The purpose of this contribution is to discuss the potential of international training for teacher educators. The professionalism of teacher educators can benefit from international networking, mediated by digital resources and aimed at developing didactic, linguistic and intercultural skills. The international project “Blended Learning Training for teacher 270 Civitas educationis – Education, Politics and Culture educators” (BLTeae) is presented as a case study. It was addressed at teacher educators from different European and Asian countries. The project put in evidence emerging perspectives on the potential of an increasingly global and international professional training. SERVIZIO SOCIALE E TUTELA DELLA SALUTE MENTALE: LE PROSPETTIVE APERTE (E NON ANCORA REALIZZATE) DALLA LEGGE N. 180/78 / SOCIAL WORK AND PRESERVATION OF SANITY: THE PERSPECTIVES OPENED (AND NOT YET ENACTED) BY LAW No. 180/78
This paper aims to give to all those social workers involved in the field of mental health protection a key of interpretation about the principles contained in the Basaglia bill of 1978. Firstly, this article analyses the development of the profession of the social worker during the deinstitutionalisation movement of the Seventies, focusing in particular on the effects deriving from the legislative discussion. Then, the current provisions of the territorial Districts of Mental Health (DSM) on health services will have examined, shedding light on the relative inadequate health and social care integration. Finally, it will have proposed the concept of the intervention on health determinants as a cross-cutting approach which aims to guide the practice of social service profession: the de-institutionalisation of everyday life governing the promotion of mental health. Keywords:Social Work, Psychiatry, Mental Health, Community Care
RATING AGENCIES, SYMBOLIC CAPITAL AND THE EVALUATION OF NATION-STATES. A PRELIMINARY EXPLORATION
By drawing on Bourdieu’s concept of symbolic capital as the powerof constructing social reality and naturalising domination, the article offers a preliminary exploration of the role of rating agencies in terms ofmonopoly of symbolic power within the contemporary ‘financialised’world. The paper, therefore, critically examines the power and role ofrating agencies, while also framing the practice of rating in terms ofa highly political process – despite being veiled as a technical exercisemade by experts – aimed to preserve neoliberal orthodoxy globally.Eventually, the paper analyses the downgrade of Italy’s ratings in October2018, that is, after the establishment of the new ‘Yellow-green’ government. In this case, I show that rating agencies acted in a pre-emptive way to foster the preservation of neoliberal agenda and fiscal austerity. The concluding remarks, finally, lay emphasis on limits and future potential of the research. IL MANICOMIO È SCRITTO DA FUORI/ASYLUMS ARE TOLD FROM THE OUTSIDE
While Wilhelm Heinse’s trip to Italy is justly considered a major event in his life and a significant component of his aesthetic thought, his brief stay in Naples may not appear determinant. In both his essays and fiction, nevertheless, Heinse does mythologize the city – in contradiction to the socio-political critique to be found in many Aufklärung travel narratives. Firstly, he praises Naples for its conjunction of both Edenic and destructive nature, as well as its inhabitants’ spontaneous adaptation to undomesticated elements. Secondly, in his novel Hildegard von Hohenthal, which he draws from his knowledge of the great composers of late opera seria he reactivates the musical myth of the «Neapolitan school»
Una lettera di Carl Schmitt a Walter Benjamin
Jacques Derrida speaks of a letter from Carl Schmitt to Walter Benjaminwhich does not actually exist. It is a “Purloined Letter” in whichthe main defendant is History. From this theft - real or fictitious - aplot unfolds that sheds light on some aspects of the relationship betweenSchmitt and Benjamin and on the cross-reading of an outsiderlike Georges Sorel. At stake is the clash between anarchy and statismunder the incipient «Um dieser Tiere, reiner und unreiner, willen!»
Remaking Education at Anarchist-Inspired Alternative School
This article explores the philosophy and practice of anarchist education within the context of an alternative middle and high school in an urban setting. It sets out to explore how educators within the field reconcile some of the tensions and conflicts at the heart of anarchist thinking, particularly as it pertains to its organizational structure and educational practices. To do this, the article begins by examining the history and practice of anarchist education, arguing for a recovery of its emancipatory, political roots, and a problematization of the neoliberal focus on management and performance, an approach that divests education of its political and ethical content. We then provide a concrete example of anarchism that informs the organizational practice of an alternative school animated by anarchist principles and radical traditions in education. We argue that the political challenges we face demand project-oriented schools characterized by dialogic governance and a relational approach to justice. Such schools may help us reimagine education to promote both individual and collective flourishing
Education during the French decade was considered a fundamental prerequisite for the development of the country. The research starts from the investigation started by Gioacchino Murat with the decree of 1809, in order to shed light on the state of public education in the kingdom of Naples. The objective of the work is to verify the results of the inquiry into the state of these schools, focusing on the female classes, on the skills of the teachers, then on the quality of the education offered to the girls starting from the arts ‘proper to their sex’ that each of them he would have had to learn to contribute to the subsistence of the family and to the good education ‘of the future children’.Riassunto: L’istruzione durante il decennio francese venne considerata un prerequisito fondamentale per lo sviluppo del Paese.
