No full textThis work demonstrates how it is possible to realize themainstreaming of disability in a complex field such as thatof bioethics, through a collaboration over time between associationsof people with disabilities, academic institutions,and national and international bodies. The participation ofDisabled People’s International Europe in the planning andteaching of the Master’s in Bioethics at the University of Camerino,and the Polytechnic University of the Marche, constituteda starting point for a cooperation project that resulted inparticipation in the National Bioethics Committee of Republicof San Marino by Giampiero Griffo as an external expert.Thanks to this support, the first document on disability waselaborated by a National Bioethics Committee and this themewas kept in mind in all other documents, where needed. Thepoint of view of the disabled associations was also taken intoconsideration in relation to the evaluation of particularly importantCouncil of Europe documents for people with disabilities.It is hoped that this example of cooperation could bean incentive for further forms of collaboration in other areasof society, with the awareness that inclusion is the only formof involvement in decision-making processes

Actions and visions for the social inclusionof persons with disabilities in the light of the experienceof the “Franco Bomprezzi” Centre by LEDHAThe exclusion of persons with disabilities is a permanentfeature in the history of humanity. It has taken decades to confirmthe link between a condition of disability and the conceptof discrimination. This article intends to retrace, from acultural and legal point of view, the long road that led to thedefinition of discrimination based on disability. Drawing conclusionsfrom the analysis of the first three years of activity ofthe “Franco Bomprezzi” Anti-discrimination Centre run byLEDHA, the article aims to look at the current situation regardingthe application of Law 67/2006, the Italian legislationprohibiting any form of discrimination based on disability.Our analysis confirms the potential of promoting the rights ofpersons with disabilities through anti-discrimination protectionactions. However, the day that discrimination suffered bypersons with disabilities will be actually considered a seriousviolation of human rights is still a long way away. The path tothis goal encourages the active participation of an increasingnumber of persons with disabilities in identifying and contrastingthe many forms of discrimination still hidden today
Distorsioni percettive in Die Ermordung einer Butterblume di Alfred Döblin
No full textThe paper investigates Alfred Döblin’s medical studies with respect tohis first writings belonging to the so-called Frühexpressionsmus. Byanalyzing Döblin’s theoretical reflections proposed in his Berliner Programm(1913), the paper focuses on its relapses on the short-prose DieErmordung einer Butterblume (completed in 1905, but published in1910 in the Journal «Der Sturm» and in 1913 in a collection ofshort-stories named after it). In the attempt to demonstrate that in this narration Döblin exploited his medical and psychoanalytical studies on neurosis and the Korsakoff’s syndrome, the paper explores the role played by the gaze in Die Ermordung einer Butterblume and the meaning of the hallucinations experienced by its protagonist within the «Döblinismus», i.e. an epistemological, critical and literary method peculiar to the author
La vita, il sogno, la crisi. Le percezioni distorte nell’opera di Unica Zürn
No full textOver the last few years many studies have been carried out on the presence of a surrealist movement in the first half of 20th-century Germany. Publications to be mentioned here are, among few others, Der Surrealismus in Deutschland (?) edited by Karina Schuller and Isabel Fischer (2016), Surrealismus in der deutschsprachigen Literatur edited by Friederike Reents (2009), as well as Alltags-Surrealismus. Literatur, Theater, Film edited by Sven Hanuschek and Margit Dirscherl (2012). Unica Zürn (1916-1970) represents a particular case within this scenario: her psychophysical discomfort, in fact, ended up enhancing the formal suggestions derived from the French and German Surrealism, which is also due to her tormented relationship with Hans Bellmer (1902-1975), one of the protagonists of the Parisian Surrealism. The paper aims to investigate Zürn’s autobiographical writings – such as Das Haus der Krankheiten – along with others like Der Mann im Jasmin and Dunkler Frühling. Despite their distance to the self, indeed, they contribute to sketch her life. By taking into account her drawings and paintings as well, the paper also analyses how the practice of a writing that records mental and physical upheavals, alongside the use of the anagram and the intersections between words and illustrations, have assumed the value of a therapeutic self-control over the most acute crises, acting at the same time as a cultural testament that prefigures the tragic outcome of her existence

No full textDays and Deeds (Tage und Taten) embodies an ambivalence that is typical for the practice of putting the modern Poetic Self in relation to its present form. This contribution aims to analyse this unique short prose collection by Stefan George in the general framework of the vision devices which are peculiar to German Moderne and their perceptive paradigms, with particular reference to oneiric symbolism and physiognomy. This allows to reconsider the question of the modernity of George’s poetics with regard to the shaping of perception and its distortions. The key concepts that here lead to the understanding of the collection as a whole are Traum, i.e. dream, and Gesicht, which in George’s poetic idiom means “face”, “vision” and also “view”

Il personaggio di Rönne in Gehirne di Gottfried Benn: un passeggiatore solo a spasso per la città invisibile
No full textDr. Werff Rönne, the protagonist of Gottfried Benn’s novella cycle Gehirne (1916), is a sort of solitary walker in occupied Brussels duringWorld War I. Described by Helmut Lethen as the «eye of the hurricane», Brussels is hardly mentioned in Benn’s prose and the metropolitandimension of the setting seems to be marginalized as well. Rönneis from the beginning of the cycle intellectually bankrupt, which preventshim from being a “blasé” à la Simmel, while Brussels is rather thestage of a «mise-en scene of the protagonist’s psychic state» (Huyssen).Focussing on the intersections between science, philosophy and poeticsin some of Benn’s early works (Gespräch, Unter der Großhirnrinde)thematically connected to Rönne’s development, this paper showshow the delimited urban space in Gehirne is only the first step towardsthe aesthetic experience of the dissolution of the limits (Entgrenzung)in the project of a ‘new syntax

No full textThis essay deals with an analysis of the notions of functionings and capability in Sen’s and Nussbaum’s ‘capability approach’. Sen proposes two different definitions of functioning and two different definitions of capability; Nussbaum, on her part, distinguishes between internal and combined capabilities to avoid this complexity. Such an analysis seems to be fruitful in order to apply the approach to pedagogical issues and to public education policy.Riassunto: Questo saggio propone un’analisi delle nozioni di funzionamento e capacità nell’approccio delle capacità di Sen e Nussbaum. Sen presenta due diverse concezioni di funzionamento e due diverse concezioni di capacità; Nussbaum distingue tra capacità interne e capacità combinate per evitare questa complicazione. Una tale analisi può essere utile anche per estendere l’approccio a questioni pedagogiche e a una politica pubblica nei confronti dell’istruzione

No full textIn the last century, the historiography of philosophy has painted a portrait of Blaise Pascal as multifaceted as it was the thought of the French philosopher. In this paper, we will follow the most significant historiographical considerations, those that have represented the reference framework for most of the history of historiography, which then flowed into the philosophy textbooks adopted and used in the Italian schools from the Gentile Reform until the present days. The purpose is to show that Pascal is a force that even modernity needs to reckon with, in particular in the context of an open classroom, oriented towards critical awareness.Riassunto: La storiografia filosofica ha offerto nell'ultimo secolo un ritratto di Blaise Pascal che appare poliedrico come poliedrico era il pensiero del filosofo francese. In questo lavoro si inseguono le riflessioni storiografiche più significative e che hanno costituito l'impalcatura teoretica per buona parte della storia della storiografia che è poi confluita nei manuali di filosofia adottati ed utilizzati nella scuola italiana dalla Riforma Gentile sino ad oggi. L'intento è quello di mostrare la necessità, da parte della modernità, di fare i conti con Pascal anche e soprattutto in un contesto-classe aperto e orientato alla consapevolezza critica
