Estrategias de aprendizaje de estudiantes universitarios en ambientes híbridos
Get PDFUniversity students acquire knowledge based on their motivation, degree of cognitive development, and learning style, allowing high educational levels with the support of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The objective was to propose strategies to be used by university students in hybrid learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. With a hermeneutical research method, a documentary study of a qualitative nature, a descriptive-exploratory, and a propositional approach. The bibliographic review showed that university students have used various strategies for the acquisition of knowledge that have led to the management of cognitive and metacognitive resources. Strategies are proposed that allow them to adopt a critical position to promote a quality educational process and meaningful learning.Los estudiantes universitarios adquieren conocimiento con base a su motivación, grado de desarrollo cognitivo y estilo de aprendizaje, permitiendo altos niveles educativos con apoyo de las Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación (TIC). El objetivo fue proponer estrategias a ser utilizadas por los estudiantes universitarios en el aprendizaje híbrido durante la pandemia del Covid-19. Con un método de investigación hermenéutico, un estudio documental de carácter cualitativo, un enfoque descriptivo-exploratorio y propositivo. La revisión bibliográfica mostró que los estudiantes universitarios han utilizado diversas estrategias para la adquisición de conocimiento que han conllevado a la gestión de recursos cognitivos y metacognitivas. Se proponen estrategias que les permitan adoptar una posición crítica para promover un proceso educativo de calidad y un aprendizaje significativo
Cambio climático y el paradigma cultural: pasos hacia una ecofilosofía emergente
Get PDFEn virtud de cada componente implícito en la situación climática, la reflexión se hace cada vez más necesaria, por lo que la deliberación filosófica se presenta como una vía fundamental para enfrentarlo. Al respecto, es necesario recordar, que algunas escuelas de Filosofía han definido que el siglo XXI, será el siglo de la solidaridad o de la barbarie. Por lo que se sugiere la exploración de los desafíos futuros para el pensamiento ambiental, recurriendo al diálogo sobre las principales preocupaciones filosóficas en torno al ambiente. Este ejercicio filosófico aporta insumos para que la educación, principalmente la ambiental, sea transformada en una verdadera escuela de pensamiento que en lugar de promover acciones remédiales a los desastres causados por el sistema vigente, genere líneas de pensamiento que promuevan cambios profundos y no solo marginales. Una educación que guíe y oriente el modo de pensar y el modo de hacer de ese ser que nos ha llevado hasta la actual crisis ambiental.Under each implicit in the climatic situation component, reflection becomes increasingly necessary, so that philosophical discussion is presented as a fundamental way to address it. In this regard, we must remember that some schools of philosophy defined the XXI century will be the century of solidarity or barbarism. So the exploration of the future challenges for environmental thinking is suggested by resorting to dialogue on major philosophical concerns about the environment. This philosophical exercise provides inputs for education, mainly environmental, to be transformed into a school of thought that instead of promoting remedial action to disasters caused by the current system, generating lines of thought that promote profound changes and not just marginal. No full textThe purpose of these lines is to remember the thought and character, in his teenage years, of the prominent academic José María Cadenas González, who died on May 6, 2019, through a kind of portrait of his life as an early thinker, between the beginning of the Perezjimenista dictatorship, in December 1952, until the fall of the dictator and the beginning of 40 years of democracy in January 1958. I witnessed the beginning of his determined intellectual and university vocation, which led him to carry out an outstanding academic career in positions such as Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Education, Academic Vice-Rector and Director of the Center for American Studies at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV); as well as Academic Advisor to the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho Foundation and other national and inter national higher education institutions.El propósito de estas líneas es recordar el pensamiento y carácter, en sus años adolescentes, del destacado académico José María Cadenas González, fallecido el 6 de mayo del 2019, mediante una especie de retrato de su vida de temprano pensador, entre el inicio de la dictadura perezjimenista, en diciembre de 1952, hasta la caída del dictador e inicio de 40 años de democracia en enero de 1958. Fui testigo del principio de su decidida vocación intelectual y universitaria, que lo llevó a realizar una destacada carrera académica en posiciones tales como Decano de la Facultad de Humanidades y Educación, Vice-Rector Académico y Director del Centro de Estudios de América en la Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV); además de Asesor Académico de la Fundación Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho y de otras instituciones de educación superior nacionales e internacionales

Get PDFA critical review of the work of the physician and historian Ricardo Archila, History of Medicine in Venezuela: Colonial Era, is made. To do this, the health and disease situation in the northern region of South America, which would become a national unit from the eighteenth century, is described. Medicine in a broad sense was conceived in that period as a social response to the situation of health and disease, and in a strict sense, it was conceived in a social institutional dimension with concrete expressions such as the figures of qualified doctors (Latinists) and Romancists, as well as other magico-religious medical practices combined with popular traditions. Archila addresses the development of the dynamics of the practice of medicine in the colonial period that covers the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries.
