MULTICULTURAL SCHOOLS AND THE INCLUSIVE DIMENSION OF WELL-IMPLEMENTED COMMUNITY PRACTICES ON BOOSTING THE SCHOOL ETHOS: 10.24250/jpe/SI/2023/MDI/AFR/
Multicultural schools are not merely schools where students of different ethnic groups or nationalities learn together, but primarily they are schools with an ethos. The facets and characteristics of such schools impact the learning trajectories of students and inclusive practices are the norm there. The effective implementation of such practices, the strategies for keeping the learning environment inclusive, alongside preserving identities and fostering developmental pathways are core values in multicultural schools. The article aims at highlighting the importance of salient features of such schools and the implementation of case studies provides models and frameworks to be observed. Furthermore, a skill set that promotes critical thinking and problem-solving in the context of blended learning, alongside the face-to-face one, are core competences in a multicultural learning environment. The identity construction of each ethnic group needs to blend into an educational environment that fosters unswerving cross-cultural teaching. Inclusion and integration are part of a student-centered approach to teaching, in schools where means and methods are tailored to address the specific needs of the student, turning a dependable child into an autonomous adult, regardless of the diverse socio-economic or cultural backgrounds students come from
PERCEIVED IMPACTS OF PLANNING AND ORGANIZING OF LEARNING ENVIRONMENT ON ENTREPRENEURIAL EDUCATION IN OSUN STATE UNIVERSITY: 10.24250/jpe/2/2023/AMI/FOA/
Persistent unemployment issue in the country demands a drastic solution from all stakeholders in Nigeria project. This study examined the perceived impacts of planning and organizing of learning environment for entrepreneurial education in Osun State University (UniOsun). The participants comprised 300 undergraduates drawn randomly from three of the six campuses of UniOsun. A well modified instrument was used for data collection. The findings revealed that the content delivery of entrepreneurial education programme in UniOsun was well delivered in terms of equipping students with skill of recognition of opportunity, networking skills and making professional contacts, and creativity; but less adequate with reference to enhanced leadership and communication skills and equipping students to become independent problem solvers. well valued in the society, others felt otherwise Besides, students’ perceptions of the relevance of entrepreneurial education programme for job creation was poor; but less supportive in terms of limited number of instructors for training programmes, and lacking in creative development of students. Hence, it was recommended, among others, that the school management should increase the level of attention paid to the entrepreneurial areas that were perceived to be inadequately delivered in UniOsun
URBAN AQUEOUS SYSTEM AS A HOTSPOT FOR WATERATMOSPHERE EXCHANGE OF CH4
Methane (CH4), a potent greenhouse gas, has negative radiative impacts on the atmosphere, reachingup to 20 times compared with CO2. However, mitigating CH4 emissions from its sources, either natural oranthropogenic, will reduce global warming consequences in the short run, given that CH4 has a short lifetime whichtakes approximately a decade.The urban aqueous system is part of the natural sources of CH4 in the urban area, which could be influenced bymicroorganisms or increased human activities and the discharging of sewage water into the system.Recent studies have stated that high organic matter in river sediments is the primary source for increasedproduction of CH4 in the river bed. However, the contribution of the urban aqueous system in CH4 annual fluxes is stilluncertain, so a research gap needs to be filled to understand further CH4 emissions from this system.This study aims to detect CH4 content in the urban aqueous system and identify locations with high concentrationsto establish further investigation and determine the factors behind these concentrations.In our study, the aqueous system is classified into three main categories: rivers, lakes, and ponds. Water sampleswere collected from each of these sub-systems for estimating CH4 concentration. Samples from Somes River weregathered from three segments: upstream, urban segment within the urban area, and downstream river. Moreover, sampleswere also taken from lakes and ponds, considering spatial even distribution between sampling points.Our samples were analyzed via head-space extraction method using Tunable Diode Laser AbsorptionSpectroscopy (TDLAS), which precisely detects emissions up to 0.1 ppmv.The results showed that water samples are oversaturated with CH4 concentration. In other words, the aqueoussystem in the selected urban area represents an active hotspot for CH4 exchange from water into the atmosphere.However, CH4 fluxes should be quantified to understand better the contribution of the urban aqueous system tothe CH4 budget and to take appropriate abatement measures for reducing these emissions
