Ability-biased technical change and productivity bonus in a nested production structure: A theoretical model with endogenous hicks-neutral technology spillover
This paper develops a model of endogenous trade-mediated productivity spillover in which jointly trade-intensity, capital-intensity of production, and skill-intensity for adoption of technology from an exogenously available stock of world knowledge determine firm's productivity. The representative firm, in the process of maximising profit (or minimising costs), takes into account the benefits of technological improvements embodied in imported intermediates. Sectors with higher skilled labour intensity will have an advantage in extracting the 'bonuses' from spillovers. The framework is useful for exploring technology adoption, considering wage premium, investigating innovative changes in sectors, and analysing productivity differences
Features of Pinguecula Analyzed by Anteroir Segment Optical Coherence Tomography
목적: 전안부 빛간섭단층촬영을 이용하여 검열반의 임상양상과 검열반의 공막침범 정도의 상관관계를 분석하고자 하였다.
대상과 방법: 2017년 2월부터 2018년 4월까지 검열반을 주소로 본원에 내원한 환자 50명(남자 17명, 여자 33명)을 대상으로 하여 검열반의 크기, 융기 정도, 색깔, 혈관화 정도를 조사하였고 전안부 빛간섭단층촬영을 시행하여 두께와 공막침범 정도를 분석하였다.
결과: 검열반의 수평직경은 평균 2.37 ± 1.12 mm로 검열반 두께 및 단면적과 유의한 양의 상관관계를 보였다(상관계수: 각 0.34, 0.42). 수직직경은 평균 2.21 ± 0.91 mm로서 검열반의 두께, 공막침범 정도, 단면적 모두와 유의한 양의 상관관계를 보였으며(상관계수: 각 0.22, 0.61, 0.33) 공막침범 두께와의 상관계수도 0.61로 높았다. 평균직경 또한 평균 2.29 ± 0.97 mm로서 검열반 두께, 단면적과 유의한 상관관계를 보였다(상관계수: 각 0.40, 0.54). 검열반 전체 두께는 심한 융기 그룹이 평균 두께 0.66 ± 0.35 mm로 0.57 ± 0.23 mm의 편평 그룹보다 유의하게 두꺼운 양상을 보였고, 혈관화가 심한 그룹이 0.70 ± 0.19 mm로 0.52 ± 0.13 mm의 경한 그룹보다 유의하게 두꺼웠다(p=0.01).
결론: 크기가 크고 혈관화 정도가 높은 검열반이 두께도 두껍고 공막침범도도 심함을 전안부 빛간섭단층촬영을 통해 객관적으로 확인할 수 있었다. Purpose: To analyze the correlation between clinical features and degree of scleral invasion using anterior segment optical coherence tomography.
Methods: The size, elevation, color, and degree of vascularization were examined in 50 patients (17 males and 33 females) who visited our clinic between February 2017 and April 2018. The thickness and scleral involvement were analyzed by anterior segment optical coherence tomography.
Results: The average horizontal diameter of the pinguecula was 2.37 ± 1.12 mm, which showed significant positive correlations with the thickness and dimension (correlation coefficients: 0.34 and 0.42, respectively). The vertical diameter was 2.21 ± 0.91 mm, which showed significant correlations with thickness, scleral involvement, and dimension (correlation coefficients: 0.22, 0.61, and 0.33, respectively). The correlation coefficient with scleral invasion thickness was as high as 0.61. The average diameter was 2.29 ± 0.97 mm, which was also significantly correlated with thickness and dimension (correlation coefficients: 0.40 and 0.54, respectively). Overall thickness was significantly greater in the elevation group (average 0.66 ± 0.35 mm) than the flat group (0.57 ± 0.23 mm). Thickness was significantly greater in the severe vascularization group (0.70 ± 0.19 mm) than in the less severe vascularization group (0.50 ± 0.13 mm) (p = 0.01).
