Shakta Podaboli is a very important genre in the Medieval Bengali Literature. In the crucial time of 18th century Bengali poets started to write these poems where they tried to get a mental peace and shelter to ‘Maa Kali’ for expressing their grievances and grief. Ramprasad Sen and Kamalakanta Bhattacharya are the most prominent poets in this genre. Ramprasad is a true devotee of Kali. So He manifests His veneration in the Parjay of ‘Bhakter Akuti’. In these poems He allegorically expresses the true meaning of Tantric ‘Shiva-Shakti’ theory. He reveals Tantric ‘Shatchakrabhed’ and ‘Kundalini’ theory through the metaphors of so called ‘Shiva-Gouri’s conjugal life. In this article we tried to decode that Metaphors through some tantric texts and references. Another poet Kamalakanta Bhattacharya is excellent in the Parjay of ‘Agomoni’ and ‘Bijaya’. ‘Agomoni’ and ‘Bijaya’ is basically based on Uma’s arrival in his father Himalaya’s home and departure to Kailasa. In this context, Shiva has been portrayed as a poor, old and bohemian husband of Bengali girls of that period. Uma’s mother Menaka’s anguish and tormentation is revealed here thinking of Uma’s miserable married life. Menaka sends Himalaya forcefully to Kailasa to fetch Uma only for four days and after four days when Shiva comes to take Uma mother Menaka’s heart fills with distress and disappointments. Kamalakanta’s poems reveal a common photography of contemporary Bengali Family through the cruel system of child marriage of many Uma. We tried to denote that problem through the married life of Shiva and Uma. Mother Menaka’s cry and anguishes echoes through the poems and shows us the painful married life of sacrificed one common Bengali girl whose name is Uma. She is assimilated here with mythological Shiva’s wife Uma. We analysed about it in the article

In the history of the post-modern Jibanananda Das written Bengali poetry (1932-2021), Sankha Ghosh is a distinct pioneering poet. In modern Bengali poetry he is regarded as an artistic and naturalist poet giving a reflection of his creative mind through his poetry. In his poetry a coexistence of love and apathy is noticed. The poet\u27s love centralizes in optimism whereas apathy to him is restlessness, despair and pessimism. During the post-independent social and political decadence and economical breach, in the midst of negativity in Bengal, the poet gives the message of hopefulness. Shouldering the liability of a poet he wanted to lead all, along the path to liberty. Remaining between contemporary tensions, the poet has ignited his values among the mass. In his poetry, there is an establishment of new self-possession in love-protests, forgiveness- attacks and devotion-anger. The poet has never restrained himself to use his mighty pen to attack the anarchy in society and culture, both abode and abroad. The love and the ignorance in Sankha\u27s poetry have progressed swayingly. The poet did not want to be impersonal. Instead, being inspired by individual consciousness he expressed the stark reality as realistic. On the ground of this unambiguous truth, he has sowed the seeds of light and also grown crops. Through his free words Sankha has not only expressed love but he has also stated his views on indifference. The reality of love and the love of reality have mingled together in his poetry. The experience gathered by him every moment has sped up his poetry. In his creation, there is a feeling of full-hearted love and on the other hand, there is his screaming loneliness. His poetry exhibits a soft version of romanticism. The poetic mind of Shankha Ghosh is always aware of the repercussions of all the socio-political events of the day. Whenever he needed words to express his thoughts about the mayhem in the society, his inner-self came forward and provided him the voice. Finding ardent self-absorption of controlled emotion in his poetry many critics have compared him to Rabindranath Tagore but his choice of words, sharp satirical language and description of sound have uplifted him to the status of the most modern poet of his time. After being bound to the guillotine of the doctrines of religionsand casteism the helpless men got entangled in the snare of slavery. Ideologies change with time and the leaders change too but the common folk remains plunged in the same darkness. Joy of living gets erased from their life. From time to time, they get lured of enjoying a stable economic status. Instead, they become victims of famine and an ambience of revolt gets created. The worst sufferers in these conflicts are the common folk. The theme of his poetry gets created from the poet\u27s personal gains and losses and hopes and despairs. His simple and lucid language became the words of despair and the voice of protest. Throwing the spotlight on anxiety Sankha has illuminated the lamp of love

Women can be considered as one of the most important human resources of the society. The status of women in a society is an indicator of the quality of social organizations of that society. Therefore, the development of the entire world is not possible without the upgradation of women\u27s condition and empowerment, and the best tool for this women empowerment is education. During the British period, education became a tool of colonial domination, although only a minority had access to that education and were able to enjoy all its benefits. It was in this context that the social reformers of the 19th century raised the demand for women\u27s education. However, despite various efforts, women are somehow deprived of education and other basic rights due to various reasons such as poverty, child marriage, gender discrimination, inequality etc. West Bengal as a state of India is no exception. Therefore, with the aim of overall development and empowerment of girls in West Bengal, in 2013, under the inspiration of Hon\u27ble Chief Minister Ms. Mamata Banerjee, the Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Department of West Bengal Government launched the Kanyashree Project, which aims to prevent school dropout, child marriage and child pregnancy aiming to empower adolescent girls through financial independence. This research paper aims to confirm whether Kanyashree project plays an active role in improving the social status of women and thereby empower them? - Attempts have been made to uncover it. In this case, the role of Kanyashree project in promoting women\u27s education and ensuring self-reliance has been explored in a primary study of 100 kanyashrees in selected women colleges in North 24 Parganas and the awareness of the beneficiaries about their position has been verified

