Trade between states is central to fostering of relationships. This paper examine the conceived trade relationship of the Buhari administration (2015-2023) which is in line with it Foreign Policy path between the Kingdom of Morocco and Nigeria in an attempt to make gas scarcity in Africa a thing of the past and create job opportunities to youths across the continent. The authors investigate the relevance of the project and advised government of the states involved to complete it despite all odds for the benefit of their citizens and for the growth off their state’s economy. The paper makes use of secondary methods of data collection to sort materials from books, writings, newspapers and journals. Elite theory was adopted to show how elites will carry out any policy they feel will be beneficiary to their states. The conclusion was, since the Buhari administration left office without concluding the pact; the Tinubu led administration should complete the project in earnest for the good of the nation
ICT and Quality Service Delivery in Nigeria: An Assessment of Edo Geographic Information System
The Land administration in Edo State, Nigeria, has been reeled with numerous issues that bordered on land grabbing, in-depth corrupt practices, high level of criminality, improper allocation of land, untold hardship in the acquisition of Certificate of Occupancy (C of O), extreme monetization of land development stages, etc. Several attempts were made by the state government and the traditional institutions to remedy the situation but to no avail. However, in 2017, Edo Geographical Information System was created to utilize ICT measure as a means to ameliorate the situation. This study, therefore, examined EdoGIS by assessing the impacts of ICT application on land administration in the state. Relying on the survey research design, and both the quantitative and qualitative methods of research, the study revealed that ICT application has greatly impacted land administration and access in the state with a correlation of .384 @ p < 0.01. It also revealed that the application of ICT in land administration in Edo state has ensured land security albeit with a mixed public opinion. While acknowledging the impact of ICT application on land processes, the findings revealed some challenges that border on digital divide, lack of awareness and corrupt practices by members of staff. Thus, the study recommended that the government ensure inclusivity and building trust through continuous engagement and awareness education. Also, the study recommended that corrupt officers should be strictly monitored through digitalized means

Amotekun and the Fight against Crime: The Role of Technology in Community Policing in Southwest Nigeria
This paper looks at two promising strategies to improve public safety in Nigeria: giving state governments more control over gun regulation and using modern technology to strengthen community policing. It focuses on the Amotekun Corps a regional security outfit in the Southwest as a practical example of how these ideas can work on the ground. The core argument is that when states are allowed to manage firearm policies under federal guidance, they can respond more effectively to local security issues like armed robbery and kidnapping. Amotekun’s efforts show how technology such as data analytics, mobile communication tools, and surveillance systems can boost crime prevention and make operations more efficient. The paper proposes a hybrid model that blends innovation with localized governance. This approach could help build safer communities, increase public trust in law enforcement, and ensure greater accountability. Of course, there are risks like potential misuse of firearms or weak oversight but the study stresses the importance of strong regulations to keep things in check. In the end, it advocates for a security system that’s flexible, tech-savvy, and tailored to the unique needs of each region one that can adapt to Nigeria’s evolving safety challenges and offers a more stable future
Civil Servants and Bureaucratic Culture in Kwara State: A Historical and Institutional Analysis
The civil service plays a vital role in the governance structure of modern states, acting as the administrative machinery through which government policies are formulated, implemented, and sustained. This article probes the historical and institutional culture of the Kwara State Civil Service. This paper uses secondary sources such as scholarly works and government records, the study traces the civil service's evolution, revealing how colonial administrative legacies marked by centralisation, hierarchy, and procedural rigidity continue to shape its operations. Since Kwara State’s creation in 1967, its bureaucracy has largely retained the structures and values of the British colonial system, resulting in persistent challenges like inefficiency, weak accountability, and limited responsiveness. Despite several reform efforts, these issues remain deeply rooted. The article recommends key reforms to transform the civil service into a more effective institution. These include enhancing bureaucratic training, adopting merit-based recruitment and promotion, and promoting decentralisation. By resolving these structural and cultural weaknesses, the study argues that the Kwara State Civil Service can become a more dynamic and accountable driver of sustainable development
LITERATURE REVIEW ON THE IMPACT OF INNOVATIVENESS ON SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
The paper aims to address the vital issues of supply chain management, examining the managerial strategies that can enable businesses to withstand disruptive events and rebound from challenges with agility and minimal impact. Within these discussions, innovative strategies capable of elevating logistics and supply chain managerial efficiency, advancing green initiatives, and ensuring that these complex networks can manifest ever everlasting solution to supply chain issues. The study aims to describe the impact of innovativeness on supply chain management: A Literature Review. Methodologically, A literature review is conducted to identify and analyze publications in peer-reviewed academic journals that include contributions from different strands of management research. This paper analyzes the theoretical contributions of the supply chain literature using Gregor’s (2006) framework of theory classification. It also evaluates the levels of analysis of the literature using the structural view model proposed by Skinner et al. (2006). Findings show that this research identified and analyzed various topics related to the supply chain innovation construct and showed that supply chain innovations can be studied at multiple analytical levels. The identification and analysis of relevant articles highlighted the need to conceptualize the supply chain innovation construct and develop measurement scales to operationalize it. In conclusion, the result can be applied to the decision-making process of managers regarding supply chain innovations
IMPACT OF AUDIT QUALITY ON FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE OF LISTED CONSUMER GOODS COMPANIES IN NIGERIA
This study investigated the relationship between audit quality and financial performance of listed consumer goods companies in Nigeria by examining the effects of audit firm size, audit committee size, and auditor tenure on financial performance. An ex-post facto research design was used, relying on secondary data obtained from the annual reports of nine consumer goods firms listed on the Nigerian Exchange Group from 2015 to 2024. Panel regression analysis was conducted to evaluate the relationships between audit quality factors and financial performance, measured as net profit margin. The findings showed that audit firm size and auditor tenure have a significant positive and negative effect, respectively, on firms’ profitability, while audit committee size showed a negative but insignificant effect on firms profitability. This study recommends that consumer goods companies employ the services of reputable audit firms, such as the Big 4, to enhance audit quality and financial reporting reliability
Comparative Effect of Wet and Dry Heat Methods on Afiziella africana Seed Emergence and Germination of different Temperature and Durations
This study investigated the effects of wet and dry heat treatments on the germination and early growth of Afiziella africana, a tropical African plant species with hard seeds. The experiment tested five temperature levels (10°C, 20°C, 30°C, 40°C, and 50°C) and three exposure durations (10, 20, and 30 minutes) to assess seed emergence and seedling development after five days of planting. Results showed that temperature and heat treatment methods significantly (P< 0.05) influenced germination. The highest seed emergence (13 seeds) occurred at 20°C with a 10-minute treatment, while the lowest (7 seeds) was recorded at 40°C for 30 minutes. At 10°C and 50°C, emergence remained consistent across all time intervals. Wet heat treatment reduced seedling height over time (from 20.45 ± 3.56 cm to 14.78 ± 3.17 cm) but enhanced leaf development at lower temperatures—producing a higher mean leaf count (16.00 ± 2.74) compared to dry heat (12.20 ± 2.17) at 10°C. Additionally, wet treatment at 10°C resulted in greater seedling width (1.40 ± 0.07 cm) than dry heat (1.20 ± 0.17 cm). The findings highlight that both wet and dry heat, along with temperature variations, critically affect Afiziella africana germination and early growth. Optimal conditions (moderate temperatures and shorter heat exposure) improved emergence, while extreme temperatures or prolonged heat reduced success. These insights are valuable for improving seed pretreatment methods in agriculture and ecological restoration, particularly for hard-seeded tropical species. Further research could explore long-term growth responses to refine cultivation practices.
