No full textIt is now more than thirty years since the death of the Primate of Poland, Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński, known also as the Primate of the Millennium, on May 28, 1981. His pastoral ministry and widespread activity for the good of the Nation took place at a time of great social and political changes in Poland, Europe and eventually the whole world. Cardinal Wyszyński led the Nation through years of restrictions enforced by the dictatorship of an imposed Communist rule. He was the heir of his predecessor Cardinal August Hlond and there was yet another great personality to emerge by his side - the pastor of Krakow, Cardinal Karol Wojtyła, the now Blessed John Paul II. After being elected pope he gave the highest testimony to Cardinal Wyszyński by saying, „[...] there would not be on St. Peter\u27s See this Pope from Poland, who today full of God\u27s fear, but also full of confidence begins a new pontificate, if it were not for your faith that did not step back in fear of imprisonment and suffering, if it were not for your heroic hope, your complete trust in the Mother of God, if it were not for Jasna Góra and the whole period in the history of the Church in our Motherland connected with your ministry as bishop and primate."Mija ponad trzydzieści lat od śmierci prymasa Polski, kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego, znanego również jako Prymas Tysiąclecia. No full textFamily is not only a basic and original cell of a society, but also a group sustaining its biological continuity. There is no society without a family as well as a family without society. These two entities complement each other internally and they create an organism aimed at proper functioning of the family within a society. In this context family is a union of life and love, which satisfies basic human needs. Unfortunately lately the family has been experiencing numerous difficulties connected with its functioning. To sustain itself at a certain economic level its members are forced to emigrate, due to lack of work in their own country. Migration brings both wanted and unwanted results, but there are many more of the latter. That is why today\u27s family needs help - support from other institutions: the state, the school and the Church. This duty is especially to be held by the state, whose task is to support the family e.g. by creating new workplaces. We need to remember that man „is not (...) only a product of economic conditions but as a living creature needs a dignified life and self-realization in their own country".Rodzina to nie tylko podstawowa komórką społeczeństwa, ale także grupa podtrzymując ciągłość biologiczną. Nie ma społeczeństwa bez rodziny, a także rodziny bez społeczeństwa. Te dwie jednostki uzupełniają się wzajemnie wewnątrz i tworzą organizm mający na celu właściwego funkcjonowania rodziny w społeczeństwie. Rodzina jest związkiem życia i miłości, która spełnia podstawowe potrzeby człowieka. Niestety ostatnio rodzina przeżywa wiele trudności związanych z jej funkcjonowaniem. Aby utrzymać się na pewnym poziomie gospodarczym jej członkowie są zmuszeni do emigracji z powodu braku pracy we własnym kraju. Migracja przynosi zarówno chciane i niechciane rezultaty, ale jest o wiele więcej skutków negatywnych. Dlatego dzisiejsza rodzina potrzebuje pomocy - wsparcia ze strony innych instytucji: państwa, szkoły i Kościoła. Obowiązek ten powinien być szczególnie wypełniany przez państwo, którego zadaniem jest wspieranie rodziny np poprzez tworzenie nowych miejsc pracy. Musimy pamiętać, że człowiek "nie jest (...) tylko produktem warunków ekonomicznych, ale jako żywa istota potrzebuje godnego życia i samorealizacji we własnym kraju"

No full textThis article aims at discussing ethical issues which should underlie a good relationship between a physician and a patient. Reflections are based on the theses described in the The Charter for Health Care Workers developed on the initiative of the Pontifical Council for the Pastoral Care of Health Care Workers and approved by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. The paper attempts to present the physician\u27s attitudes towards the pressing problems of prenatal period of human life as well as adulthood and the elderly. Ethical issues, such as the inviolable right to life and utmost respect for human life, seem to be valid and justifiable in times of commercialization and fast development of medical services, and thus need further thorough analysis.Artykuł ma na celu omówienie zagadnień etycznych, które powinny stać się podstawą dobrych relacji między lekarzem a pacjentem . Rozważania oparte są na pracach opisanych w Europejskiej Karcie Pracowników Służby Zdrowia opracowanej z inicjatywy Papieskiej Rady Duszpasterstwa Pracowników Służby Zdrowia i zatwierdzonej przez Kongregację Nauki Wiary. W artykule podjęto próbę przedstawienia postawy lekarza wobec palących problemów prenatalnym okresie życia ludzkiego, a także problemy dorosłych i osób starszych . Kwestie etyczne, takie jak nienaruszalne prawo do życia i szacunek dla ludzkiego życia, wydają się być ważne i uzasadnione w czasach komercjalizacji i szybkiego rozwoju usług medycznych, które tym samym potrzebują dalszej dogłębnej analizy

