EKSU Journal of the Management Scientists: Human Capital Development and Economic Growth in Nigeria
This study examined the effects of human capital development on economic growth in Nigeria from 1981 to 2021. The goals are to define the patterns in human capital development and economic advancement, assess the impact of these trends, and establish a causal link between these trends and economic growth. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) collected further information on administrative expenditure on education, government expenditure on health, and real gross domestic product from the Statistical Bulletin (a number of publications). The data set\u27s stationarity was evaluated using the unit root test (Augmented Dickey-Fuller) unit root test. The Granger pairwise causality evaluation was used to evaluate the directions of loss among the variables, while the Engle-Granger single equation Cointegration assessment was utilized to determine the long-term correlation between the variables. The Cointegration test\u27s outcome showed that the qualities\u27 cointegrating correlation was nonexistent. Additionally, the results of the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression estimate showed that the growth of the economy in Nigeria is relevantly influenced by administrative expenditures on health as opposed to education. The results of the causation test also showed that the expansion of the Nigerian economy was caused by administrative costs for health and education. The study came to the conclusion that administrative spending on health and education had a positive and significant impact on economic growth in Nigeria. Therefore, it was suggested that the government should cautiously implement policies to promote human capital development in order to spur economic growth, invest in education because it is an engine for economic growth, support the health sector by supplying all hospitals with cutting-edge technology that can keep up with that used in advanced nations

EKSU Journal of the Management Scientists: Environmental Accounting Practices and Share Value of Quoted Deposit Money Banks in Nigeria
The study investigated the effect of environmental accounting practices (EAP) on share value of quoted Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) in Nigeria during the period 2010-2019. Ex post facto research design was used. The population comprised 22 listed DMBs on the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX) as at December 31, 2019 of which ten with relevant data were selected using purposive sampling technique. Descriptive and inferential statistics were employed to analyse the data collected. Without the intervening effect of bank size, the results revealed that environmental accounting practice has an insignificant positive impact on share value, with a 2.4951 coefficient value and a probability value of 0.2740 higher than the 5% significant level. The results also revealed that EAP has a significant effect on share value when bank size is an intervening variable, as shown by the adjusted R-squared of 0.1470, the F-statistic of 9.5295, and probability of 0.0002. The study concluded that EAP significantly affect the share value of listed DMBs in Nigeria. It is therefore recommended that Nigeria’s listed DMBs management should ensure proper waste management, efficient use of energy, and reduce the use of paper in order to avoid negative impacts on their environment. In addition to this, the management of quoted DMBs should disclose information about their EAP in their annual reports