    Marginalization, Globalization and Short Stories of Saikat Rakshit/ প্রান্তজন, বিশ্বায়ন এবং সৈকত রক্ষিতের গল্প

The Bengali equivalent of the English Globalization is the word \u27Bishwayan\u27 used in rap. Many also favor the use of the terms globalization or internationalization as alternatives to globalization. In fact, the full bond of the word Globalization is Economic Globalization. In one word, Globalization ie marketization-spread of global capitalism. Marginalization is an important issue in globalization. Marginalization is a complex process by which a group of people is pushed to the bottom of society, either socially, economically, politically, or culturally. In this essay we have tried to discuss the impact of globalization on the lives of these marginalized people in the short stories of the Bengali short story writer Saikat Rakshit. In the context of the discussion, we have selected his stories \u27Ankshi\u27, \u27Pagha\u27, \u27Maraikal\u27, \u27Laxman Sahis\u27, \u27Pot\u27, \u27Utkhater Patabhumi\u27 etc. But Saikat Rakshit no longer wants to write stories, he wants to convey the history of a social revolution in stories. Want to show the change in that society and at the same time want to show that in the era of globalization where the state is taking so many steps for development, a nation is only becoming more marginalized day by day clinging to some ignorance and superstition. It is very painful for the country and the nation, and that pain was heard in this story. In the name of globalization, global capital is creating a new power structure by uniting people, states, societies and nations, but at the same time, the larger population of the world is not only being economically exploited by the power of capital, but with it, social instability, identity crisis, religious extremism are born. Infinite expansion, displacement of local culture. The world we live in today is without roots or foundations. Due to this challenge to the national culture, the question of what is the identity of man, where are his roots, etc. has become a deep spiritual question today. Not getting any shelter, people are taking refuge in religion. Extremist and militant sects of religion are taking advantage of this weakness. As a result, while the world is uniting in terms of markets and economic activities, people are becoming divided socially and culturally. That is why nationalism and national identity movements are gaining strength. What is the self-identity of man, where are his roots, etc. questions are playing a role in people\u27s life today. Saikat Rakshit is one such seasoned storyteller who has been writing stories and novels for more than four decades. Since the seventies, the new journey of Bengali fiction has been one of its passengers. A particular political slogan of the seventies was to surround the city with the village. Who knows how successful it was in politics, but village life occupies a wide space in Bengali fiction. Even after various changes, Saikat Rakshit\u27s writing has not been displaced, it is not a small matter

Rabindranath is one of the wonders of Bengali literature. His life was devoted to worship the beauty of mother nature. The lush green beauty of world was one of his inspirations. In each of his works, he has explored the infinite forms of nature and its profound interaction with man. In this article, we will arch the story of a battle whose beginning and conclusion differs, but motto stays same- ‘Save nature’. An evil machinery with different names, works the same to curtail the pace of nature. Sometimes by cutting down trees, sometimes by holding water, it disrupts the rhythm of nature. Balai and Abhijit are the two protagonist of this struggle. Doesn’t the narrative of Balai from the short story alliterate with the activities of Abhijit from the drama ‘Muktodhara’? Let us analysis this topic

A novel is one of the modern equivalents of literature. With the change of time, new genres are created in novels. A new genre of Bengali novels is Trilogy/ ‘Troyi’. If a novel has three parts and maintains a continuity in plot and characters, it becomes a novel trilogy. In addition to Bengali novels, poetry and films use this form or genre. This trend is more common in Bengali novels. If you notice, it will be seen that ‘time’ is a very important element in the use of this form in the novel. It will be seen how ‘time’ played a special role in the novel trilogy. Time plays a variety of roles in the typical novel. Time sometimes comes as ‘perceived time’, sometimes as ‘apparent time’. Again, time in narrative comes through speech. Here we will take a brief look at the ‘perceived time’ of the novel trilogy. If you notice, it will be seen that the novel trilogy has come up for a long time. We have tried to show the political, economic, social aspects of the period in the novel trilogy in the article

Renowned Novelist Sri Samresh Basu has written a number of travel-novels based on Indian mythology under the pseudonym ‘Kalkut’. The novel, here we are discussing is ‘Shambaw’. This was first published in the 1978 issue of ‘Sharadiya Desh Patrika’. In this novel how ‘Kalkut’ has drawn a mythological character ‘Shambaw’ as a real-life, struggling character and by reconstruction of mythology how the novel has become a contemporary life story, that\u27s the main point of this discussion. Shambaw\u27s novel is based on an insignificant story and character of the Indian mythology, but here Kalkut has been able to reconstruct parts of the mythology from the very beginning. Due to the inevitable curse of his father Sri Krishna, Shambaw came down with terrible disease leprosy. This sudden calamity in the life of the improbable handsome Shambaw, saddens him but does not discourage. He faces destiny. As the father instructed, he patiently moves forward on the difficult path to release from the curse. In this journey, not only alone Shambaw, but also many others leprosy sufferers like him are encouraged by Shambaw to get rid of this disease. Here, Shambaw is presented as an inspiration to those who have lost hopes in their life. The tone of transition from doubt, crisis, despair that were formed in the turbulent political situation of that real time, can be heard in the character of ‘Shambaw’, written by Kalkut. How Shambaw called for soul-searching and great mass-awakening, despite the decline of values of that time by defeating so many obstacles, is the main focus of this discussion
