The effects of divorce and parental alienation on the alienated parent: A qualitative study of parental alienation

    No full text
This qualitative study follows the experience of parenthood for a research group of 20 subjects (ten mothers and ten fathers) who were unable to have normal relationships with their children due to the phenomenon of parental alienation. Data was collected using the narrative method and semi-structured interviews. Processing brought to light four main themes that dominate the lives of these parents whose children refuse all contact with them: the experience of having failed as a parent, a loss of relationship with the child as a result of the harsh intervention of the alienating parent, interference by the mother-in-law to undermine their parental role, and a feeling of hopelessness and powerlessness arising from the perception that there are major deficiencies in the judicial, social protection and mental health systems in Romania

ACADEMIC MOTIVATION OF STUDENTS FOR LEARNING: 10.24250/jpe/1/2021/CVI

    No full text
In today's society an essential factor is given by the freedom to choose, so we can identify two general trends that have an impact on our students: on the one hand the freedom offered by the use of technology and the impact of the Internet in students' lives. We especially argue the multiple diversity of information sources to which students have access, the possibility to organize their entire training, information, learning activity standing in front of the computer or tablet. The second direction given by the globalism we all live in, so that everyone can change their career at any time or we can have access to resources and products from any corner of the world. From an educational perspective we are concerned with understanding the mechanisms underlying students' motivation when they are put in the situation of choice. There is a series of researches, which highlight the general aspects that motivate and those that demotivate students. At the same time, there is a list from which we start to arrive at the measures we put in place to increase motivation. Robinson and Fielding (2010) summarizing the research in the literature formulates: children are motivated by interest in the topic, success (they find satisfaction in the results of their work), challenge (and the feeling that they have the freedom to make mistakes), activities that they propose (to feel that they are useful, that they have a clear purpose to pursue and that they have the ability to complete them on time). On the other hand, children are demotivated and bored when the activity is routine (… is monotonous, does not present a challenge and has nothing new in it) and is perceived as a waste of time. (Pânișoară I.O., 2017, p. 118)The same author paraphrasing what Aguilar and Lafaix (2009) said that a school subject is like a jewelry box. If the box is beautiful, the jewelry looks more valuable. Do not rely on the intrinsic value of the subject you teach. You have the "jewel", but you also need the box. (Pânișoară I.O., 2017, p. 118) In this sense, we aim to analyze the particularities of students' motivation from the perspective of their involvement in a responsible and valuable learning process. Thus, the premises are the learning process as an individual activity in which the student is involved depending on the specific motivation of each one. Even if the students, colleagues of the same year, within the same training program, aim at obtaining the same qualification and acquiring its specific competencies, each has its own motivation and individual way of relating to the learning process. &nbsp

THE INFLUENCE OF INTELLIGENCE ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF CREATIVITY: 10.24250/jpe/1/2021/GSV

    No full text
The psychology of our days promotes the idea that any human being has the capacity to be creative, but for this to happen there are a series of factors necessary to be involved. Guilford, the father of creativity, emphasizes the involvement in creativity of non-intellectual factors, but still considers that it remains under the condition of intelligence. Based on this fact, the present study researches convergent thinking as an important factor of the development of creativity and the variation of creativity in the school environment according to certain particularities, like the age and the background of the pupil. Contemporary education is dealing with the issue of creative learning, which is defined as a “form of teaching that, as a ultimate purpose, creates individual and collective behaviors which are oriented towards the search, the discovery and the realization of the newâ€. (Åžchiopu,1992).  Therefore, creative teaching entails: personal initiative and independent work, belief in one’s own strengths, positive reactions to the demands of the environment. Creativity will become more and more a needed ability in the future and civilizations will thrive according to the measure of creativity they display. Creativity is therefore a problem that can determine the survival in time and space. (Roco, M.2001

Purpose. This paper makes an analysis of the basic technical and physicaltraining on uneven bars in women’s artistic gymnastics. Methods. A studywas carried out in the Romanian national team of women’s artistic gymnastics, with a group of 14 gymnasts aged 13-16. The study was conductedfrom 2017 (initial testing) to 2018 (final testing). The physical training (PT)was assessed by means of 10 physical tests and the basic technical training(TT) by 8 tests. Performance capacity (PC) on uneven bars was monitoredin competitions too. Statistical analysis was made with KyPlot program, usingdescriptive indicators and the parametric method Paired Comparison forMeans, at p<0.05. Results. The comparative analysis of PT indicators highlightsan improvement of muscle strength development and significant differencesat p<0.05 in holding a handstand (physical test - PT3), power handstand(PT4), alternating one-legged squats (PT5), long jump (PT8) and push-ups (PT10). The comparative analysis results of basic TT indicators reveal animproved execution in final testing at p<0.001, p<0.01 and <0.05, except forelements with flight phase on the same bar (technical test - TT4) - p>0.05.The PC results highlight the elements difficulty increase (p<0.05), the executiondecrease, the final score increase and p>0.05. Conclusions. The use of aphysical training program (per muscle groups, both in the first and the secondtraining) and preparatory exercises for each technical requirement on unevenbars showed the dynamics of muscle groups strength development accordingto the results obtained in competitions

Methodology: In order to fulfill this review are using methodsof literature analysis, and is made combination and comparison of data fromvarious works and projects of authors varied. To successfully realize thisreview paper we studied and analyzed the contemporary scientific literatureprovided by various Internet-based research sectors such as: “Jab Ref†“PubMed†“Google Scholar†“Medline†“Sports Discuss†and “Research Gateâ€.The methods used are: literature analysis, physical activity statistics, conclusionsand recommendations. Conclusions and recommendations: all the literatureused can be clearly seen the importance of understanding motivation, and the factors on which it depends on the teacher. The purpose of physicaleducation, ie the concept of physical education class has changed radically in all developed countries. Earlyeducation imposes a holistic vision on the actions exerted onthe child, the different areas of development not beingseparated. Care is an integral part of this approach in astimulating, integrative educational environment. Thus, it isnecessary to train educators and teachers to achieve a qualityeducation for all children, without discrimination, in aneducational environment appropriate to their age, with thesupport of family and community. In this article we outlinesome directions that aim to train the professional skills ofspecialists in early education

CONFLICT MEDIATION BETWEEN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN: doi>10.24250/JPE/1/2020/AI/MBI

Abstract: Conflicts between children refer to misunderstandings or hostilities between children of the same age. These often are occasional, unplanned and do not involve extreme violence. However, peaceful conflict resolution skills must be learned at an early age in order to prevent degenerate into violent acts at a later age. The aim of this study was to analyze the conflicts that appear in the elementary school classes. These were then grouped according to their intensity. One group of children was then exposed to conflict resolution activities. Our results demonstrate the validity of the working hypothesis and support the idea of introducing specialized hours in the school curricula addressing positive conflict management skills
