EKSU Journal of the Management Scientists: Effect of Electronic Accounting Payroll System on Performance of University Teaching Hospitals in Kwara State, Nigeria
Teaching hospitals in Kwara State, Nigeria, face challenges in managing payroll, impacting financial performance and employee satisfaction. This study examined the impact of electronic accounting payroll systems on the performance of University Teaching Hospitals (UTHs) In Kwara State. Using a survey design, data collected from 178 respondents, including auditors, accountants, ICT staff, and senior employees, through closed-ended questionnaire was analyzed using descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (Ordinary Least Square regression analysis) to estimate all the hypotheses. Results showed that accounting payroll systems and web-management payroll systems (β = 0.040, p = 0.000; β = 0.071, p = 0.000) significantly influence UTHs performance in Kwara State, while payroll internal control systems do not (β = 0.420, p= 0.367). Therefore, the study concluded that accounting payroll system and web-management payroll system are good predictors of performance of UTHs in Kwara State, Nigeria. This implies that the more robust and efficient these payroll systems are, the better the performance of the hospitals. Whereas, the current internal control systems in place for payroll may not be effectively contributing to the performance outcomes of these hospitals. The study recommends UTHs in Kwara State to invest in and continue using electronic accounting and web-management payroll systems to enhance performance and sustainability

EDITORIAL
Publishing of well researched papers in reputable journals has become an indispensable culture that must necessarily be adhered to by all academics in the university system. Now that the publishing market has been proliferated by all manners of seemingly "International Journals" the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education, EKSU has decided to float a journal that will attain all the attributes of Real International Standards.
The birth of this journal, (Journal of Human Kinetics and Health Education Pedagogy), did not come out of the blues, but came as a result of deliberate efforts of some members of the Department, who used their many years of vast experiences in editing, reviewing and publishing quality papers in many renowned, local and international journals.
The maiden edition ensures the publication of articles from different segments of human kinetics, health education and related issues. The journal also enjoys wide- spread patronage from different authors to ascertain its global outlook.
Members of the Editorial Board wish to assure the reading public and intending authors that this journal shall be published on regular basis in conformity with the dynamic trend in academic world. Our appreciation goes to the Heads of Department, past and present, the Professors and other members of the Department for their contributions to the successful launch of this journal.

EKSU Journal of the Management Scientists: Impact of Service Quality on Customers’ Satisfaction among Globacom Subscribers in Offa Local Government
Nigeria is not an exception to the fierce competition in the global telecommunications sector. In an attempt to gain market share, every company in the telecommunications sector has not given up on promoting its goods and services to the general public. It is against this backdrop that this research sought to empirically measure how service quality impacts on customers’ satisfaction among Globacom (GLO) users in Offa. The data used for this study were obtained using a structured survey questionnaire. The questions were close ended and the sample consists of 426 GLO subscribers in Offa, using a simple convenient sampling technique spread across Offa Local Government Areas. The data obtained from the survey were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), Version 20. The survey was restricted to subscribers using GLO. The result revealed that assurance and reliability have significant impact on customer satisfaction, while responsiveness has no significant impact on customers’ satisfaction. The study recommended that Globacom service providers should focus more attention on service quality so as to retain their exiting subscribers and the attracting new subscribers
