Anthropometric characteristics of female junior national team volleyball players: a comparative study
Athlete's anthropometric and physical characteristics may represent important pre-requisites for successful performance in volleyball. Thus, the objective is to compare Macedonian Junior National Team players with National Team players from other countries in terms of anthropometric characteristics in a qualitative manner. Female volleyball players (N=320) aged 13-18 years that are part of Macedonian Junior National Team and Junior National Teams competing at the Girls’ U18 World Championships 2017 and 2019 were included in the study. Players’ data were extracted from the official player’s statistics posted at the official databases of Volleyball Federation of Macedonia and FIVB. Based on data from the Microsoft Office Excel Spreadsheet, graphs were created. Height can be considered as a disadvantage of Macedonian Junior National Team players against players that are part of National Teams competing at Girls’ U18 World Championships 2017 and 2019. All National Teams have shown high homogeneity in terms of players’ anthropometric characteristics. We advise Macedonian coaches to take in consideration body height and body mass of the players during the volleyball pre-selection process, because anthropometric characteristics of the players highly influence the level of performance and the final match outcome.

Mental training in sports preparation for skiers
The aim of the paper was to test the impactof mental training in sports preparation ofskiers. The basic research group consistedof 12 skiers aged 7-11 years. To determinetheir mind set we used a non-standardizedquestionnaire, which was the basis fordividing the research subjects into twogroups. The experimental group whichconsisted of 7 participants had apredominance of fixed mindset (FM). Theirdecimal age was 8.3 ± 1.3 years, bodyheight 136.3 ± 8.8 cm, body weight 32.4 ±11.3 kg, sports age 4.7 ± 1.4 years. Thegrowth mindset (GM) control groupconsisted of 5 participants. Their averagedecimal age was 9.7 ± 2.2, body height 142± 14.6 cm, body weight 39.04 ± 9.2 kg,sports age 5.2 ± 2.6 years. Sportsperformance was evaluated using thegymnastic exercise test which is part of thegeneral sports preparation of skiers. Weused the Wilcoxon non-parametric test atthe 5% significance level and the nonstandardizedFM and GM allocation key toevaluate the results of the gymnastics test.We used the Spearman correlationcoefficient to determine the relationshipbetween the GM points and the gymnasticstest. By analysing the results, we found thatdue to mental training in the experimentalgroup, there was an increase in GM pointsin 3 skiers compared to the control groupwhere there was no increase. Analysis ofthe results in the gymnastic test showedthat in the experimental group there was astatistically significant improvement(p<0.05) in average performance for all 7skiers. In the control group, theimprovement in the average performancein the gymnastics test was statisticallyinsignificant (p˃0.05) in 4 out of 5 skiers. The pilot study pointed out the possibleimpact of using mental training in sportspreparation for skiers
Comparison of the activities of teacher trainees during physical aducation teaching practice
Out of the pedagogical researches there are available, specific for the subject itself, special motion tuition methods to monitor PE classes that can greatly support the examination of the work and interaction of educators and students. The study performs certain details of a proximate category system-based observation that is focused on the examined PE lessons held by the primary teacher trainees during their teaching practice. The aim of the research was to recognize the most representative activities of a lesson by applying a category system with work types of 13 teachers and 7 pupils, another aspect was to compare the results according to the gender, and determine whether the students could be specialized or not specialized in physical education and sports.

