„DAMMI DA BERE”. La spiritualità brigidina di fronte alle sfide attuali della vita consacrata
Get PDFThe aim of this article is to present the Brigidian spirituality in the face of the current challenges of consecrated life. Therefore, an analysis of the texts of the founder of the Order of the Most Holy Savior, the patron of Europe, St. Bridget of Sweden, and the renewal of the Order in the 20th century, St. Elizabeth Hesselblad. As a starting point for the analysis, a passage from the Gospel of Saint John was chosen, which tells of the encounter between Jesus and the Samaritan woman. In this Gospel episode we find an incentive to rediscover the meaning of consecrated life. A careful analysis of the texts of St. Bridget of Sweden and St. Elizabeth Hesselblad shows their relevance in the context of the Church’s contemporary teaching on consecrated life. After so many centuries, the spiritual path traced by the foundresses speaks to modernity. They are true teachers of Christian life and prophetesses of the new times. Their thoughts, firmly rooted in the Word of God, enable us to find answers to the dilemmas and contemporary challenges of consecrated life. Brigidian spirituality is multifaceted and complex, all to be rediscovered in its actuality.Lo scopo di questo articolo è quello di presentare la spiritualità brigidina di fronte alle sfi de attuali della vita consacrata. Pertanto, un’analisi dei testi della fondatrice dell’Ordine del Santissimo Salvatore, patrona d’Europa, S. Brigida di Svezia, e la rinnovatrice dell’Ordine nel XX secolo, S. Elisabetta Hesselblad. Come punto di partenza per l’analisi è stato scelto un brano del Vangelo di san Giovanni, che racconta l’incontro tra Gesù e la Samaritana. In questo episodio evangelico troviamo uno stimolo a riscoprire il senso della vita consacrata. Un’attenta analisi dei testi di S. Brigida di Svezia e di S. Elisabetta Hesselblad mostra la loro pertinenza nel contesto dell’insegnamento contemporaneo della Chiesa sulla vita consacrata. Dopo tanti secoli, il cammino spirituale tracciato dalle fondatrici parla alla modernità. Sono vere maestre di vita cristiana e profetesse dei tempi nuovi. I loro pensieri, saldamente radicati nella Parola di Dio, ci permettono di trovare risposte ai dilemmi e alle sfide contemporanee della vita consacrata. La spiritualità delle Brigidine è sfaccettata e complessa, tutto da riscoprire nella sua attualità

Get PDFFor Luther, work was a vocation, while Calvin emphasised the need to glorify God through work. Since the proposal of Weber and Troeltsch, the theology of work and the origin of capitalism has been discussed and studied in different Protestant denominations such as Lutherans, Calvinists, Puritans and Methodists. In this selection of some recent Protestant theologians, we appreciate continuity and evolution in the theology of work that lead us to the Pentecostal inheritance in our days. Some perspectives go back to the contemptus mundi that Luther refused, but the discovering of the action of the Holy Spirit in the daily work needs a Pentecostal theology of the work.Dla Lutra praca była powołaniem, Kalwin zaś przez pracę podkreślał potrzebę uwielbienia Boga. Od czasu propozycji Webera i Troeltscha teologię pracy i pochodzenie kapitalizmu omawiano i badano w różnych denominacjach protestanckich, takich jak luteranie, kalwiniści, purytanie i metodyści. U niniejszych wybranych kilku ostatnich teologów protestanckich doceniamy ciągłość i ewolucję w teologii pracy, które prowadzą nas do dziedzictwa zielonoświątkowego w naszych czasach. Niektóre perspektywy powracają do koncepcji contemptus mundi, którą odrzucił Luter, jednak odkrycie działania Ducha Świętego w codziennej pracy wymaga zielonoświątkowej teologii pracy

Get PDFThe article is a result of the analysis of the Catholic media and a specific report on the research conducted in 2019-2022, based on the corpus of evangelizing programs. They include the pilot research from 2019 and targeted research, prepared as a part of the monitoring analysis of four radio stations (Radio Maryja, RDN Małopolska, Radio JasnaGóra, Radio Profeto) in the period from March 2020 to March 2022. The time limit was determined by an important event in the history of the Catholic media, which was the dispensation of the faithful in the face of the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic and the reaction of the media on this situation. This date was the beginning of the fundamental research in the dissertation project Evangelizing function of the Catholic radio stations in Poland. Analytical and research study of formatting and reception of radio