    No full text
Abstract – The article addresses the issue of miseducation, focusing on it not so much as an action different from educating, but rather as a process that misrecognizes, depowers, deforms some constitutive forms, proper to educating itself. Within this conceptual frame, the article reconstructs and discusses some of the dysmorphisms that educating assumes or risks assuming, today, with respect to those traits that constitute its ontological “proprium”: the dysmorphism of “linguistic Lourdes”, the dysmorphism of the “enchantment of disenchantment”, the dysmorphism of “art of not meeting”.Riassunto – L’articolo affronta il tema del diseducare, ponendolo a fuoco non tanto come azione altra rispetto all’educare, quanto piuttosto come processo che misconosce, depotenzia, de-forma alcune forme costitutive, proprie dell’educare stesso.

Diseducazione e misconoscimento. Per una pedagogia dell’atto riconoscitivo

    No full text
Abstract – The article reflects on miseducation, understood as a form of denied recognition, implemented by reifying relationships. The heuristic-hermeneutic interest focuses on the dyads apaideusia-misrecognition and paideia-recognition. By starting from some preliminary considerations, centered on παιδεία and the ontological need to be recognized and to recognize, we come to understand the recognition experience as an instrument of humanization and social cohesion, capable of showing the person to himself or herself and dealing with stereotypes and prejudices. In the phenomenology of everyday life, the shadow of misrecognition looms over each individual and within every educational relationship. It is likely that a possible path to follow can be identified in the implementation of paths of recognition, which animate the paideia, called to cultivate three pedagogical forms of recognition: recognition-identification-confirmation, recognition-understanding-empathy, and recognition-demonstration.

    No full text
This paper outlines the historical and legislative trajectory of informatics education within the Italian school system, accompanied by an analysis of the related pedagogical debate. It posits that the cornerstone for progress lies in the comprehensive integration of informatics as a distinct discipline, coupled with high-quality teacher training. This approach is essential for the genuine assimilation of informatics into the contemporary cultural landscape.

This essay examines the role of glass as a medium of cultural exchange between Europe and Japan from the 16th to the 19th century. Through the study of historical sources, material practices, and artistic representations, it highlights how glass, introduced through European merchants and missionaries, influenced Japanese culture in technological, scientific, and artistic domains. The analysis also shows how domestic glass production evolved into a symbol of integration between Western innovation and local craftsmanship traditions.

Depictions of Justice in ancient Rome are scarce and uncertain in characterization of the attributes, suffering competition from Nemesis and Equity particularly in monetary issues. The paper places this fact in relation to the lesser usefulness of this virtue of imperial power in the creation and management of consensus. Equity appears much more promising from the perspective of encouraging and consolidating political support.

The article examines a very important historical period in television fiction, namely the second Golden Age, during which serial storytelling underwent a profound renewal, especially in the United States. Particular attention is paid to Quality tv, a concept developed and introduced in the television field in the United States during the 1980s, precisely the period in which the so-called second Golden Age of television was born. The aim of the article is essentially to analyze the industrial context, narrative genres, and productions from which contemporary “quality tv” originated.L’articolo prende in esame un’epoca storica molto importante nell’ambito della fiction televisiva, ossia la seconda Golden Age, durante la quale la narrazione seriale viene profondamente rinnovata, soprattutto negli Stati Uniti.

MESO2025 - Session 11. Bioarchaeological approaches: Coordinated by Dušan Borić and Julien Riel Salvatore

    No full text
Over the past several decades, there have been major methodological advances in bioarchaeology, encompassing a wide range of scientific approaches to shed light on the diversity of human lives in the Mesolithic. Applied primarily to human and animal bone samples, these include biomolecular approaches and isotope analyses (notably nitrogen, carbon, sulfur, oxygen and strontium) to reconstruct diet, provenance/mobility, and/or seasonality. In addition, bone chemistry is an integral part of accelerated mass spectrometry (AMS) applied to short-lived organisms and are critical in establishing robust and precise chronologies. Likewise, the fast-growing field of past population genetics has also made remarkable progress over the past decade, as has proteomic research, including methods such as collagen finger-printing (e.g.,  Zooarchaeology by Mass Spectrometry, or ZooMS) which allow the identification of highly fragmented animal remains to the genus level. On the other hand, more traditional approaches such as morphometrics and histology have also developed substantially in analytical sophistication, contributing novel insights into Mesolithic human life histories. In this session, we invite contributors to present diverse studies within the wider field of bioarchaeology through both novel analytical approaches and state-of-the-art methodologies applied to  Mesolithic assemblages.Over the past several decades, there have been major methodological advances in bioarchaeology, encompassing a wide range of scientific approaches to shed light on the diversity of human lives in the Mesolithic. Forme della dis-educazione. Riflessioni sul rapporto tra educazione e politica

    No full text
Abstract – The article we are presenting here is an attempt to reflect on the relationship between education and politics in the light of the numerous socio-historical transformations that seem to have rendered this relationship vain and out of date. However, despite the crisis of metaphysical thinking, the critique of the dialectic and the fragility of the contemporary individual, it seems necessary to return to thinking about a whole that restores a unitary vision of the subject-in-education, one that works for its education and not for its de-education. For an idea of education that recalls the old classical paideia that looked at the human being as a whole.