Role of the ride bicycle and bicycle tourism in the students recreation
Bicycle tourism is a vacation or a visitor activity based on cycling, partlyas a mode of transport and partly as recreational. Bicycle is a goodrecreational activity for the younger generation and can also play animportant role in school education. Hungary has favorable conditions forthe development of cycling tourism, despite the many positive values, however, exploitation of cycling tourism has so far been limited. Creatingan opportunity for recreational cycling would be important in our country
Eating habits of pupils in first level primary education
This work presents the results of research on the eating habits of pupilsin first level primary education of intentionally chosen schools of centralSlovakia. We discovered that most pupils eat five times a day which isconsidered satisfactory. Also, the intake of fluids and fruit is acceptable. There were some deficiencies in the chosen lifestyle risk factors. 43.2%of boys and 12.8% of girls seem to have some experience withoccasional drinking of alcohol, usually offered by parents and otherrelatives
The social characteristics of folklore dancers and their family members in some manifest stratification variables: gender differences
In the present paper, using social identity and self-categorization theories as theoretical frameworks, we explore the role that social identity plays in affecting individual well-being of Folk-dancers, both Male (M) and Female (F) in Nis (Serbia). The status of manifest stratification variables were established on the Total sample of respondents (N=70), members of the Academic Cultural Artistic Ensemble AKUD “ORO”, in Nis (M=33; F=37). For the determination of social characteristics, the Questionnaire SSMIN-Reduced (after model according to Saksida, Petrović & Momirović, 1972) was applied. The Questionnaire includes five 5 scales (15 items) with possibility of choosing provided statements. The first (1) scale explore the statements of Folk-Dancers on their own and close family members formal educational level; the second scale (2) is relating to the basic residential status; the third scale (3) evaluate the professional status, the fourth scale (4) gives the information on sports status and activity of examined subjects, and the fifth scale (5) gives the information on the knowledge of foreign languages. In line with predictions, social identification was significantly related to, and mediated the relationship between family group factors and individual well-being. The special issues as whole points to the capacity for a social identity approach to enrich academic understanding in these areas and provide a bridge between social psychological concepts and some demographical and educational domains. On the base of social status manifest variables analysis results it is possible to collect very important information for further studies with similar issues in the social domain
The influence of racket sports on sportsman's hand
The authors present the results of comparison of reflex changes existence within the small muscles of the hand and the mobility of fingers, on the dominant hand, in three rocket sports. Tennis, table tennis and badminton are characterized by the permanent rocket holding, which changes, according to the type of strike. The aim of the study was to find out if the dominant hand changes, as a result of training, within the individual sports, differently. For objectification of the difference in expansion range occuring in fingers mobility on dominant hand, was used the syntopic measurement method. Palpatory examination assesed the existence of reflex changes in musculus (m.)digiti minimi, m. oponnens pollicis a m. adductor pollicis area. The research sample consisted of 90 respondents, out of them were 30 tennis players, 30 table tennis players and 30 badminton players the ages of 15 to 18, both sexes. The measurement was perfomed identicaly on the dominant hand and was compared to the results measured on the non-dominant hand. They supported the premise, that characteristic changes in the hand area are caused by trainings of all the rocket sports. Statistacally signicant restriction of fingers extension showed differently in the three sports, mostly in tennis, followed by table tennis and the least in badminton. Occurance of reflex changes was the most frequent in m. adductor pollicis in badminton and in zone m. oponnens pollicis, in tennis. The results of the research show the importance of paying attention not only to proximal joints of upper extremity, but also to a hand, as a final organ, which significantly contributes on the strike technique in all sports covered
The impact of functional respiratory variables on swimming
The aim of this study was strenghtening respiratory muscles in a direction of increasing inspiratory capacity and its effect on underwater swimming performance. Experimental sample was composed by subjects T1 – competitive swimmers (n = 5), age 17,53-23,17 years, Height 170,0cm – 183,0cm and bodyweight 61,5kg – 77,7 kg and subjects T2- Physical education and Sports department students from Faculty of Arts, Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica (n = 5), age 19,87 – 22,36 years, Height 169,5cm – 183,0 cm, bodyweight 57,7kg – 79,2 kg. Powerbreathe Plus was inserted into all workouts of subjects and into their daily life as well for 10 weeks. Subjects completed tasks 2 times per day when they were inhalating 30 times every morning and evening. The impact of experimental factor was recorded via specific test by respiratory machine Powerbreathe K 5. Test was targeted on detecting intensity index, maximal inspiration speed and also on inspiration capacity. Second test consisted of maximal distance underwater swimming with inspiration before going under water. The results showed positive differences in functional respiratory variables on a rank from 8,6% - 36,9% in T1 and from 7,1% - 27,7% in T2 sample. In underwater swimming test subjects also improved in both samples, when T1 improved from 9,8% - 14,3% (SD 3,18) and T2 improved from 6,8% to 12,7%. The inspiration training effect was confirmed on 5% significance level. In the same time results showed high correlation coeficients of mutual dependance of tracked variables
The endurance ability level of elementary school students in Banská Bystrica
Nowadays it is so common to decrease general training in all sports. Although it is not bringing success, sports are fighting each other for attracting as many as kids for their field. Then we are often meeting the mistake of early specialization due to results oriented parents, coaches etc. The endurance abilities are one of the general abilities of all people. General endurance is creating a prerequisite for good aerobic abilities, which we can use in every single sport activity. Actually people in Banská Bystrica are more and more interested in running so naturaly endurance is one of the key factor that they should concentrate about. Čillík et al. (2015) were testing endurance abilities of childs. In our research we were examinating endurance abilities of early childhood students in Banská Bystrica. The sample were created from purposely choosed respondents (n= 240, boys= 124, girls= 116). There were significant differences between all classes of elementary schools. (p < 0,01). Significant differences were found between first and third grade, then between first and fourth grade as well independently on gender