No full textJohn Paul II in Familiaris consortio p. 17, when speaking about the tasks of the Christian family, indicates the need to reach out to „the beginning" of the creative act of God. Today it appears that what the family needs above all is re-evangelization. This is to be understood as rediscovering God\u27s original plan for marriage and the family and returning „to the beginning" with faith as a way of life. It is about bringing humans to a personal relationship with God Personality. Today the family is affected by many illnesses. So what can be done to „heal" it? What is the cure? Programs alone are insufficient, similarly as mere pastoral and catechetical instruction, which become like building a house without foundations. Today we have the problem of people practicing religion, but in fact being unbelievers. In addition to the methods developed over the centuries, there is an urgent need for the ministry of exorcists, spiritual liberation from slavery, which affects more and more people, and spiritual discernment on a larger scale. Many of the problems are the causes of spiritual diseases. What is needed is information and formation of priests and lay people, raising awareness about current threats and ways of protecting oneself against them.Jan Paweł II w „Familiaris consortio” w punkcie 17, mówiąc o zadaniach rodziny chrześcijańskiej, wskazuje na konieczność dotarcia do "początku" aktu twórczego Boga. No full textThe article describes the teaching of the Primate of the Millennium on Marian piety in the context of her role in a person\u27s way to communion with God and men. The study is divided into three parts. The first part deals with the teaching of the Primate of the Millennium on the justification of Marian piety, the second part concerns the role of Marian piety in a person\u27s way to communion with God, and the third part discusses the statements of Cardinal Wyszyński on the meaning of Marian piety in the realization of the commandment to love one\u27s neighbor. The topic is presented through the analysis of over 3000 statements of the Servant of God which he addressed to the members of the lay Institute of the Helpers of Mary of Jasna Góra Mother of the Church. The study leads among others to the assertion that uniting one\u27s life with Mary is conducive to personal sanctification and active love of neighbor and in this way contributes to the building of communion between people.W artykule opisano nauczania Prymasa Tysiąclecia dotyczące pobożności maryjnej w kontekście roli Maryji w drodze człowieka do komunii z Bogiem i ludźmi. Artykół jest podzielony na trzy części. Pierwsza część dotyczy nauczaniu Prymasa Tysiąclecia w uzasadnieniu pobożności maryjnej, druga dotyczy roli pobożności maryjnej w drodze człowieka do komunii z Bogiem, a trzecia omawia wypowiedzi kardynała Wyszyńskiego na rozumieniu pobożności maryjnej w realizacji przykazania miłości bliźniego. Temat jest przedstawiony poprzez analizę ponad 3000 wypowiedzi Sługi Bożego, które skierował do członków świeckich Instytutu Pomocników Maryi Jasnogórskiej Matki Kościoła. No full textThis article provides an introduction to the origin and development of the theology of indulgences in the Church against the background of the period of decline of the practice of public penance in ancient times and the beginning of a new penitential system in the Middle Ages which in substance is valid until now. The author discusses the theological dilemmas that arise as a consequence of transferring the obligation to do the set penances from the period before granting reconciliation (reconciliation with the Church), which was the ancient practice, to a time after the reconciliation, nowadays more often called absolution, as in the case of the penitential practice obligatory from the Middle Ages onward. Then, the basic penance structure was consolidated in order to grant absolution from sins and eternal punishment by a priest under the Church jurisdiction according to the sacramental mode. Absolution from temporal penalty for sin could also be obtained according to the jurisdiction by indulgences, thus not according to the sacramental mode.Artykuł stanowi wprowadzenie do powstania i rozwoju teologii odpustów w Kościele na tle okresu spadku praktyki publicznej pokuty w starożytności i początkach nowego systemu pokutnego w średniowieczu. No full textThe aim of the Teams of Our Lady is to help couples in a comprehensive experience of the sacrament of marriage. The concept of marriage which can be found in the writings of the founder - Father Caffarel - and in the documents of the Movement, focuses on three basic issues: love, sacrament of marriage and sanctity. Conjugal love is the basis of marriage itself, it comes from God and leads to God. The human couple as the last creature of God is the culmination of creation. They are also a full image of God, since „God is Love", and love is an interpersonal relation. Not only is sacramental marriage the image of Christ\u27s love to the Church, but it also gives the married couple a share in this love. The unbreakable unity of the couple stems from the sacrament of marriage. It reflects an inseparable relationship of Christ with His Church. The grace of the sacrament of marriage is not limited to the transaction of marriage, but in a dynamic way fills the couple\u27s whole life. Every Christian regardless of their status is called to sanctity. In the Movement of Teams of Our Lady the possibility of sanctification through marriage is strongly highlighted as well as the path of the spouses to holiness.Celem "Equipe Notre-Dame" jest pomoc parom w obszernym doświadczeniu sakramentu małżeństwa. Pojęcie małżeństwa, które można znaleźć w pismach założyciela - Caffarela - oraz w dokumentach Ruchu, skupiają się na trzech podstawowych zagadnieniach: miłości, sakramencie małżeństwa i świętości. Miłość małżeńska jest podstawą samego małżeństwa, pochodzi od Boga i prowadzi do Boga. Para ludzka jako ostatnie istoty stworzone przez Boga jest zwieńczeniem stworzenia. Są one również pełnym obrazem Boga, gdyż "Bóg jest miłością", a miłość jest relacją interpersonalną. Nie tylko sakramentalne małżeństwo jest obrazem miłości Chrystusa do Kościoła, ale również daje udział w tej miłości. Nierozerwalna jedność małżonków wypływa z sakramentu małżeństwa. Odzwierciedla on nieodłączny związek Chrystusa z Jego Kościołem. Łaska sakramentu małżeństwa nie ogranicza się do transakcji małżeństwa, ale w sposób dynamiczny wypełnia całe życie małżonków. Każdy chrześcijanin, niezależnie od ich statusu, jest powołany do świętości.
