Through a systematic literature review and bibliometric analysis of 907 publications from 1970 to May 2023, the study addresses eight research questions, covering descriptive characteristics, publication trends, influential sources and articles, relevant countries, and institutions, as well as scientific productivity and emerging research areas in the field of University-Industry Linkages (UIL). Utilizing the Scopus database and Biblioshiny software, quantitative and qualitative analyses were conducted, including Bradford's Law of Scattering, Lotka's Law of Scientific Productivity, keyword analysis, and thematic map analysis. The findings offer a comprehensive scientific mapping of UIL literature, highlighting research gaps and potential avenues for future studies in this domain

An Exploration of The Influence of Self-Motivational Beliefs on the Self-Regulated Learning of Teachers, in Maldivian Schools

The study employed the Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) theory to investigate the influence of self-motivational beliefs of teachers on their self-regulated learning. The determining factors of self-motivational beliefs highlighted by Zimmerman (2000); Self-Efficacy (SE), Outcome Expectation (OP), Intrinsic Interest (II), and Goal Orientation (GO), were investigated for their influence on SRL, through a semi-structured questionnaire retorted by 370 Maldivian teachers. The result portrayed indispensable roles of self-motivational beliefs of teachers in steering their self-regulated learning, through Self-Efficacy (SE), Outcome Expectation (OP), Intrinsic Interest (II), and Goal Orientation (GO). The study would be a rich contribution in the domain of self-regulated learning and promote the critical role of teacher leadership in mounting their professional development. The study would also add novelty to the education system in Maldives by exploring an undervalued aspect in school systems; the teacher leadership. The exploration of determinant factors of self-motivational beliefs would be insightful to enhance the professional development of teachers through self-regulated learning

This study aims to assess the correlation between screen time exposure and mental health during the Covid-19 pandemic  lockdown among private university students in Shah Alam. Using a convenient sampling method, a cross-sectional study was conducted among 480 students in a private university in Shah Alam using a self-administered online questionnaire. The data were analysed using SPSS software. Analysis was collected from 480 respondents (female 282 and males 198); showing 443 respondents (92.2%) spend more than two hours on screen despite the international guidelines recommending young people limit their recreational screen time to less than 2 hours per day (Babic M J. et al. 2016) and 246 respondents (51.2% ) spend more than 9 hours on screen. Among 480 respondents, 62.6 %, 69.4%, and 46.5% experienced mild to extremely severe depression, anxiety, and stress. This research found that there is no association between screen time with depression and stress. However, there is a significant association between screen time and anxiety, p-value < 0.05. Post hoc analyses on anxiety revealed there is no significant difference between the duration of screen exposure. This study has revealed the association between screen exposure and anxiety. However, the difference within the duration of the association is not significant. Therefore, the current generation needs to be aware of their risk toward anxiety irrespective of screen time exposure.

Using Data - The more efficient way in managing the COVID-19 pandemic

During the COVID-19 period, many countries were battling the virus and playing catch-up. It was to no fault that humans remained one step behind as there was a lot to learn about the virus. However, having been with the virus for 3 years, it is time that governments and ministries opt for the usage of big data and data surveillance in monitoring any pandemic. This article shows the timelines of events, control movement, reporting of new variants and prediction on entry of the variants superimposed on the 7-day average cases in Malaysia. From the monitoring done retrospectively, it was found that entries of newer variants might have penetrated the country 2 to 8 months before being isolated locally (due to variant isolation and testing policies). Thus, it might be easier for government and ministries to have a surveillance system based on data (variant detection/isolation from regional or other countries) to monitor the pandemic. This will also be useful if government responses on the type of mitigation to be implemented to stop the spread of the virus. Keywords
