Лексико-семантические изменения в русском языке на примере плеонастических и тавтологических конструкций
The article shows the phenomenon of tautological and pleonastic expressionsin the context of lexical and semantic changes based on the example of the Russian language from a synchronic and diachronic perspective. Attention is paid to neutralizing the redundancy of the components of pleonastic/tautological constructions, their referential use and the dynamism in creating pleonastic abbreviations and constructions that are formed by using foreign components. Based on these facts, pleonasm and tautology can be considered a manifestation of lexical and semantic changes both with regard to the synchronic and diachronic aspects of the language

Пародийный пересказ Дон-Аминадо об эмиграции и эмигрантах
Among the group of Russian emigrants in the 20th century, after the October Revolution, were many famous satirists and humorists, for example, A. Averchenko, Sasha Cherny, N. Teffi, V. Goryansky, Don-Aminado and many other acclaimed masters of satire. Attention is focused on a mock novelette about emigration and emigrants that was written by the so-called “new Kozma Prutkov” – a forgotten satire writer Don-Aminado (real name: Aminad Petrovich Shpolyansky). The year 2012 marked the 55th anniversary of his death. This article examines Don-Aminado’s aphorisms and a mock novelette about his fellow countrymen in France. The experience the satirist gained from his wanderings after hehad emigrated from Russia let him re-evaluate many things and allowed him to make fun of himself, his friends and the fact that, by a stroke of fortune, they came to Paris. The existence of a “little man”, i.e. a Russian emigrant in France, his/her poverty, debts, the privation he/she suffered, the lack of professional job offers and the fact that he/she lived on credit was the major theme in Don-Aminado’s satire. Don-Aminado is said to beKozma Prutkov’s successor as regards his poetic parodies, maxims and aphorisms that are applicable to life, which is the secret of their longevity

The linguistic features of Russian scientific and educational texts are compared from the point of view of Grice’s conversational maxims. This article shows that many stylistic mistakes in students’ research papers result from these students’ use of educational, and not scientific style, while the former is targeted at a different kind of reader. The linguistic features of Russian scientific and educational texts are compared from the point of view of Grice’s conversational maxims. For the last twenty years the number of bilingual and multilingual speakers who use Russian has been decreasing. This fact is primarily related to the new sociolinguistic situation in the Central Asian Republics

О выражении радости (на примере русских конструкций с предикатом „рад” и их польских текстовых эквивалентов)
The author concentrates on the typically Russian structures with predicate рад, which expresses joy, and their Polish equivalents. It turns out that, apart from dictionary counterparts (rad, cieszyć się), also other lexemes with similar meaning (zadowolony, miło, przyjemnie) appear. As a result, sentences containing such structures are semantically similar, even if they differ syntactically. The use of some forms (e.g.: рад /miło mi) is, in some situations, a sign of obeying certain social norms of behavior. The author concentrates on the typically Russian structures with predicate рад, which expresses joy, and their Polish equivalents. Всем нужна буква Ё, или заметки преподавателей русского языка как иностранного
Only a Russian native speaker who has adequate philological knowledge knows when the letter “Ё” should be used. According to an article presented on a website called GRAMOTA.Ru – a portal providing information about linguistic correctness, written by the website’s author, the use of the letter ‘Ё’ is obligatory only in certain cases. This leads to the conclusion that a learner of Russian should master all possible cases in which this letter is not used and know the relevant grammatical and historical justification. We, the teachers of Russian as a foreign language, believe that such an attitude is a sign of an incomprehensible disrespect for one’s own language as well as of a complete misunderstanding of substantial problems facing all students of the Russian language, which completely deserves to be called international.Only a Russian native speaker who has adequate philological knowledge knows when the letter “Ё” should be used.
