Lean Manufacturing: effective tools to optimize dairy beverage production. Evidence based on a statistical analysis.
Lean Manufacturing is a set of tools with a production management approach that aims to maximize customer value by reducing waste and optimizing processes; in industries, it helps improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase quality by eliminating non-value-added activities, thus promoting a culture of continuous improvement and flexibility in production. The objective of this research is aimed at the application of these tools to optimize the production line of dairy beverages. The research approach is quantitative, for which the inductive-deductive and analytical methods were applied. The current situation of the production process was analyzed to identify existing problems such as inefficient use of production time, lack of process standardization, absence of a production control plan, and untrained personnel. To mitigate these issues, optimal Lean tools such as VSM (Value Stream Mapping), 5S, Layout, and Kanban were applied, which allowed for a 5.34% increase in productivity by eliminating activities that do not add value to the production process, with an improvement in the Value-Added Index (VAI) from 86.48% to 92.75%. Additionally, efficiency and effectiveness increased by 3% and 2%, respectively. The implementation of Kanban cards as management tools significantly influences the reduction of shift changeover time, decreasing the time variability from 19% to 11%, and the average value from 42.62 minutes to 12.43 minutes.

Current Approaches for Reducing Treatment Toxicities in Radiotherapy Side Effects Management
Radiotherapy is an important part of treating many types of cancer because it targets and kills cancerous cells. But even though it works well as a treatment, it often has bad side effects because it exposes good cells around the tumor to radiation without meaning to. These side effects can be very harmful during treatment, lowering the quality of life for the patient and maybe even making it harder to give the tumor the right amount of radiation. Recent improvements in radiation treatments and ways to deal with side effects have focused on reducing these harmful effects while keeping the treatment effective. One important way to lower the side effects of radiotherapy is to improve the way the treatment is given. Different methods, like intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), and proton therapy, make it possible to give radiation more precisely, protecting good cells around the tumor from too much exposure. These methods use high-tech imaging methods and complex computer programs to precisely target tumors and lower the risk of side effects. Using tailored radiation, which takes into account changes in the body and anatomy during treatment, makes treatment even more accurate. Along with improvements in technology, a multidisciplinary approach to managing toxins has become more important. Combining drug treatments, like radioprotectors and tailored therapies, has been looked into as a way to lessen the damage that radiation does to healthy cells. The goal of these chemicals is to protect healthy cells from radiation damage while not affecting the treatment of cancer cells. Biomarker-based methods are also making it easier to predict and customize treatment plans
Systematic review of literature on crafts and handcrafted products with natural fibers: an ecological perspective
This study conducted a systematic literature review to identify research published between 2018 and 2024 on handicrafts and products made from natural fibers currently worldwide. The Scopus database was used where 50 articles were selected. As a main conclusion, it was identified that among the handicrafts made with natural fibers, the bamboo industry in India stood out with ecological handicraft products, also handicrafts in wood, paper and sesame wood, the embroideries in goshawk straw are the maximum representatives of a European handicraft in the XIX century
Quality of life of nurses working in the shift system: a scoping review
Introduction: The emergence of the concept of quality of life dates back to the 1930s in Europe. Shift work is a widely used system in health services in order to provide continuous care to users, with nursing being the most abundant workforce. Quality of life is a widely researched topic, however, there is insufficient evidence regarding the quality of life of nurses working in a shift system. Methods: scoping review based on the PRISMA-ScR model, by means of a literature search in the databases Medline, Embase, Web of Science (WoS), Cochrane Library, PubMed, and MedicLatina, selecting articles by consensus, with prior critical reading masked by two researchers. Results: Four areas emerged: psychological, physical, occupational and social. It is evident that shift work is negatively associated with the development of these areas, causing problems in each of them. Conclusions: The literature on this subject is scarce, and in Chile there is no evidence on the subject, which opens up new niches for research into the well-being of nursing professionals in all spheres

Dermatologic Manifestations Induced By Immune Responses After Covid-19 Vaccination
Immunologic reactions induced by COVID-19 vaccines can manifest in the skin, triggering adverse effects of varying intensity. Although most of these reactions are self-limited and not significant, their identification is complex due to the variability of stimuli affecting the skin. In many cases, these manifestations appear after the second or third dose and tend to resolve without intervention. Patients with a history of allergy are more prone to adverse reactions with the BNT162b2 vaccine, although they can be vaccinated under medical supervision. A total of 133 skin reactions were reported following administration of CoronaVac, including urticaria, angioedema, pityriasis rosea, herpes zoster and maculopapular rashes, while BioNTech has been associated with cases of anaphylaxis and activation of autoimmune diseases. This observational, descriptive and retrospective study is based on a systematic review and meta-analysis of reliable scientific sources, with the purpose of examining the relationship between immune responses and dermatological diseases following vaccination against SARS-CoV-2
