The purpose of this paper is to present the concept of negative dialectic as a self-reflection about dialectics that aims to bring back Marx’s question about praxis in contexts where the radical transformation of the world does not seem possible. But if a negative dialectic, such as Theodor Adorno's, keeps the emancipatory promises of the Western tradition of the center of capitalism, something different occurs in a negative dialectic, such as Paulo Arantes, which starts from a peripheral country's point of view in the global capitalist system. From this point of view, the New is no longer immanent to the system, but can only come from outside.

This study starts from the observation of the extreme ambiguity of Vico’s reception of Descartes. In order to handle it, we propose to take up the unique way in which Descartes’s thought and his main texts were received in Naples in the second half of the seventeenth century, as well as the quarrels engendered by this diffusion. Bringing these conditions to light gives a peculiar perspective to this reception, which is also a way of giving rise to very original aspects of Descartes’s thinking, made possible especially when Cartesianism is translated into an original context. One of the main aspects of this reception is to discern the conditions of possibility of a fruitful relationship between Descartes’s thought, the spread of the Galilean school within the Neapolitan Academies (especially “l’Accademia degli Investiganti”), as well as the articulation with the materialistic tradition, with a strong presence in the southern Italian world, especially through the thought of Lucretius, but also through the very important presence of Gassendi in Naples
A sexta parte do Discurso e a constituição da noção de autoria em Descartes: The sixth part of the Discourse and the constitution of the notion of authorship in Descartes
Taking part in a long tradition of Western philosophy, Descartes voiced for several times his suspicion regarding language’s accuracy in faithfully expressing thoughts. This precautious attitude, though, is not to be explained by an alleged discrepancy between language and the thoughts it expresses, but rather by its remarkable success in the accomplishment of this goal. The aim of this paper is to examine how Descartes registers in written form his relationship with the written words. This survey will be the means to indicate some elements present in the selfconstitution of the image of authorship in his work.
