Genetic variability of human papillomavirus genotypes 16 and 18 and its association with cervical cancer
Get PDFThis study explores the relationship between the genetic variability of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) types 16 and 18 and their impact on the aggressiveness of cervical cancer. These genotypes account for 73% of global cases, and their integration into the host genome leads to the overexpression of viral proteins E6 and E7, which interfere with the tumor suppressors p53 and Rb, promoting oncogenesis. The objective of this research was to analyze through various studies the relationship between specific genetic variants of HPV-16 and HPV-18 and the increased aggressiveness of cervical cancer. A systematic review of articles published between 2000 and 2023 was conducted, selecting 30 relevant studies. The findings suggest that variability in the E6, E7 genes, and the long control region (LCR) directly impacts oncogenesis by altering viral transcription and immune response, increasing cancer risk. These variations can serve as biomarkers for diagnosis and prognosis
Educational transformation through inclusion and innovation
No full textThis article focuses on the challenges posed by educational transformation, focusing on the inclusion gap, the need for innovation, educational quality and learning environments. The central problem lies in the persistent inclusion gap in education, which hinders equitable access and full participation of students with disabilities and marginalized groups, despite efforts to expand education systems. This gap undermines equality of opportunity and perpetuates socioeconomic inequalities. The article aims to conduct a documentary analysis of educational transformation and its relationship with the field of education, innovation and inclusive education. The methodology employed has a qualitative approach that includes an exhaustive literature review and analysis of relevant data. It is concluded that educational inclusion should be promoted as an essential component to build an equitable and just society. In addition, the need to foster a culture of innovation in education to prepare students for an ever-changing future is emphasized. It also emphasizes the importance of improving educational quality to reduce socioeconomic gaps and recognizes the crucial role of personalized and active learning environments in educational transformation. These findings point to the urgency of addressing these issues in today\u27s educational environment
The ICT course and its relationship with literality
Get PDFThe Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have been revolutionized in recent decades, bringing the change in the way as man communicates and interacts. Before it was decided to include Information Technology and Communication (ICT) in educational institutions, which are aimed to support the teaching- learning process in which it was observed that the subject is passive environment managed computer only to copy the information found therein. This study was conducted at two institutions of inclusive secondary education for 117 students at the College Paulo Freire and Pascal A.C. College, which are located in the city of Aguascalientes state capital. the quantitative approach, with a quasi-experimental design in order to determine whether the ICT course has a relationship as part of the learning process of the students was used. Under the constructivist approach and structure of literacy, and implement designed a course to the control group with four axes, namely:. ICT literacy, ethical and legal use of information and construction of learning, once the 2015 - intervention, the application of Postest students 2014 school year was held. The results generally show a favorable disposition by students in this new way of working for them, since an increase was achieved in the use of ICT favorably and this is reflected in the way as implemented in investigations and tasks of other subjects
The “One Health” approach through the Defense Preparedness discipline program
Get PDFIntroduction: The “One Health” approach contributes to meeting the demands of the future, performance of Medicine graduates and their responsibilities and concrete actions in relation to the defense and reduction of disaster risks and maintenance of health. Objective: design a strategy for the implementation of the “One Health” approach in the program of the Defense Preparation discipline, of the Medicine career, at the University of Medical Sciences of Pinar del Río. Methods: a bibliographic review was carried out on the “One Health” approach and the program of the Preparation for Defense discipline of the Medicine career, necessary for the design of the strategy. Results: the proposed strategy was conceived and designed based on the participation of the main actors: students and professors of the Medicine career, it has four specific strategic actions, operations and indicators and forms of evaluation that will allow it to achieve its objective. Conclusions: a strategy was designed for the implementation of the “One Health” approach in the Defense Preparation discipline program of the Medicine degree, which was evaluated by experts and specialists who corroborated the scientific validity of the proposal