Conclusions: Anterior segment OCT findings revealed that the larger and more vascularized pinguecula were significantly thicker and had more scleral involvement
Probabilistic Modeling of Reaction Force/Torque through Data Transformation and Entropy Analysis
In this study, we propose a method for improving the recognition performance of a probabilistic model through entropy analysis after transforming the time-varying reaction force/torque (F/T) signals. To conduct a task, it is important for a robot to recognize the reaction forces/torques from physical interactions with objects or the environment. The reaction force/torque signals measured using an F/T sensor contain a large number of noise components owing to the sensitivity of the sensor. Therefore, the recognition performance depends on how the noise components included in the training and test datasets are dealt with. For this purpose, the reaction force/torque signals are transformed from time-domain signals to noise-reduced and/or noise-robust features through transformation techniques. Herein, we apply three different transformation techniques: fast Fourier transform, discrete wavelet transform, and moment transform. Next, taskrelevant features are selected from all these transformed features based on entropy analysis, after which the features are used to learn a hidden Markov model. To evaluate our proposed method, several robot manipulation tasks (approaching, transferring, and positioning) are conducted using an open dataset with the reaction force/torque signals.This work was supported by the Technology Innovation Industrial Program funded by the Ministry of Trade, (MI, South Korea) [10048320&10073161], Technology Innovation Program. Changes in athleisure wear trade networks - A social network approach -
As the spread of the health and wellness trend continues worldwide, many consumers are spending much time on sports activities and expressing their individuality through sportswear. This study analyzes the trade networks of major exporters and importers of athleisure wear to provide an exporting policy for Korean apparel companies. As a result, The USA was found to import the most athleisure wear. On the other hand, China had the largest number of athleisure wear exports, and India’s exports, which are becoming increasingly important as apparel producers were notable. Next, using the concept of the centrality of social network analysis, it was found that the USA was the largest importer and the center of athleisure wear’s export network, but its influence has decreased gradually since 2010. China has the highest out-degree and betweenness centrality and center in the export of athleisure wear. The centrality of Asian countries such as India and Vietnam has increased. In Korea, the import of athleisure wear has increased greatly, but the export of athleisure wear has continuously decreased. Korea has less price competitiveness than other developing countries in Asia, but many Korean athleisure wear clothing brands are now attracting popularity not only in Korea but also in other countries with their excellent technology and design. In the future, the exporting policy of Korea’s athleisure wear should focus on high value-added and differentiated products
퀘벡 정치사회적 담론과 페미니즘
퀘벡 페미니즘의 특징은 이론적 분석이나 학문적 연구보다는 자신들이 처한 정치사회적 문맥과 담론에 따라 대응하고 움직인 실천 운동이라는 것에 있다. 그렇기 때문에 시대의 요청에 따라 때로는 시몬느 보부아르Simone de Beauvoir나 크리스틴 델피Christine Delpy와 같은 프랑스 유물론 페미니즘 이론이 때로는 미국의 블랙 페미니즘, 퀴어이론, 교차성 이론 등이 여성의 정치사회적 현실을 분석하는 방법론을 제공하였다. 문화적으로는 프랑스와 가깝지만 지리적으로는 미국과 가까운 이유로 퀘벡의 페미니즘은 유럽과 아메리카, 두 지역 페미니즘 사상의 긴장, 타협, 그리고 새로운 모색이 이루어지는 과정을 겪었다. 또한 식민지 지배자이면서 동시에 피해자였던 경험으로 인하여 제3세계 탈식민주의 이론의 영향을 받기도 하였다. 그러면서 퀘벡 페미니즘은 주변의 문화적 혹은 정치적 강대국의 이론을 그대로 받아들이기보다는 자신만의 지역적 전통과 문화를 만들고자 했다.
우리의 연구는 조용한 혁명기부터 오늘날에 이르기까지 어떻게 퀘벡 페미니즘 운동이 정치사회적 변화에 따라 중요한 이슈를 만들어내고 여성과 페미니즘에 대한 새로운 패러다임을 형성하는지 페미니즘 단체의 활동을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 이를 위해서 퀘벡 정치사회에 대한 역사적 고찰과 함께 그 시기에 영향력과 동원력을 갖추었던 퀘벡 페미니즘 단체의 이념과 활동내용을 살펴보았다. 이를 통하여 퀘벡 페미니즘이 어떻게 더 이상 여성의 억압이 존재하지 않으므로 혹은 페미니즘이 애초에 약속한 것들이 제도화된 페미니즘으로부터 더 이상 나올 수 없으므로 페미니즘의 폐기를 주장하는 서구 페미니즘과 차별화를 이루면서 동시에 오늘날 퀘벡의 정치사회적 담론을 비판하고 미래를 향해 추동해가는 힘을 지니게 되었는지 연구했다. Le féminisme québécois demeure aujourd’hui, en dépit des nombreux défis auxquels il a à faire face, un acteur social important à travers quelque 1.500 groupes ou organismes locaux, régionaux et nationaux. Le mouvement des femmes québécoises jouit de cette relative bonne santé grâ̂ce à une approche pragmatique, les pratiques de terrain et l’intervention des féministes dans les divers discours sociopolitques au Québec.