broadcasts. This article presents conclusions from part of the research and presents a set of recommendations for the journalistic and media sphere of praxis. In the field of methodology of the discipline of social communication and media sciences, content and content analysis was applied in the research. The result of the research process are conclusions including recommendations for journalists educating staff and practitioners related to the radio medium.Celem artykułu jest ukazanie specyfiki mediów katolickich. Oparto się na badaniach prowadzonych w latach 2019-2022 w Akademickim Centrum Medialnym Uniwersytetu Papieskiego Jana Pawła II w Krakowie na podstawie korpusu, jaki stanowiły programy o tematyce ewangelizacyjnej. Składają się na nie roczne badania pilotażowe z 2019 roku oraz docelowe, przygotowane w ramach analizy monitoringu czterech stacji radiowych (Radio Maryja, RDN Małopolska, Radio Jasna Góra, Radio Profeto) w okresie od marca 2020 do marca 2022 roku. Cezura czasowa została wyznaczona poprzez ważne wydarzenie w historii mediów katolickich, jakim było udzielenie dyspensy wiernym w obliczu zagrożenia epidemią COVID-19 i reakcja mediów na zaistniałą sytuację. Data ta była początkiem zasadniczych badań w projekcie dysertacji Funkcja ewangelizacyjna rozgłośni katolickich w Polsce. Studium analityczno-badawcze formatowania i recepcji przekazów radiowych. Niniejszy artykuł prezentuje wnioski z części badań oraz stanowi zbiór rekomendacji dla dziennikarskiej i medialnej sfery praxis. W zakresie metodologii dyscypliny nauk o komunikacji społecznej i mediach, w badaniach zastosowana została analiza treści i zawartości. Efektem procesu badawczego są wnioski obejmujące rekomendacje dla kształcących kadrę dziennikarską oraz praktyków związanych z medium radiowym
Selected aspects of perceiving and experiencing birth - study of men participating in hospital childbirth and men with an experience of home childbirth
Get PDFParticipating in childbirth of his own child can be a plane for redefi ning man’s own identity and self-esteem. The study aimed to verify whether there is a relationship between the place of childbirth and selected aspects of man’s perceiving and experiencing participation in childbirth of his own child and to assess the relationship between man’s perception of childbirth as an essential life experience and an experience affecting selfesteem. The study included 147 men aged 18 to 57 years (M = 34,56; SD = 8,29) who had experience of participating in the delivery of their child. The conducted research was preliminary. The research was carried out using the diagnostics survey method and nonprobabilistic sampling. The data were collected anonymously via the survey questionnaire. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics methods, with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Mann-Whitney U tests and the analysis of Spearman’s ρ rank correlation, with the IBM SPSS Statistics 23 package. The threshold of α = 0.05 was considered as the signifi cance level. Main results: (a) According to the respondents, man’s participation in birth of his own child is an important factor infl uencing self-esteem; (b) the stronger perception of childbirth as an important event in life, the more this experience affects selfesteem according to the respondents. The research shows the importance of the father participation in the childbirth for the self-esteem level of the man. The preliminary study indicates also the need for in-depth research on the participation of the father at childbirth and on the multifaceted importance of this presence.Uczestniczenie w porodzie swojego dziecka może być dla mężczyzny płaszczyzną redefiniowania własnej tożsamości oraz kształtowania poczucia własnej wartości i samooceny. Celem badania była ocena czy istnieje zależność między miejscem porodu a wybranymi aspektami postrzegania i przeżywania przez mężczyzn uczestnictwa w porodzie swojego dziecka oraz ocena zależności między postrzeganiem przez mężczyzn porodu jako istotnego doświadczenia życiowego i doświadczenia wpływającego na samoocenę. W badaniu wzięło udział 147 mężczyzn w wieku od 18 do 57 lat (M = 34,56; SD = 8,29), którzy mieli doświadczenie uczestniczenia w porodzie swojego dziecka. Przeprowadzone badania miały charakter wstępny. Badania przeprowadzono metodą sondażu diagnostycznego; dobór próby nieprobabilistyczny. Badanie było anonimowe. Zastosowano autorski kwestionariusz. Zgromadzone dane przeanalizowano metodami statystyki opisowej z wykorzystaniem testów: Kołmogorowa-Smirnowa, U Manna-Whitney’a oraz analizy korelacji rangowej ρ Spearmana przy użyciu pakietu IBM SPSS Statistics 23. Za poziom istotności uznano próg α = 0,05. Główne wyniki (a) Towarzyszenie przy porodzie swojego dziecka jest istotnym czynnikiem wpływającym w opinii respondentów na samoocenę; (b) im silniejsze jest postrzeganie przez mężczyznę porodu swego dziecka jako ważnego wydarzenia w życiu, tym silniej w opinii respondentów, wydarzenie to wpływa na samoocenę. Przeprowadzone badania wykazują, że uczestniczenie przez mężczyznę wporodzie swego dziecka ma znaczenie dla jego samooceny. Zrealizowane badania, mające charakter wstępny, wskazują na potrzebę pogłębionych badań dotyczących obecności ojca przy porodzie dziecka oraz badań dotyczących wielopłaszczyznowego znaczenia tej obecności