No full textIntroductionThe optional right to vote in Ecuador for adolescents between 16 and 18 years of age, established in the 2008 Constitution of Montecristi, represented an advance in youth citizen participation. However, there was a low turnout at the polls, attributed to a lack of motivation and ignorance about the importance of voting. Despite the fact that the Citizenship Education course included topics related to democracy and voting, traditional expository methodologies failed to arouse students\u27 interest.DevelopmentThe research addressed this problem by implementing the Flipped Classroom as a methodological strategy to improve the electoral education of young people. This approach allowed dynamizing learning through digital tools and synchronous and asynchronous activities, promoting a more interactive teaching. It was detected that the lack of coordination between educational institutions and the National Electoral Council (CNE) limited the realization of electoral simulations, which reduced the familiarization of students with democratic processes. In addition, it was highlighted that socioeconomic inequalities and access to quality education significantly influenced the electoral participation of adolescents.ConclusionThe findings demonstrated that the application of the Inverted Classroom strengthened civic education, promoting a more active electoral participation. It was concluded that the adaptation of innovative pedagogical strategies was essential to prepare young people to exercise their democratic rights. Education needed to be modernized to respond to current challenges and foster a more engaged citizenship
Artistic Self-Assessment and Divergent Thinking in Ecuadorian Secondary Students
Get PDFThis study investigated the influence of cultural and artistic education on the development of critical and creative thinking among first-year high school students at Unidad Educativa Fiscal "Ocho de Enero" in Jipijapa. A significant problem was identified regarding the limited integration of artistic activities into the educational curriculum, which considerably restricted opportunities to foster divergent thinking skills in young people. To address this issue, a methodological approach was designed that included creative workshops in various artistic disciplines, such as music, dance, theater, and visual arts. These workshops aimed not only to encourage active student participation but also to create an environment that valued and stimulated creativity among students from diverse backgrounds. The main results indicated that the proposal significantly enhanced students\u27 creativity and promoted teamwork, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking, thereby contributing to their comprehensive development as participatory and committed citizens. Continuous evaluation of the workshops and feedback from participants provided valuable insights for adjusting and optimizing activities based on students’ needs and preferences. In conclusion, the effectiveness of the proposal in developing creative competencies among students was clearly demonstrated, highlighting the importance of integrating artistic education into current educational contexts. This integration enhances the personal and academic growth of young people, fostering a holistic education that benefits both students and the broader community. Ultimately, it creates a vibrant educational environment where creativity can flourish and positively impact future generations
Development Of Language Skills in High School Children in Ecuador

The study focused on assessing the performance of high school students during Language and Literature classes, specifically in storytelling and legends, identifying the issues, and proposing the use of a puppet theater as a solution strategy.The report begins with a review of the existing literature on the variables, followed by a detailed description of the methodology used in the study. It presents a study with a quantitative-qualitative approach involving a group of children from the high school level at the Carlos Cisneros Educational Unit, located in the Riobamba canton, Chimborazo province.The evaluation of the language skills of the high school students revealed concerning results, showing significant difficulties in listening comprehension, oral expression, reading, and writing, such as problems understanding verbal instructions, expressing ideas clearly, and reading and comprehending simple texts. These issues could affect their academic performance and effective communication.The report concludes by proposing the strategy "Magic through Puppet Theater," a technique that teachers could apply in their future classes, considering it a valuable pedagogical tool for early childhood education, as it promotes the development of language skills, empathy, creativity, and social interaction

Program for the development of digital competencies in teachers of the Stomatology career. Isla de la Juventud
Get PDFIntroduction: information and communication technologies are important tools for training and communication. To facilitate their work in the educational system as a requirement for change in the profile of the education professional, teachers must develop suitable digital skills to implement in their teaching-learning process.
Objective: design a program for the development of digital skills in teachers of the Stomatology career of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Isla de la Juventud, 2022.
Methods: a descriptive study was carried out, from a methodological perspective based on the qualitative paradigm. The universe was made up of 150 teachers, of which 40 made up the sample. The theoretical level research methods were used: analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive and historical-logical analysis; at the empirical level: documentary analysis, survey and specialist criteria.
Results: the need to train the teaching staff and guide the preparation of teachers in the appropriate use of computer techniques and resources, as well as in the preparation and development of virtual courses using the Moodle platform, was confirmed.
Conclusions: information and communication technologies are fundamental in the teaching-learning process. The development of digital competencies in teachers shows a low level of performance; the expressed limitations focus mainly on knowledge and domains in content creation, communication and collaboratio