Le mouvement des femmes au Québec à proprement parler a commencé avec la Révolution tranquille. Les féministes de l’époque étaient conscientes du rôle patriotique que les femmes pouvaient jouer et ont espéré ainsi aviver le nationalisme québécois. Le féminisme des années 1970 a établi un parallèle entre le Québec opprimé par l’impérialisme anglais et la femme opprimée par le patriacat. C’est pourquoi que les féministes radicales du Front de libération des femmes du Québec ont exclu les anglophones de leur groupe au profit de la cohésion nationale qu’elles ont considérée comme plus importante que la solidarité internationale des femmes.
Le féminisme de la deuxième vague au Québec sous l’influence du féminisme matérialiste français a considéré les femmes comme un groupe homogène. Ce point de vue des féministes dont la plupart étaient des blanches d’origine européenne appartenant à la bourgeoisie a marginalisé des groupes tels que les femmes non européennes, les immigrées, les autochtones, les lesbiennes, etc. Le féminisme de la troisième vague sous l’influence de la théorie Queer, de l’approche intersectionnelle et de la théorie postcoloniale élargit son champ de pratique en luttant pour le droit des minorités marginalisées de la société en raison de leur race, de leur origine ethnique, de leur classe sociale ou de leur orientation sexuelle
A Study on the Development of Digital Out of Home Effectiveness Measurement Model : Focused on Roof Type and Wall Type
2018년 옥외광고 시장은 1조342억 원으로 소폭 성장한 가운데 디지털 옥외광고는 옥외광고 자유표시구역의 화제성 및 프로그래매틱 광고 등 디지털 기술의 발전에 따라 지속적으로 성장할 것으로 전망된다. 그러나 이 같은 성장 전망에도 불구하고 효과 측정의 어려움으로 실제 광고 집행은 정체되어 있는 실정이다. 이를 해결하기 위해 옥외광고 및 디지털 옥외광고 효과 측정에 관한 많은 연구가 있지만 아직은 개념적인 측면에 치우쳐있고 영향 변수를 측정하기 위한 별도의 조사가 필요한 한계점을 가지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 광고 시인성 조사와 광고 청중의 실제 시선 주목을 측정할 수 있는 아이트래킹 연구를 결합해 광고의 가로 길이와 세로 길이, 설치 높이의 간명한 투입 변수를 통해 광고 효과를 예측해 볼 수 있는 옥상형 및 벽면형별 디지털 옥외광고 매체 효과측정 모델을 수립하였다. 연구는 총 26기의 디지털 옥외광고 매체를 대상으로 유효 피험자 286명의 데이터를 분석하여 디지털 옥외광고 매체가 설치된 가시거리 권내의 유동 인구 중 광고를 인지할 수 있는 유효 광고 청중의 비율을 구하고 유효 광고 청중을 대상으로 표출되는 여러 편의 광고 중 하나의 광고를 비보조 인지할 수 있는 확률을 구해 최종적으로 유효 도달 청중의 수(Reach)를 예측할 수 있었다. 유효 도달 청중의 파악은 매체 노출에 관해 보편적인 평가 기준인 CPM (Cost per mille)과 광고 인지(도달, Reach)를 측정할 수 있는 의미 있는 방안이 될 수 있으며 타 매체와 비교할 수 있는 효과 지표는 옥외광고 선진화 및 광고 산업 발전에 기여할 수 있는 시사점을 가진다.
In 2018, the OOH market grew slightly to KRW 1.34 trillion, while DOOH is expected to continue to grow in line with the development of digital technologies such as programmatic AD and Free Outdoor Advertising Zone. However, despite such growth prospects, actual ad execution is stagnant due to difficulties in measuring effectiveness. To solve this problem, there are many studies on measuring OOH and DOOH effects, but there are still limitations in the conceptual aspect and additional investigation is needed to measure the influence variables. Therefore, this study combines the advertising visibility survey and the eye tracking research that can measure the actual attention of the audience, and the advertising effect can be predicted through the simple input variables of the width, length, and installation height of the advertisement. DOOH effectiveness measurement model was established for each Roof type and Wall type. The study analyzed data from 286 subjects in a total of 26 DOOH subjects. And the ratio of the effective advertising audience who could recognize the advertisement in the daily circulation within the visible range where DOOH was installed was calculated. The probability of unaided awareness of one of several advertisements among the effective advertising audiences was calculated, and effective reach audience was calculated. Measuring effective reach audience can be a meaningful way to predict CPM and Reach, which are common criteria for media exposure. As such, the effect indicators comparable to other media have implications that can contribute to OOH advancement and the development of the advertising industry
Advantage of Steerable Catheter and Haptic Feedback for a 5-DOF Vascular Intervention Robot System
Vascular intervention involves inserting a catheter and guidewire into blood vessels to diagnose and treat a disease in an X-ray environment. In this conventional vascular intervention procedure, the doctor is exposed to considerable radiation. To reduce the exposure, we developed a master-slave robot system. A steerable catheter is employed to shorten the task-time and reduce the contact force applied to the vessel walls during catheter insertion. The steerable catheter helps to select a vascular branch; thus, the radiation exposure time for patients is reduced, and perforation in the patient's vessel is prevented. Additionally, the robot system employs a haptic function to replicate the physician's tactile sensing in vascular intervention. Dynamic Agile Distributed Development Method
