No full textIn the article the activities of the Ukrainian writer and politician of the interwar period Ivan Kedryn Rudnicki are discussed. As a member of UNDO (Ukrainian National Democratic Alliance) and journalist of the newspaper “The Dilo” Rudnicki stood on guard of the interests of the Ukrainians, living in the Second Polish Republic. In the first half of the 30s he was one of the animators of standardization policy in very diffi cult Polish-Ukrainian relations.In the article the activities of the Ukrainian writer and politician of the interwar period Ivan Kedryn Rudnicki are discussed. Get PDFThe aim of this article is the reconstruction of family values in Ukrainian proverbs and sayings. The main feature that distinguishes proverbs and sayings from other samples of oral folklore is their relevance. Therefore knowledge about the value orientation in family relationships, gained by many generations and recorded in proverbs and sayings, deserves a comprehensive study and attention.The aim of this article is the reconstruction of family values in Ukrainian proverbs and sayings. Get PDFThe paper is characterized by the methodological guideline on the complex of the nature of health considering the social and personal aspects of the human desire for health. Health is positioned as the natural, enduring, absolute value of life. It determines the constitutive signs of health as a value and it reveals the evaluative-emotive specifi city of the phraseme axiological oppositions “healthy — physically unhealthy”, “healthy — mentally unhealthy” and “healthy lifestyle — bad habits” which represent the physiological and psychological levels of the health value in Ukrainian phrasemics.Artykuł przedstawia założenia metodologiczne dotyczące kompleksowego charakteru zdrowia, z uwzględnieniem społecznych i indywidualnych aspektów kształtowania potrzeb człowieka wobec zdrowia. Zdrowie zostało zdefi niowane jako naturalna, niezmienna, absolutna wartość życiowa. Ustalono konstytutywne cechy zdrowia jako wartości i ujawniono specyfi kę oceniająco-emotywną frazeologicznych opozycji aksjologicznych, typu: „zdrowy — fi zycznie niezdrowy”, „zdrowy — psychicznie niezdrowy” i „zdrowy tryb życia — nałogi”. Get PDFThe article analyzes surname suffi xes of Ukrainian origin, present in Polish anthroponymy of Polish-Ukrainian borderlands. Linguists are particularly interested in Polish-Ukrainian borderlands because here Polish culture along with the Polish language has been affected by the local Ruthenian (Ukrainian) culture and language. Therefore, Polish-Ukrainian interference is refl ected in the phonetic and morphological structure of analyzed anthroponyms.Artykuł poświęcony jest analizie formantów nazwiskowych pochodzenia ukraińskiego obecnych w antroponimii polskiej mieszkańców pogranicza polskoukraińskiego, które z punktu widzenia interferencji językowej wywołuje szczególne zainteresowanie językoznawców. The actualized meanings, verbal images, occasionalisms, abbreviations and their derivatives are also described.W artykule ukazano funkcjonowanie nazw liter oraz ich pochodnych w stylu publicystycznym. Scharakteryzowano główne funkcje danych jednostek językowych, specyfikę ich leksykalizacji, semantyzacji, pragmatyki, tworzenie gry językowej za pomocą narzędzi graficznych.