Keywords:Se hace una revisión critica de la obra del médico e historiador Ricardo Archila, Historia de la Medicina en Venezuela: Época Colonial. Para ello, se describe la situación de salud y enfermedad en la región septentrional de Sudamérica que se constituiría en unidad nacional a partir del siglo XVIII. La medicina en sentido amplio, era concebida en ese período como una respuesta social a la situación de salud y enfermedad, y en sentido estricto, se ideó en una dimensión institucional social con expresiones concretas como las figuras de los médicos titulados (latinistas) y romancistas, así como otras prácticas médicas mágico religiosas combinadas con tradiciones populares. Principales vocablos de la rama hotelera y turística en Ecuador, Latinoamerica y España
Get PDFEl presente artículo fue desarrollado para profesionales y estudiantes de turismo y hotelería que en forma cotidiana utilizan términos específicos de contabilidad y finanzas y tiene como objetivo general desarrollar una revisión de varios trabajos bibliográficos de los principales términos del ramo de la hotelería y el turismo, tanto en Ecuador como en otras partes de la región y el mundo, estos aplicados a la misma área, el propósito es orientar a la población académica, profesoral y a los investigadores de las ciencias inherentes, sobre los contenidos más representativos y los vocablos empleados en el contexto turístico, en torno a costos, nomenclaturas entre otros. La investigación que se presenta está desarrollada como un estudio documental, por ende, el diseño es netamente bibliográfico. Definido así, pues no existe manejo de población alguna, datos de control etc., sino que se ha determinado el alcance en específico sobre la temática de los principales términos de la hotelería y el turismo, con esto se pretende abordar la necesidad de información presente en un importante conjunto de personas que guardan relación con la materia. Luego de desarrolladas las revisiones se pudo concluir que existe un valioso conglomerado de palabras que no son manejadas ni empleadas por los especialistas en formación ni por los mismos docentes que imparten las asignaturas, por lo que el presente estudio es una colaboración a la rama del sector hotelero profesional en expansión y crecimiento.This article was developed for tourism and hospitality professionals and students who use specific accounting and finance terms on a daily basis and its general objective is to develop a review of several bibliographic works of the main terms of the hospitality and tourism industry, both In Ecuador as in other parts of the region and the world, these applied to the same area, the purpose is to guide the academic population, professors and researchers of the inherent sciences, on the most representative contents and the words used in the context tourism, around costs, nomenclatures among others. The research presented is developed as a documentary study, therefore, the design is purely bibliographic. Defined in this way, since there is no population management, control data, etc., but rather the specific scope on the subject of the main terms of hotels and tourism has been determined, with this it is intended to address the need for present information in an important group of people who are related to the matter. After developing the reviews, it was possible to conclude that there is a valuable conglomeration of words that are not handled or used by training specialists or by the same teachers who teach the subjects, so this study is a collaboration with the branch of the sector professional hotelier in expansion and growth