Udział wiernych świeckich w sądownictwie kościelnym
Get PDFThe aim of the article is to present the problem of the implementation of the apostolic mission of lay lawyers in the structures of the ecclesiastical judiciary. Against the background of analyses and norms of general character, the specificity of this issue in the Catholic Church in Poland is presented. The text is divided into three parts. In the historical introduction the development of the doctrine of the Church concerning the participation of the lay faithful in the structures of ecclesiastical institutions, in particular in ecclesiastical courts, is presented. Then, as a result of a search made by the author, the numerical status of the employed laity in the episcopal courts of Poland is presented. The last part of the article is an attempt to clarify the existing situation both in terms of livelihood realities (ecclesiastical institutions in Poland as employers) and the still cautious reception by Polish Catholics of the thought of the Second Vatican Council with regard to the participation of the lay faithful in ecclesiastical governance (potestas regiminis). On the basis of the literature on the subject, the theological basis for the legitimacy of the inclusion of the laity in the structures of governance and administration of justice in the Church and the corresponding doctrinal thought of the Church’s universal law in force are indicated.Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie problematyki realizacji misji apostolskiej świeckich prawników w strukturach sądownictwa kościelnego. Na tle analiz i unormowań o charakterze ogólnym zaprezentowano specyfikę tego zagadnienia w Kościele katolickim w Polsce. Tekst podzielono na trzy części. We wprowadzeniu historycznym ukazano rozwój doktryny Kościoła dotyczącej udziału wiernych świeckich w strukturach instytucji kościelnych, w szczególności w sądach kościelnych. Następnie jako wynik kwerendy dokonanej przez autorkę zaprezentowano stan liczbowy zatrudnionych świeckich w sądach biskupich na terenie Episkopatu Polski. Ostatnia część artykułu to wnioski będące próbą wyjaśnienia zastanej sytuacji zarówno pod względem realiów bytowych (instytucji kościelnych w Polsce jako pracodawcy), jak i nadal ostrożnej recepcji przez polskich katolików myśli Soboru Watykańskiego II w odniesieniu do współuczestniczenia wiernych świeckich w kościelnej władzy rządzenia (potestas regiminis). Na podstawie literatury przedmiotu wskazano teologiczne podstawy słuszności włączania laikatu do struktur zarządzania i administrowania sprawiedliwością w Kościele i odpowiadające tej myśli doktrynalnej obowiązujące powszechne prawo Kościoła

Get PDFThis article presents an outline of the spirituality of the daily life of the laity as interpreted by the holy prelate Josemaria Escriva de Balaguer, whose teaching is the foundation of the activity of Opus Dei, which conducts the formation of lay people, most often involved in work and family responsibilities. This spirituality, supported by the Bible and the teachings of the Apostolic Fathers and was from the beginning a novelty in the traditional pastoral message and is still proving to be a help to thousands of members and supporters of the Work today. The intuitions of St Josemaria Escriva have been fully confirmed by the teaching of Vaticanum II.Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie zarysu duchowości codzienności świeckich w interpretacji świętego prałata Josemarii Escrivy de Balaguer, którego nauczanie stanowi fundament działalności Opus Dei, prowadzącego formację osób świeckich, najczęściej zaangażowanych w pracę zawodową oraz obowiązki rodzinne. Duchowość ta, wspierająca się na Biblii i nauczaniu ojców apostolskich, stanowiła od początku novum w tradycyjnym przekazie duszpasterskim i do dziś okazuje się pomocą dla tysięcy członków i sympatyków Dzieła. Intuicje św. Josemarii Escrivy zostały w pełni potwierdzone przez nauczanie Vaticanum II
