The article synthesizes, organizes and in many ways reveals and defines the conventionally invariant and derivative values (senses) of the hyperfrequency particle \u27AS IF (КАК БЫ)\u27 using as its material various discourses in the modern Russian language. Anthropological and phenomenological study revealing the pragmatic strategy of the speaker\u27s approach to the texts, substantiated the hypothesis of the permanent dialogical, situational significance of this specific discourse phrase, even in cases when it reveals the physiological aspects of speaking. On the surface, the explanation of the reasons for the high frequency use of \u27as if\u27 is based on socio-political factors. At the same time, the ”byte of uncertainty” of our time correlates with the categories of contemporary postmodernist consciousness with its freedom from the unambiguous connection of the word with the denoter and, as a consequence, with the loss of uniqueness and certainty. The article synthesizes, organizes and in many ways reveals and defines the conventionally invariant and derivative values (senses) of the hyperfrequency particle \u27AS IF (КАК БЫ)\u27 using as its material various discourses in the modern Russian language. The paper addresses B. Norman\u27s humorous etymological Russian dictionary. By reanalyzing the morphological structure of Russian words, Norman provides them with knowingly false, amusing interpretations. The paper proposes to investigate the word-formation aspects of Norman’s re-analyzed lexis. It mostly represents an attempt to “build” the false etymological entities into the system of all existing word-formation techniques of the Russian language. Specific features of amusing para-etymology are also identified. The paper addresses B. Norman\u27s humorous etymological Russian dictionary. The article is a study of nouns with the same spelling but different grammatical gender (graphic homonymy, i.e. homography) in Modern Danish. The aim of the article is to analyze the grammatical and lexical homography of both neuter and non-neuter Danish nouns, which have been divided into two groups. The nouns in the first group occur in both grammatical genders with no difference in meaning (grammatical homographs), while the second group is comprised of nouns that do have different meanings based on their grammatical gender (lexical homographs). The author has also identified differences based on word stress (stress homography), different pronunciation and differences connected with the presence of stød or lack thereof, which usually cause a difference in meaning. The article is a study of nouns with the same spelling but different grammatical gender (graphic homonymy, i.e. homography) in Modern Danish. Structures in the good sense and in the bad sense are one of the ways of verbalizing the act of evaluation. What is interesting from the psycholinguistic point of view is their potential to activate a “backward” evaluation of concepts that are well established in the system of language that lies hidden in these structures, on the one hand, and the elements of the dynamics of axiomatic processes in the language that reflect social and cultural changes that can be revealed by them, on the other hand.Structures in the good sense and in the bad sense are one of the ways of verbalizing the act of evaluation. The aim of the article is to present the names of the valuables in testaments of the Russian great and appanage princes of the 14th-16th century. Special attention has been paid to clothing terminology (names of textiles, colours and dyes, individual garments, clothing details). Lexicographical and etymological data, as well as a semantic classification of dress and clothing detail names are provided. According to Jean Baudrillard, far from the primary status of an object being a pragmatic one, it is the sign exchange value which is fundamental. Thereupon, the attempt to present the social meaning and the unconscious discourse of the valuables mentioned in the testaments of the Rurik dynasty members is also made in this article. The aim of the article is to present the names of the valuables in testaments of the Russian great and appanage princes of the 14th-16th century. Mikhail Zoshchenko creates specific configurations of word and stylistic constructions using foreign-language parentheses in form of separate lexems, expressions and syntactic structures inserted into passages of a protagonist’s speech. The phenomenon of compilation of Russian and foreign-language forms [or quasi-foreign — taking into consideration the significant number of distortions] can be illustrated by the short story ‘История с переодеванием’. The interlocutors in the text, who in fact cannot speak any foreign language, pretend to use ‘foreign’ words and expressions, involving themselves in a specific verbal game. Their dialogue consists of collocations carried to absurdity, for example: ‘...их бин ейне шамбер-циммер Испания. Компрене? Испания. Падеспань’; ‘Ву зет Германия, одер, может быть, что-нибудь другое?’. Such words and foreign illogical collocations appear to be a unique stylistic device in Zoshchenko’s texts. Their specific features are determined by foreign lexical units usually belonging to several languages. Most frequent are syntactic structures containing Germanisms and Gallicisms. What is more, in Zoshchenko’s texts the foreign parenthetic words and expressions are used exclusively in Russian graphics, which leads to certain changes and modifications of their semantic and phonetic structures according to the model of the Russian language. Transliteration does not reflect the adequate articulation of foreign words and, consequently, results in grotesque effects.Mikhail Zoshchenko creates specific configurations of word and stylistic constructions using foreign-language parentheses in form of separate lexems, expressions and syntactic structures inserted into passages of a protagonist’s speech.
