Competenza mediale e digitale. Analisi e riflessioni su un costrutto complesso

    No full text
The search for the knowledge needed to make fruitful use of computer technologies and media languages has led to the development of the theoretical construct of "media and digital competence", which has been differently defined and applied by scholars and practitioners alike. Trying to shed some light on the various ways in which the construct has been elaborated, this article first identifies its roots within six traditions (library science, information science, psychology, economics, education, and sociology). It then focuses on two main versions of the concept – media competence and digital competence – and highlights both their similarities and differences, also referring to two significant recent models found in literature. Finally, on the basis of the previous analysis, the article identifies some theoretical core ideas that lend themselves as useful starting points for pedagogical reflection and contributions.

Distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic has been a novelty for which teachers and students were not prepared for. The research on the experience of 1364 Sicilian teachers made it possible to collect information on the organizational and didactic strategies activated, on the critical issues and on the evaluation of the didactic effectiveness of the interventions carried out. Teachers\u27 perceptions of self-regulation, planning, information management, correction and evaluation strategies were systematically analysed. The research aims at increasing the teachers’ awareness. Knowing the effects of teaching during the Covid-19 pandemic is essential to better understand not only how to implement it, but also how to build the future to face the emergencies of this particular situation.

Significati e prospettive sull’educazione civica

    No full text
Which directions should prefigure training courses offered to teachers who approach the teaching of civic education in schools of all levels, as required by Law 92/2019, follow? What are the most urgent challenges teachers face when training younger generations to live according to the perspective of global citizenship and to promote an authentic cultural change?  The results of the research-action CIVES (Citizens Towards Sustainability) which has involved through a training course about one hundred teachers among different schools in the city of Brescia, suggest some guidelines of rethinking teachers training according to a perspective of sustainability. The essay identifies in working together, in building networks with the territory and in facing the challenge of combining, according to a transdisciplinary approach, the environment, economic progress and the common good, three drivers to promote a full human development. Keywords – education, training, sustainability, teachers, global citizenship    Parole chiave – educazione, formazione, sostenibilità, insegnanti, cittadinanza global

Il tempo dell’emergenza come occasione tras-formativa personale e professionale

The Covid experience has certainly been a disruptive event in people’s lives, raising new issues but also generating unexpected outcomes. In particular for educators, who base their professionalism on relationship aspects, the social distancing has certainly represented a critical element; but at the same time it has constituted an opportunity to start trans-formation processes. Through a process of research and training, the educators of the services of the municipality of Trieste were confronted with “disorienting dilemmas” that constituted an opportunity to start a reflexive re-examination of the basic premises that characterise their professional action and the perception of well-being in the working contexts.

Among the early thirteenth-century texts preserved in the famous manuscript Douai, Bibliothèque Municipale 434, there is a well-structured enquiry on the issue of free will. This anonymous work, which apparently belongs to the genre of the disputed questions, is in fact a theological treatise articulated in five parts. This paper offers a study of the literary and doctrinal features of this anonymous text, replacing it in the historical framework of the theological and philosophical debate of the 1230s. More in detail, this enquiry explains how this tractatus de libero arbitriotestifies a turning point in the discussion about this issue, especially within the Parisian cultural milieu. A critical edition of the text is offered at the end of the article

The 18th-century novel The Dream of the Red Chamber (Honglou meng) is one of the most important narrative masterpieces of Chinese literature. Despite the numerous studies on this work − that is an encyclopedic summa of an entire culture − the role of the theatre in the novel has not been sufficiently deepened. This paper explores how the young protagonists of Honglou meng use The Story of the Western Wing, a comedy that is still fundamental to the Chinese artistic heritage today. The two teenagers in the novel secretly admire the drama characters and their courageous way of living passions. These characters have the subversive and maieutic function of providing essential words for a dialogue that allows the adolescents to emotionally overcome the conditioning of an environment characterized by a rigid and oppressive Neo-Confucian education. Some issues about the consideration suffered by sentimental dramaturgy − in an imperial context where the theatre was the centre of debates on which themes and behaviours should be censored as corrupting costumes − emerge in the background of this analysis

Sullo statuto sillabico dei nessi sC. Il caso del sardo

Initial sC clusters have been widely debated and thoroughly analysed in the pho-nological literature. This paper deals specifically with the syllabic status of sC clusters in Sar-dinian. In current Sardinian, a sharp partition is observed: Logudorese does not tolerate word-initial sC clusters and a prosthetic vowel is now generalised on such clusters. More in-terestingly, Campidanese, while accepting word-initial sC clusters, displays a phonological process of vowel prosthesis: a vowel is inserted at word-boundaries when a final coda precedes the cluster. I will focus on this process, to argue for a heterosyllabic analysis of sC clusters for Sardinian

LA CURA, LE EMOZIONI E IL SOGGETTO VULNERABILE

Identified with women and with the private sphere by Western and modern thought, the care has been the subject of a centuries-old devaluation, equal to the devaluation of the feminine and parallel to the construction of the hegemonic figure of the male and individualistic subject. Care becomes the place par excellence of the feminine, altruistic and sacrificial subject that occupies the "negative" polarity between public/private, masculine/feminine, reason/sentiment. Being again fashionable the care means  rethinking the subject, placing oneself critically both towards the (masculine) paradigm of autonomous and sovereign subject, and towards the figure of the altruistic and oblative (feminine) subject, to affirm the idea of a subject in connection with someone: aware of the their own vulnerability and the constitutive nature of the reciprocal bond with the other. This requires not only to promote a trespassing of care outside the private sphere and to question the emotions that motivate care, but also and above all to rethink it as a value and a practice capable of inaugurating a new lifestyle
