Violenze e molestie tra i banchi di scuola. Partire dall’educazione per combatterle
Get PDFAny kind of violence represents a failure of humanity. It’s often a silent and submerged drama that spreads imperturbably in the most disparate, and sometimes unsuspected, contexts, such as in schools and universities. These latter places should be safe and protected environments where the adults of reference do not turn into executioners, but remain firm in their educational and moral integrity. The contribution starts from an overview in which, through examples, the definitions of the various general types of violence are proposed up to the focus of the investigation, sexual harassment. The analyzes are accompanied by recent statistical data, where available, given that today there is an absence of a structured, institutionalized and homogeneous monitoring of the forms of violence that afflict educational environments. Finally, at the end of the article, there are some pedagogical reflections on the active role that education can take not only to raise awareness, but also to combat sexual harassment and gender discrimination that can occur within school and university contexts.Riassunto Ogni tipo di violenza rappresenta un fallimento dell’umanità. Spesso è un dramma silenzioso e sommerso che si diffonde imperturbabile nei contesti più disparati, e talvolta insospettabili, come nelle scuole e nelle università. Questi ultimi dovrebbero rappresentare dei luoghi sicuri e protetti in cui gli adulti di riferimento non si tramutano in carnefici, ma rimangono saldi nella loro integrità educativa e morale. Il contributo prende avvio da una panoramica generale in cui attraverso esempi si propongono le definizioni dei vari tipi di violenza di genere fino a giungere al focus dell’indagine, ovvero le molestie sessuali. Le analisi sono corredate da recenti dati statistici, laddove disponibili dato che tutt’oggi vi è un’assenza di un monitoraggio strutturato, istituzionalizzato e omogeneo sulle forme di violenza che affliggono gli ambienti educativi. Infine in conclusione dell’articolo sono presenti delle riflessioni pedagogiche sul ruolo attivo che l’educazione può assumere non solo per sensibilizzare, ma anche per contrastare le molestie sessuali e le discriminazioni di genere che si possono verificare all’interno dei contesti scolastici e universitari

No full textAbstractIn this article we present some studies that, in the wake of the Critical Evaluation Studies approach, deepen the deconstruction of “neo-evaluation” devices and analyze the consequences of their application to different professional contexts, e.g., in schools, universities, social and health services, and inclusion policies for people with disabilities. We argue that evaluation practices not only do not improve the professional performances in these areas, but also lead to the loss of autonomy, intrinsec motivation and freedom to act. As a result of this process, the space of “professionalism” is increasingly invaded and colonized by the logic of the market and managerialism. Finally, the symbolic violence of evaluation practices is emphasized. Evaluation enacts a “force” that governs conduct, but it does so by presenting itself as “form”. In this way, it allows force to be exerted without even being recognized as force, so that force ends up taking the objective, acceptable and convincing form of quality. No full textIn the summer of 2022, while I am writing this article, the issue ofworking conditions in the outsourced social and health services is onthe agenda of the public debate. The Syndemy and the daily news of“shortages of staff” in youth and elderly care have brought the problemback to the forefront. Moving from such contingent emergencies, thearticle aims at offering a panoramic view of some of the main issuesregarding the transformations of welfare and social workers’ labor conditionsin Italy that emerged in the last decades: the rise and crisis ofwelfare mix, the different forms of outsourcing and privatization, theindustrialization of social work, the forms of value extraction that havedeveloped in the sector. Il presente lavoro ha l’obiettivo di analizzare le ripercussioni del progresso tecnologico sui rapporti sussistenti tra datore di lavoro e dipendenti, e di verificare se l’attuale normativa garantisca un’effettiva tutela dei diritti fondamentali del lavoratore.In the current digitalization society, the world of work has undergone radical changes, due to the introduction of technological and IT tools to support work. The advent of modern technologies in corporate realities has expanded the employer's control power of its employees, posing new issues in terms of protecting the freedom and privacy of workers.
