simultaneous evaluation of both dermatological and thyroid-related findings. The patient underwent homoeopathic treatment at the outpatient department of the Regional Research Institute for Homoeopathy, Shimla. Following the intervention, recovery from the signs and symptoms of both vitiligo and Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis was observed. Photographic evidence and serological investigations, including Serum TSH and anti-TPO, demonstrated significant improvement in the conditions. This evidence-based case report highlights the potential positive role of Homoeopathy in the management of complex dual autoimmune conditions, providing insights into the successful recovery of the patient both clinically and serologically

Background: Dyslipidaemia, the derangement of one or many of the lipoproteins is a major cause of cardiovascular events, causing 2.6 million deaths per year globally. Objectives: This study evaluated the efficacy of individualised homoeopathic medicines with lifestyle modification in the management of dyslipidaemia. Materials and Methods: This multicentric, open-label, randomised controlled exploratory trial was conducted at seven study sites under the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy. Participants fulfilling the eligibility criteria were enrolled. The primary outcome was to evaluate changes in Low-Density Lipoprotein cholesterol at months 3 and 6. Secondary outcomes were to evaluate changes in total cholesterol, triglyceride, and high-density lipoprotein at months 3 and 6. Results: All pre-determined study outcomes followed the intention-to-treat approach. 217 patients (Individualised Homoeopathy (IH) along with lifestyle modification (IH plus therapeutic lifestyle changes [TLC]) n = 107; Placebo along with TLC (n = 110) were enrolled and analysed. Independent t-test at month 6 showed a statistically significant reduction in LDL (mean difference ± standard error: 7.03 ± 3.3; 95% confidence interval = 0.5–13.5; p = 0.03) favouring IH over placebo. Improvement in secondary outcomes; reduction in total cholesterol (p \u3e 0.05) and triglycerides (p \u3e 0.05) was greater in the IH group but was statistically insignificant (p \u3e 0.05). Associated symptoms such as rheumatological and neurological complaints also improved in the IH group. Frequently prescribed medicines were Lycopodium, Sulphur, and Calcarea carbonica. Conclusion: IH along with lifestyle modification was found to play a potential role in reducing the LDL cholesterol and in the management of dyslipidaemia. Further blinded studies in different settings and long-term follow-up are warranted

Introduction: Renal calculi are the most frequent urological illness. It can be caused by genetic, nutritional, or environmental factors. Ovarian cysts are fluid-filled structures which can be simple or complex. It can affect females of any age, whether during puberty or menopause. These disorders remain a medical challenge due to their complex aetiology and high incidence. Sometimes the symptoms grow so severe for the patient that treatment and time lost from work involve substantial costs, compromising their social, physical, psychological, and financial well-being. Case summary: This is a case report of a 38-year-old female having sharp cutting pain in lumbar region for six months. The complaints were accompanied by profuse black menstrual bleeding, associated with lower abdominal pain before and during menses. This article explains a case of multiple renal calculi and bilateral ovarian cysts cured with well-selected homoeopathic remedy Ignatia amara, after detailed case taking and repertorisation, which improved the physical as well as mental well-being of the patient. Using the Modified Naranjo Criteria for Homeopathy (MONARCH), the causal attribution of homoeopathic treatment to the outcome was evaluated. This case report shows the usefulness of the homoeopathic medicine Ignatia amara on the basis of individualisation in cases of multiple renal calculi and bilateral ovarian cysts

Background: The physicochemical properties of homoeopathic medicines have been gaining importance in elucidating the physicochemical behaviour (interactions) and, hence in establishing the presence of medicine at ultra-high dilutions. Objective: The present study is aimed to reconnoiter the existence of drug in ultra-diluted medicines and evidence regarding the physicochemical behaviour and prevailing interactions in the dilutions of Acidum citricum. Materials and Methods: The densities (ρ), ultrasonic speeds (u) and viscosities (η) of pure ethanol control (91% ethanol in water) and 33 dilutions of Acidum citricum of potencies across 1C to 200C at temperatures from 293.15 K to 318.15 K and at atmospheric pressure. Results: The measured data are used to compute the physicochemical parameters, viz., isentropic compressibility (κs), intermolecular free lengths (Lf), acoustic impedance (Z) relative association (RA), relaxation time (τ), ultrasonic absorption (α/f2) pseudo-Grüneisen parameter (Γ), deviations in isentropic compressibility, (Δκs), deviations in intermolecular free length, (ΔLf), deviations in acoustic impedance (ΔZ), deviations in viscosity (Δη) and deviations in pseudo-Grüneisen parameter (ΔΓ). These parameters specified diverse trends at certain potencies of these homoeopathic dilutions. Conclusion: The results are qualitatively interpreted by means of prevailing interactions of these Acidum citricum dilutions. It is observed that the interactions may take place among H+ and citrate ions and the molecular aggregates of water-ethanol, i.e., dissipative structures. The results specified that even in high-dilutions (50C, 110C, 150C and 160C) the molecules of medicine may still exist in these homoeopathic formulations