Consolidation of lateral Danilova in female artistic gymnastic
Introduction. Artistic gymnastics is one of the most beautiful sports disciplines, offering a show of great virtuosity, mastery and art. She helped to get to know our country, taking the fame of this discipline to the farthest corners of the world, raising Romanian sport to the highest heights of glory.The goal. The purpose of the paper is to promote the application of the algorithmic program, which I have created, in order to learn and perfect the acrobatic element of the lateral jump, lateral Danilova in female artistic gymnastics. The hypothesis. Using the methods and means proposed by me in this work, I believe that this can lead to a faster, correct and effective acquisition of the lateral jump, lateral Danilova.Work methodology. The study was carried out during the 2022-2023 school year, between September and February, including female athletes who practice artistic gymnastics from the 3rd grade. We applied the experiment on the group of children who participated in artistic gymnastics training nine times a week.Results. From the analysis indicators statistically looking performances experimental when scoring the technical execution of the technical element - lateral Danilova, lateral jump (with marks from 1-10), the conclusion can be formulated that been stabilized arithmetic mean, for TEST initially it was 3.71, and for the final test of 6.21. INNOVATION FOR ALL: UNLEASHING THE POWER OF ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY IN SPECIAL EDUCATION IN ARABIC SPEAKING COUNTRIES: 10.24250/jpe/SI/2023/MA/
In this study, we look at how special education teachers are increasingly using assistive technology (AT) to help children with disabilities. Our research focuses on the available literature on AT implementation in special education in Arabic-speaking nations. Our analysis includes a look at the advantages, disadvantages, and prospective applications of AT in this setting. The study's findings shed light on a number of major topics that emerge from the literature. For starters, it highlights the importance of personalised and student-centered methods to AT implementation. Recognizing each student's unique needs and abilities means that AT interventions are personalized to optimize their impact. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the vital relevance of providing adequate training and continuous support to both teachers and students who use AT. Adequate training provides educators with the skills and knowledge needed to properly apply AT, while continual support ensures its continued effectiveness in the classroom. Furthermore, the evidence demonstrates AT's tremendous potential to improve outcomes across a wide range of academic and functional areas. Students can overcome barriers, learn key skills, and actively participate in their educational path by utilizing AT technologies. Finally, this paper explores the implications of these findings for future special education research and practice. The findings of the literature study serve as a platform for future research and show the importance of continuing to investigate the influence of AT on students with disabilities in Arabic-speaking nations. This study adds to the growing body of knowledge about assistive technology in special education, particularly in Arabic-speaking countries. It is a great resource for educators, policymakers, and researchers, emphasizing the significance of student-centered approaches, training, and the potential of AT to improve results for students with disabilities
ENHANCING ENTREPRENEURSHIP OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH CHEMISTRY EDUCATION: IMPLICATION FOR NIGERIA YOUTH EMPOWERMENT IN THE 21st CENTURY : 10.24250/jpe/2/2023/AAU/MFA/
The study investigated enhancing entrepreneurship opportunities through chemistry education: Implication for Nigeria youth empowerment in 21st century. Three research questions with their corresponding null hypotheses guided the study. A quasi-experimental, nonrandomized control group design was adopted in three intact groups. population of this study was 954 SS 3 chemistry students in Odeda Local Government Area. A sample of 142 chemistry students was drawn using a purposive and simple random sampling techniques from three (3) out of 18 public schools in the LGA. Three intact classes were randomly assigned experimental groups (two classes) and control group (one class). Both experimental and control groups were subjected to pre-and post-testing. A 20item tagged “Chemistry Practical Skills Acquisition on Soap and Detergent Production” (CPSASDP) structured on a 4-point rating scale developed by the researchers was the instrument used collection. It was validated by three chemistry education and experts measurement evaluation. The reliability estimate was using Cronbach’s Alpha for data in and computed with coefficient index of 0.75. The three groups were taught the same concepts, but with different instructional arrangement. Data collected were analyzed using mean and standard deviation to for answering research questions and Ztest for answering the null hypotheses at 0.05 level of 102 Journal Plus Education Vol. XXXIV No.2/ NOVEMBER, 2023 p.102-114 significance. The results revealed that both entrepreneurial skills engagements enhance skills acquisition if appropriately handled. In addition, the hypotheses were accepted because they only differed in their mean score differences. Based on the results, it was recommended among others that students should apply the skills acquired in Chemistry practical to enhance their entrepreneurship development
