No full textThe idea that our society is in a crisis with multiple elements -sociological, political, economic, axiological - has a common place in publicdiscourse. For those interested by the phenomenon of education, teachers,students, pupils, parents, first of all, it is important to answer to the question:Is education in a crisis? Clearly, we should not made very complex researchesto answer affirmatively to this question. Such an analytical approachgenerates a new question: Is a beneficial crisis for education? On this secondquestion, an affirmative answer can raise objections, especially about theeffects of a crisis of education on the formation of its beneficiaries. However,in a society in crisis, the education is suffering and its recovery involves anextremely complex approach, in which the main mission of the science ofeducation is to build a new teaching. PERCEIVED TEACHERS’ COPING SKILLS INSTRUCTION, SELF-EFFICACY AND STUDENTS’ TEST ANXIETY: WHAT RELATIONSHIPS EXIST?
No full textThis study examined the relationship between perceived coping skills instructed by teachers to handle cognitive task difficulties and students’ self-efficacy and test anxiety. Two hundred and nineteen secondary school students were used in the study. Findings revealed a significant positive relationship between perceived problem-focused coping skills instructed and students’ academic self-efficacy, social self-efficacy, and emotional self-efficacy; a non-significant positive relationship between perceived emotion-focused skills instructed and students’ academic self-efficacy, emotional self-efficacy, and a significant positive relationship with social self-efficacy. There were also non-significant positive relationships between perceived seeking-social-support coping skills instructed and students’ academic self-efficacy and emotional self-efficacy; a significant positive relationship with social self-efficacy. Findings also showed significant negative relationship between perceived problem-focused coping skills instructed and test anxiety; between emotion-focused skills and students’ test anxiety; and a non-significant negative relationship between seeking-social-support coping skills and students’ test anxiety. Implications of these findings were highlighted

No full textOutdoor education has come to the point where, besides being a modern teachinglearningmethod, it can easily develop certain competencies if it is done according tostrategical rules. Modern education is based on the development of competencies andthe curriculum motivates the use of activities that can build these in children of anyage. One of the most important parts of a competency is the attitude of pupils towardsoneself, others and learning. This study, presents the theoretical base of attitudes asparts of competencies and how pupils can achieve them through formal education. Italso presents a research amongst a group of second graders from Arad County basedon outdoor learning activities and the multiple ways in which these can developattitudes in the research group. We are going to present the instruments and theresults, which preliminarily show that involving kids in outdoor learning activities cansuccessfully develop positive attitudes towards self, society, the micro group andtowards learning

AGGRESSIVENESS AND VIDEO GAMES AT THE STUDENTS FROM PRIMARY SCHOOL: 10.24250/JPE/2/2019/IG/DP/MN
No full textAggressiveness in students is a phenomenon that teachers, colleagues and parents increasingly have to face. In an attempt to explain the etiology of aggressive behavior, we started from the premise that video games that children play can influence their aggressive behavior in the direction of augmenting aggressive behavior. The theoretical foundations of this study are from the theories of aggressiveness theories and its causes to students. We also mentioned some types of video games, divided into two categories - with inherently aggressive content, with potentially or non-aggressive content. The group of subjects consisted of 35 students from primary school. Two tools were used to collect the data - a video game questionnaire and the Buss & Perry questionnaire to identify students' aggressiveness levels. As a result of the statistical processing of the data using the T Test, it was found that those students who use explicitly aggressive games also develop more aggressive behaviors. The other category of students, who consume non-aggressive games, show fewer aggressive behaviors. Thus, we can use as a measure to reduce aggression in those students the replacement of games with high aggressive potential with some non-aggressive ones
Effect of Employees’ Educational Attainment on Corporate Entrepreneurship Performance in Selected Companies in Kwara State, Nigeria
No full textThis study examined the effect employees’educational attainment has on corporateentrepreneurship performance in selectedcompanies domiciled in Ilorin the capital ofKwara State in Nigeria. Ten companies located inKwara State were purposefully selected fromwhich 300 respondents were randomly selected.The respondents differed in their functionalpositions to capture various employees’viewpoints across a variety of management andemployee grades, as well as across different teamsand departments. The study examines corporateentrepreneurship performance from the dimensionof organizational innovativeness andorganizational risk propensity. Regressionanalysis was used to examine the effect of independent variable on the dependent variables.From the results generated in line with thespecific objectives, the study found thatemployees’ educational attainment significantlycontribute to organizational innovativeness andorganizational risk-taking, as significantdimensions of corporate entrepreneurshipperformance. However, employee’s educationalqualification contribute significantly more toorganizational risk taking, with R2 = 0.549, whichis greater than organizational innovativeness(R2=0.321)
