Management and control of genetic processes in cotton plants through homoeopathy
Detailed study on effects of homoeopathic drugs on plant bodies was undertaken at Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology (ICAR) in Mumbai. This paper presents promising results of some of these preliminary experiments. This study reveals that electrically neutral and pure distilled water develops internal electrical charges as soon as homoeopathic drugs are added into it. Different drugs as well as different potencies of same drug develop different electrical charges. Further experiments, conducted on plants, proved that medicated water containing drugs of highest potency strongly influences the genetic processes of plants. It can accelerate germination process, can shorten cultivation period, can enhance yield as well as quality of cotton crop and also makes it possible to grow it during off-season
Agave americana: A multicentric double blind study carried out by CCRH
Objective of the study was to elicit the pathogenetic effects of Agave americana on healthy human volunteers. The human pathogenetic trial was conducted at four Research Institutes/Units of Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH). It was a randomized placebo controlled study, in which twenty eight volunteers participated, out of which twenty were kept on drug and eight were on placebo. The drug has produced certain skin and gastric symptoms similar to its known toxic effects, such as acute contact dermatitis, gastric irritation. Besides, symptoms pertaining to other parts of the body have also been brought out during the course of human pathogenetic trial
Single remedy vs. multiple prescribing
System of Homoeopathy is both science and art. From the time of Samuel Hahnemann the practitioners of this system were experimenting different modes of prescribing while treating patients. As the time went ahead many new methods of prescription also came into existence. The purpose of this article is to address a very basic fundamental issue of Homoeopathy, as to know to which stream of practice does the reader belong to. The following excerpts are quoted from the Classical writings of stalwarts in the field of Homoeopathy. After going through them please send us your valuable remarks so that a dialogue on it can be a great help to the whole Homoeopathic fraternity
Damiana – A clinical verification study: (A multicentric study conducted by CCRH)
Damiana or Turnera aphrodisiaca has been traditionally used as an invigorating and aphrodisiac herb in different schools of medicine for centuries. In homoeopathy, however, its use has been made besides the above conditions, for various other disorders like amenorrhoea, dysmenorrhoea, leucorrhoea, sterility and frigidity in females and spermatorrhoea, urinary tract infection and migraine in adults. It has also been used for incontinence of urine and affection of prostate in old people with success. The Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy undertook a clinical study to verify and confirm the uses of Damiana as mentioned in the homoeopathic materia medica2,3 with the objective of evolving its clinical drug picture. Three thousand thirty two patients, comprising of 2,383 males and 649 females were enrolled in the study. This study not only confirms its therapeutic use in sexual debility, impotency but also in migraine, leucorrhoea, dysmenorrhoea, constipation, affection of the prostate, general fatigue etc. as noted in the literature. It also has delineated characteristics, which would help in differentiating Damiana from other similar remedies given in the homoeopathic materia medica. Few new symptoms and signs were also noted during its clinical use as above, which may be confirmed in the proving of this drug in future
A case of diabetic foot gangrene
A case of diabetic foot gangrene, advised for amputation, was treated with Homoeopathic medicines. The gangrenous foot was not only saved from amputation but completely healed up miraculously with the Homoeopathic similimum