TEACHER – PARENT COLABORATION IN PLANNING AND PRACTICING OUTDOOR EDUCATION IN PRIMARY SCHOOL: 10.24250/jpe/Vol.32/1/2023/EMC/HT
The present brief study is based on the issue of planning and practicing outdoor education in primary school. We have enhanced the role of adults in planning, wich means projecting and preparing space, time and resources. Also we have underlined the aspect of including parents in all aspects, starting from the planning phase and also to be actively present in the practicing part. In the second part of the article, we have included a research, about the role of adults in outdoor learning activities in primary school. In this matter, we are going to present the results of a focus group, organised both with parents and teachers from a primary school in Arad County. The preliminary results show the fact that parents expect better communication from teachers in order to get better prepared and involved in the aoutdoor activities of their children

The society we live in is full of crisis-generating events. People face daily events that they cannot cope with on their own, such as wars, pandemics, natural disasters, famine, drought, financial problems, unemployment, political uncertainties, social upheavals, personal crises, divorces, deaths, or involvement in critical incidents. A professional category that goes through crises and is frequently exposed to critical incidents is the firefighter rescuers. (Vancu 2013) The role of the psychologist working in emergency situations is to provide psychological first aid in the initial phase of the crisis so that symptoms do not worsen and the firefighter can function at normal psychological parameters
E-LEARNING AS A FACTOR IN STIMULATING GIFTED STUDENTS TO ACHIEVE ACADEMIC SUCCESS: 10.24250/jpe/Vol.32/1/2023/AGR/GG/AR
The aim of the study is to examine how gifted students are stimulated to use e-learning for academic achievement. The main questions to which an answer is sought in this context are: What types of activities do gifted students use in e-learning?How do students evaluate the adequacy of ICT resources for their academic achievements so far? What are the relationships between the use of ICT for learning and the personality traits, self-esteem, and motivational strategies of gifted people? The theoretical context consists of concepts of self-regulation, new concepts of intelligence - self-management of intellectual processes - Sternberg, emancipatory didactics.The research has used the method of systematic, non-experimental observation, and as instruments, a battery of questionnaires: (PSIKT) Protocol on students' self-perception about the importance and use of ICT and e-learning to stimulate students towards academic achievements—made for this research; Questionnaire of Motivation for Learning (LLOS-IEA), SMS-Scale of Motivational Strategies, Inventory of Competencies for Memory and Reasoning (MARCI-Stankov & Crawford), and Personality Traits (BFIIV). Metric characteristics of the instruments: Krombach's (alfa) for parts of the battery ranges from 0.62 to 0.83. It was used as a convenience sample, consisting of 687 students from the universities of Belgrade, Novi Sad and Niš (within this number, 127 are academically gifted, with an average grade above 9.00). Basic findings: When compared to other students, academically gifted students focus more on expanding their knowledge based on their interests, research work, and interactive self-evaluation tests in e-learning. Using ICT for learning and academic success is closely related to students' personal characteristics (personality traits, self-confidence, motivation). Gifted students have stronger self-confidence, motivation, and personality traits than other students

Our study want to find if the success of the functional integration of children with disabilities depends on the degree of involvement of specialists in the mediation of conflicts with the parents of typical children and their opposing attitude towards integration. In order to have a functional integration and all the children in the class, typical or disabled, in order to benefit from education, they need the attention and involvement of specialists, the support of parents, and relationships with classmates. The involvement of specialists in counseling parents with disabilities as well as typical ones, may facilitate a successful integration. In order to identify the benefits of integration for all children, the support of school managers and the support of school inspectorates is essential