"Agile" is an effective software engineering model with a high trust and acceptance rate among its users. The term agility comes from the concept of rapid development and working in a team for better results and a faster competition rate when compared with any other software engineering model. In this study, an assessment of the different patterns, frameworks, and application program interfaces available for distributed development in an agile model is given. After analyzing the state-of-the-art distributed models, a novel framework of a dynamic agile distributed development method (DADDM) is introduced in this paper. Many researchers have worked on global software development using the agile approach; however, we are presenting the idea of incorporating the agile benefits with dynamic distributed software development. The applicability of the proposed model is checked via two selected parameters: a feasibility study and a business study. The complete DADDM development life cycle is presented in the methodology section. The techniques used in DADDM and team members' roles and responsibilities in DADDM are defined in this study. This study reflects all pillars of planning, controlling, organizing, and management of leadership. The use of DADDM in distributed agile development encourages future researchers to use this proposed framework for comparison and testing of their models and to check the effectiveness through a comparison with DADDM
Luminescence properties of reddish orange emitting BaLa2ZnO5:Sm3+ phosphor prepared by citric based sol-gel synthesis
A series of BaLa2ZnO5:Sm3+ phosphors were synthesized with the sol-gel technique. The crystalline structure of each sample was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Phase formation was investigated using scanning electron microscope (SEM). Photoluminescence studies revealed an efficient excitation of phosphors at near blue light (~410 nm), providing emission in the bright reddish-orange region (603 nm). Concentration quenching through multipolar interaction was observed in BaLa2ZnO5 phosphor system doped with 0.015 mol of Sm3+ concentration. The Effects of Sponsor Image and Fanship on Sports Event Attitude
최근 마케팅 커뮤니케이션의 도구로서 스폰서십의 중요성이 대두되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 스폰서와 스폰시 사이의 이미지 전이와 팬십의 개념에 주목하였다. 이미지 전이와 관련된 선행연구는 스포츠 이벤트로부터 스폰서로의 이미지 전이라는 일방향적인 이미지전이에 국한되어 진행되었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 스폰서에서 스포츠 이벤트로의 이미지전이라는, 새로운 방향의 가능성에 집중하였다. 또 다른 변인인 팬십은 스포츠 이벤트, 더나아가 스포츠 산업 전반에 영향을 미치는 중요한 변인으로 다뤄지고 있으나 스포츠 이벤트 태도에 영향을 미치는 요소로서의 팬십에 대한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 팬십과 스포츠 이벤트 태도의 관계에 대해 연구하였으며 더 나아가 팬십과 스폰서 이미지가 가지는 상호작용에 주목하였다. 결론적으로, 스포츠 이벤트 스폰서의 이미지는스포츠 이벤트에 전이되는 것으로 밝혀졌으며, 이에 따라 스포츠 이벤트 태도에 영향을미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 스포츠 이벤트에 대한 개인의 팬십 또한 스포츠 이벤트 태도에 유의미한 영향을 미친다는 결과가 도출되었으나 팬십과 스폰서 이미지의 상호작용효과는 존재하지 않는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 결과는 성공적인 스포츠 이벤트를 위한요소로서 스포츠 이벤트 팬 관리의 중요성을 보여주며 스폰서십 이미지 전이의 새로운 방향성을 제시함으로써 실무적·학문적 의의를 가지고 있다.
Recently, the most highlighted area in the sponsorship is ‘sports sponsorship, which takes the biggestproportion of sponsorship spending. The world sports sponsorship spending in 2017 was 62.7 billiondollar and its growth rate is estimated to grow continuously due to the growth of the E-sports market. The precedent studies treat only one-way image transfer from the sports event to the sponsor. Therefore, this study focused on the new direction of image transfer from the sponsor to the sportsevent. Furthermore, this study tries to prove the relationship between fanship and sports event attitudedue to the lack of experimental study about fanship. As a result of this study, we can find the imagetransferring from sponsors to sports even. Besides, it is proven that the personal fanship to the sportsevent affects the sports event attitudes meaningfully, however, there is no interaction effect of thesponsors‘ image and fanship to the sports event attitude. These results have a practical implication thatemphasizes the importance of sports event fan management as an element for successful sports eventsand also has an academic implication that suggests a new direction of image transfer in the sportssponsorship
