It also focuses on practical examples and on analyzing Internet resources as well as the possible ways of working with these sources
Wasylisa Prekrasnaja i inni w rosyjskiej ludowej bajce magicznej
The aim of this paper is to emphasize the importance of Russian folkliterature in the form of a fairytale and to show potential difficulties in translation. Folk literature cannot be seen only as a certain form of ordinary people’s artistic voice since it has been developing in parallel with the mainstream literature in Russia. Russian folk fairytale has a specific structure and form which does not exist in any other culture. Like in many other languages and cultures, there are certain names, descriptive adjectivesand other forms that are very challenging for translators. In this paper many examples are provided to support this hypothesis. It is almost impossible to translate certain Russian fairytales without “over-“ or “under-interpreting” the content, and the subject matter itself needs to be thoroughly elaborated
Пародийное в романе Виктора Пелевина „Жизнь насекомых”
Victor Pelevin’s The Life of Insects is an original modification of the novel asa genre in postmodern literature. The writer uses parody when he reduces the main characters to the level of insects. He combines realism and fantasy in a crooked, grotesque mirror. Ambiguous characters open up in fable-like situations and unmask not only the socially-determined people of Russia of the end of 20th century, but also universal patterns of human consciousness. Pelevin locates the world of people in the microcosmos of insects, thus foreshortening the perspective and changing the perception. This is an allegory of the very meaning of human existence
Eksces i tragizm: „Noc Walpurgii, czyli Kroki Komandora” Wieniedikta Jerofiejewa
The article presents Venedikt Erofeev’s Walpurgisnacht, or the Steps of theCommander in the context of European transavantgarde, American art (e.g. Andy Warhol’s traumatic realism) and the vital literary concepts of the end of the 20th century. The category of shock is here regarded as a postmodern equivalent of the ancient notion of catharsis. The focus of the artistic reality in Erofeev’s text seems to be on the tragic conflict between life and death and on being in transition, which reveals the real purpose of human existence
Социальная и политическая сатира в романе В. Аксенова „Остров Крым”
This article is devoted to analyzing the use of satire and parody in VasilyAksyonov’s novel The Island of Crimea (1979). The author of this article presents a variety of aspects concerning the meaning of comic elements that were used by the writer to show the dissonance between reality and the idealistic as well as subjective perception of a difficult political and social environment
Typologia homonimii językowej z punktu widzenia pragmatyki
The paper proposes a new approach to the phenomenon of homonymy. Thetypology of homonymy was prepared from a pragmatic point of view. This is a typology related to all types of communicative acts. As a result of taking this approach, four main types of language homonymy were identified: sociolectal homonymy, discourse homonymy, ethnolinguistic homonymy and idiostylistic homonymy. The first three types were divided into more detailed categories, which resulted in dividing homonymy into: intrasociolectal and intersociolectal homonymy, intradiscourse and interdiscourse homonymy as well as intralanguage and interlanguage homonymy. Idiostylistic homonymy is an extraordinary type of homonymy and it is not divided in this way
Лексико-грамматическая омография существительных в русском языке
The article is an attempt to describe one of the types of Russian homography, i.e. lexical-grammatical homography, which involves words having a different lexical and grammatical meaning, for example, бéлку (acc. sing. of бéлка ‘squirrel’) – белкý (dat. sing. of белóк ‘protein’), бóров (nom. sing. of бóров ‘boar’) – борóв (gen. pl. of бор ‘pine forest’). By analyzing over 1,500 word pairs the author identifies three morphologicalareas in which lexical-grammatical homography is demonstrated to the fullest extent possible
Трагическое в философии монтажа. К интерпретации раздвоенности образа главной героини романа Л.Н. Толстого „Анна Каренина”
The article is an attempt at interpreting the tragic split in the artistic imageof Anna Karenina – the main character in Leo Tolstoy’s novel – from the perspective of the montage theory. The author seeks to demonstrate that the concept of montage (which was formulated by S. Eisenstein), when used as a research technique, plays a fundamental role in analyzing this literary text. A literary analysis of montage revealed the presence of a montage of antitheses, analogies, repetitions as well as leitmotifs, and emphasized the role of cinematographic detail and the main protagonist’s split consciousness. It allowed the author to uncover important contexts for interpreting the category of tragedy

The article focuses on analyzing the functioning of the Russian language inUkraine, including its diachronic and synchronic aspects. The language policy of the Russian Empire, the USSR and modern Ukraine was taken into account in the analysis. The consequences of this language policy, such as Russification, bilingualism, and the mixture of Russian and Ukrainian, are reflected in the new Ukrainian law – “Regulations of State Language Policy”. Pluralism and a new status of Russian as a regional language have also been implemented in this law
Пародийное в авторской песне
In this article parody is analyzed as a type of intertextuality. A reader canonly understand an artistic text which is a parody when he/she notices the contrast between its subject matter and form. Parody appears in Aleksandr Galich’s and Vladimir Vysotsky‘s author’s songs on different structural levels. Both poets purposefully chose the material to initiate a parodic game. The former prefers to interact with an elitist listener who comprehends the multi-level textuality of his works, while the latter refers to well-known literary texts