Get PDFEl objetivo de este estudio fue describir la educación para la paz, como alternativa de convivencia ciudadana en instituciones escolares en Bogotá, Colombia. La metodología aplicada fue descriptiva proyectiva, el diseño no experimental y transversal; el estudio contó con una muestra conformada por 48 docentes y 78 alumnos de instituciones educativas; se elaboró un instrumento de 48 ítems, el cual fue validados por expertos. Los resultados demostraron que la educación para la paz tiene como principios la equidad, justicia, tolerancia y el respecto; sin embargo, en las instituciones educativas predomina la enseñanza de la asignatura educación para la paz sólo teórica; asimismo, se determinó que la familia, el contexto social, el sistema educativo y la disposición individual de los estudiantes son los factores de mayor significancia para que los procesos de la enseñanza de la paz sea efectiva y logre cabida en la mente y el comportamiento de los ciudadanos en formación. Se concluye que la educación para la paz es una herramienta para la sana convivencia de los estudiantes y ciudadanos quienes reconocerán y valorarán sus derechos y sus obligaciones individuales y sociales, transformando los estilos de vida y las prácticas constantes de los valores morales.The objective of this study was to describe peace education as an alternative for citizen coexistence in schools in Bogotá, Colombia. The methodology applied was descriptive projective, non-experimental and cross-sectional design; the study included a sample of 48 teachers and 78 students from educational institutions; an instrument of 48 items was elaborated and validated by experts. The results showed that the principles of peace education are equity, justice, tolerance, and respect. However, in educational institutions, the teaching of peace subject education is predominantly theoretical only; likewise, it was determined that the family, the social context, the educational system, and the individual students' disposition are the most significant factors for the processes of peace education to be effective and achieve a place in the mind and behavior of the citizens in formation. It is concluded that peace education is a tool for the healthy coexistence of students and citizens who will recognize and value their rights and their individual and social obligations, transforming lifestyles and constant practices of moral values
Realidad aumentada: una herramienta tecnológica indefectible para el aprendizaje inmersivo en entornos virtuales
Get PDFThe main objective of this essay is to analyze augmented reality as an unfailing technological tool for immersive learning in virtual environments. The methodology is part of a documentary-type study, in which different documents, both printed and digital, are used, for which relevant information on the subject under study is interpreted. In order to address this research, different theories regarding augmented reality, immersive learning and virtual environments are analyzed. Immersive learning is achieved through the use of technological tools applied in virtual environments, such as augmented reality, allowing the understanding of certain subjects in university students, recreating situations, in which they will help them enhance learning through experience. In short, it can be affirmed that teachers must make use of this important technological tool, since it will be able to guide the learning of skills and abilities, favoring the discovery of information connected to the real world, turning any physical place into a stimulating academic space.El objetivo principal del presente ensayo consiste en analizar la realidad aumentada como herramienta tecnológica indefectible para el aprendizaje inmersivo en entornos virtuales. La metodología se enmarca en un estudio de tipo documental, en el que se utilizan diferentes documentos tanto impresos como digitales, para ello, se interpreta información relevante sobre el tema objeto de estudio. A los fines de abordar la presente investigación, se analizan diferentes teorías referentes a la realidad aumentada, aprendizaje inmersivo y los entornos virtuales. El aprendizaje inmersivo se logra mediante el uso de herramientas tecnológicas aplicadas en entornos virtuales, como es el caso de la realidad aumentada, permitiendo la comprensión de determinadas asignaturas en los estudiantes universitarios, recreando situaciones, en los cuales les ayudarán a potenciar el aprendizaje mediante la experiencia. En definitiva, se puede afirmar que los docentes deben hacer uso de esta importante herramienta tecnológica, ya que podrán guiar el aprendizaje de competencias y habilidades, favoreciendo el descubrimiento de información conectada al mundo real, convirtiendo cualquier lugar físico en un espacio académico estimulante
