Nekaj malega o Madžarih, grofih in še čem
Before the region of Prekmurje was joined to the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, Sóbota had the status of a semi-rural borough counting no more than 3,000 inhabitants. Despite its smallness, Sóbota was the scene of numerous political disputes between the Slovenes and the Hungarians on one side, and the Jews and the Catholics on the other. The only family which managed to surpass all these differences and capture the sympathies of all the inhabitants of Sóbota in the period before World War I were the counts of Szápáry. The cultural development of Sóbota began at the end of the 19th century and was closely orchestrated by the local rich, while the town\u27s economic development did not commence until the period between the wars.
Celjski vohun Werner Stiger: Vodja vohunskega centra v Celju
At the beginning of the Second World War, a Nazi spy-centre operated in Celje, led by Celje\u27s tradesman Werner Stiger. The author presents his spying activities and how he fled from the Yugoslav authorities to Austria. The article reveals that Stiger received warning of his imminent arrest by Celje\u27s police officer Alojz Emeršič, who was a Gestapo operative during the war. Under German occupation, Stiger worked for the German intelligence service in various cities of Yugoslavia.V Celju je v začetku druge svetovne vojne deloval nacistični vohunski center, ki ga je vodil celjski trgovec Werner Stiger. Avtor obravnava njegovo vohunsko delovanje in beg pred jugoslovanskimi oblastmi v Avstrijo.

Pruski kralj Friderik II. veliki in njegovi vrabci: O zgodovini varstva živali
The wave of bourgeois ideas on animal protection, which originated in the German speaking lands, reached the territory of Slovenia in the 19th century. Partly owing to the support given it by the state autorities, the movement quickly took roots amongst the Slovene middle class and the teachers who upheld its morals. The first society for the protection of animals on Slovene territory was established in Gorica in 1845 and the publication "Compassion For Animals" by J. Bleiweis also reflected the general enthusiasm for this cause. The first societies for the protection of animals vigilantly ensured that the so-called "animal laws" were also put into practice. Particular attention was paid to the treament of domestic animals and especially birds deemed "useful to the economy", which moved the more sensitive members of these societies to pity, as these creatures had to jump around without the protection of coats - even in the severest of winters.V 19. stoletju je tudi na slovensko ozemlje pljusknil val meščanskih idej o varstvu živali, ki so se razvijale v nemško govorečih področjih.

In addition to all the other parties, there were also two liberally oriented political parties striving for seats in the Municipal Council at the Ljubljana municipal elections on April 26,h 1921: the Yugoslav Democratic Party (YDP) and the National Socialist Party (NSP), both of which were engaged in a tenacious struggle for the support of their voters. The YDP newspaper Jutro aimed the bulk of its attacks at the prominent NSP member Anton Pesek. Despite the recriminations delivered by the Jutro, Pesek was elected mayor with the support of almost all the political parties. However, the Belgrade Minister of the Interior refused to place Pesek\u27s candidacy for the mayorship before the King for approval, justifying his decision with the allegation that the elected Mayor Pesek was a homosexual. The latter reacted strongly against this accusation and attempted to exonerate his name at a legal trial, which, however, failed to produce a ruling in his favour. After this defeat, Pesek retreated from political and public life.
