Introduction: The term value is related to the very existence of the person, since it affects their behavior, configures and models their ideas and conditions their feelings; therefore, values are the foundation of personal and social order and balance. Higher education demands comprehensive training and education in values of teachers, whose achievement is a challenge today. Objective: to identify the formation of values, their integration in the work of higher education and the health professional.Method. A bibliographic review was carried out using the descriptors: formation of values; ethical concepts; higher level education. The bibliographic compilation methods were used, as well as its analysis and synthesis.Development: Addressing the study of values in higher education implies returning to the study of ethics. University education seeks to train comprehensive professionals for society, so its preparation must include the delivery of knowledge, skills and values. The formation of values in higher education is a very complicated issue to address, for this reason it is necessary to have teachers concerned about training ethical professionals, in order to impact and break structures that harm the development of society. Conclusions: The research shows that university students should promote values a little more. The value of obtaining them overrides a good habit as excellent professionals with good ethics. Values are forged in the family, but the role of the faculty in promoting their improvement is indisputable

Introduction: The solution to health problems affecting the population constitutes the starting point for the improvement of professionals working in Primary Health Care. Objective: to determine the theoretical foundations of the model of the professional improvement process of general practitioners for the early diagnosis of oral communication disorders. Methods: the dialectic method was used as the guiding method. From the theoretical level: historical-logical, analytical-synthetic and inductive-deductive. Results: the model is based on philosophical, psychological, pedagogical, legal or juridical foundations of professional improvement in Cuba, sociological and of the sciences of Medical Education. It assumes the principles of permanent and continuous training, of Education at Work and of the relationship between forms, technologies and cognitive independence. As theoretical-methodological conditioners are the active and reflexive participation of the specialist in the process, the commitment to change in terms of professional performance. This process is conceived as a system of activities integrated to the set of actions that take place in the institution where he/she works, with the creation of collaborative learning and the incorporation of technologies. Conclusions: for the elaboration of the model it is essential to start from the theoretical foundations, principles and theoretical-methodological conditioning factors to guarantee the validity of the new object relations and the implementation of the strategy as a way of implementing the model

Introduction: Scientometrics, as a key discipline in the metric studies of information, requires specific informational skills for its effective application. This study focuses on validating the theoretical construct of informational skills for the application of scientometrics, aimed at tutors of the Health Information Systems career. Objective: to validate the theoretical construct of informational skills for the application of scientometrics. Method: A quantitative study was carried out with tutors from the Health Information Systems career where exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory (CFA) techniques were used to evaluate the factor structure of the construct. The analyses were performed with IBM SPSS Statistics 25 and IBM AMOS 25. Results: The EFA revealed a two-factor structure with acceptable factor loads (values between 0.77 and 0.98). The TFA confirmed a two-factor model with an adequate fit (comparative fit index = 0.906, goodness of fit index = 0.844). Factor 1 grouped technical-operational skills (identification, collection, and presentation of data), while Factor 2 included critical-analytical skills (search strategies, quality assessment, analysis, and evaluation). Bartlett\u27s sphericity test (p = 0.000) and the KMO index (0.709) supported the suitability of the data for factor analysis. Conclusions: The construct of informational skills for scientometrics is valid, with a two-factor structure that reflects operational and critical-analytical skills
