An Overview on Software Reconfiguration
Dynamical software reconfiguration represents a major direction in nowadays research due to its promise of providing faster solutions to everchanging problems by adding more flexibility to any given software solution at the cost of processing power, cost which given the relentless progressmade by hardware manufacturers is becoming insignificant. This paper was designed as a complete overview of the software reconfigurationparadigm, looking at it from all the relevant angles - pros and cons, where to use and where not to use, challenges and solutions in implementation
An Extension of Kuttner’s Theorem
The aim of this paper is to give some extensions of this theorem by replacing w0(p) by [cA; M]0
Guidelines for Improvement Information Processes in Commerce by Implementing the Link Between a Web Application and Cash Registers
The main task of the article is clarifying the content of dierent types of costs (which are associated with providinginformation about business processes) and on this basis an identification of opportunities for their reduction maybe found. In this regard, this paper examines business processes in retail in rendering account of sales. A special placein the article is devoted to the analysis of existing models of information technology systems in commercial enterprises. The important question for the adaptation of web applications in commercial enterprises has been developed.Factors contributing adaptation ofWeb applications in business practices are taken in account. Factors hindering theiradaptation (such as the relationship of a web application with cash registers a problem that is not widely discussed) arealso reviewed. A discussion of various options for improving both the technological model of the information systemin enterprises and specific guidelines for the quantification of the proposed approaches to reduce costs is made
Analyzing Trends for Maintenance Request Process Assessment: Empirical Investigation in a Very Small Software Company
Assessment and improvement of software maintenance processes in small software companies is very importantbecause of large costs of maintenance and constraints of small software companies. This study presents an approachto assessment of software maintenance requests’ processing in a very small local software company. The approach iscontext dependent and uses trend analysis and feedback sessions for assessing the current state of maintenance requestprocessing. The analysis is based on various sources of data such as: internal repository of maintenance requests, company documents, transcribed records of interviews with company employees, and transcribed records of feedbacksessions. Monthly trends for maintenance requests, working hours and types of maintenance tasks, by consideringclients and software products are presented in the article. Identified trends were discussed during feedback sessionsin the company. Participants in feedback sessions were company employees and researchers. During discussionsof trends, some directions for further improvement of maintenance requests’ processing were proposed. The articleconcludes with implications for practitioners from industry and researchers, as well as further research directions
Primality Testing and Integer Factorization by using Fourier Transform of a Correlation Function Generated from the Riemann Zeta Function
In this article, the author tries to make primarity testing and factorization of integers by using Fourier transformof a correlation function generated from the Riemann zeta function
The Applicability of $-Calculus to Solve Some Turing Machine Undecidable Problems
The -calculus belongs to superTuringmodels of computation. Its main goal is to provide the support to solve hard computational problems. It allows alsoto solve in the limit some undecidable problems. In the paper we demonstrate how to solve in the limit Turing MachineHalting Problem, to approximate the universal search algorithm, to decide diagonalization language, nontrivialproperties of recursively enumerable languages, and how to solve Post Correspondence Problem and Busy BeaverProblem
On Bounded Variation Sigma I Convergent Sequence Spaces Defined by an Orlicz Function
In this article we study bounded variation I M, bounded variation I of M, and bounded variation I sigma of M sequence spaces with the help of bounded variation sigma space. We study some topological and algebraic properties of these spaces and prove some inclusion relations
A Mixed Integer Linear Programming Formulation for Restrained Roman Domination Problem
This paper deals with a subgroup of Roman domination problems (RDP) named Restrained Roman dominationproblem (RRDP). It introduces a new mixed integer linear programming (MILP) formulation for the RRDP. The presentedmodel uses relatively small number of the variables and constraints and could be of use both in theoretical andpractical purposes. Proof of its correctness is given, i.e. it was shown that optimal solution to the RRDP formulationis equal to the optimal solution of the original problem
Measure of Tessellation Quality of Voronoï Meshes
This article introduces a measure of the quality of Voronoï tessellations resulting from various mesh generators.Mathematical models of a number of mesh generators are given. A main result in this work is the identification ofthose mesh generators that produce the highest quality Voronoï tessellations. Examples illustrating the application ofthe quality measure are given in comparing Voronoï tessellations of digital images
New Subclass of p - valent Harmonic Meromorphic Functions
In this paper, we have introduced a new subclass of p-valent harmonic meromorphic and orientation preservingfunctions in the exterior of the unit disc. Coecient bounds, distortion bounds, extreme points, convolution conditionsand convex combination for the functions belonging to this class are obtained
