The application of artificial intelligence technologies in management
The digital transformation of our world and the inevitable interplay between people, digital technologies, and physical assets are creating a rapidly changing and complex environment that requires organizations to be more agile and ready to embrace new ways of working. Businesses are realizing the need for change to succeed in the digital age. In the period of global digitalization, information and communication technologies are one of the most important aspects of existence for a business, which makes it more efficient and effective and allows you to quickly respond to a rapidly changing external environment, as well as customer needs. At the moment, there is a high interest in the possibilities of artificial intelligence for use in business tasks in the world, as there are already examples of successful implementation when artificial intelligence and machine learning are fundamentally changing the way people work and increasing the profits of organizations in different countries. The purpose of this case study is to consider how artificial intelligence affects the value proposition and how elements of the business model change when using this technology. The paper presents the existing examples of the use of technology, the consequences of its application and the prospects for using artificial intelligence as one of the advanced digital transformation technologies. With a literature review and case studies analysis, the article aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the impact of AI on business models, drawing from both theoretical insights and practical experiences documented in case studies. The potential technical breakthroughs in the field of process control and automation are a subject of significant interest and research. These advancements have the potential to transform several industries by enhancing safety, productivity, and sustainability in manufacturing processes. One potential advancement is the integration of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to process control systems. AI and ML are anticipated as key catalysts in improving decision-making abilities and optimizing processes. Besides, they can analyze large amounts of data in real-time industrial processes and can perform the necessary predictions. Further, the integration of IoT modernizes and creates a seamless network of interconnected devices with real-time communication and monitoring facilities. Development and research of acoustic properties of constructions with devulcanized rubber granules
Disertacijoje nagrinėjamos kelių sluoksnių konstrukcijos, į kurių sandarą įeina devulkanizuotos gumos granulės. Pagrindinis tyrimo objektas – perdirbtų padangų gumos granulių plokštės ir jas naudojant sukurtos garsą izoliuojančios konstrukcijos. Disertacijos tikslas – sukurti efektyvią konstrukciją įrenginių triukšmui mažinti naudojant devulkanizuotos padangų gumos granulių plokštes. Darbe sprendžiami keli uždaviniai: pirmasis ir antrasis susiję su gumos granulių plokščių kūrimu ir jų fizinių bei akustinių savybių tyrimais; trečiasis susijęs su eksperimentiniais konstrukcijų, kurioms kurti naudojamos gumos granulių plokštės, tyrimais; ketvirtasis – su konstrukcijų teoriniu tyrimu taikant perdavimo matricos metodą; penktuoju numatyta suprojektuoti ir įvertinti garsą izoliuojančio gaubto triukšmo mažinimo efektyvumą.
Disertaciją sudaro įvadas, trys skyriai, bendrosios išvados, naudotos literatūros ir autoriaus publikacijų disertacijos tema sąrašai.
Įvadiniame skyriuje aprašoma tiriamoji problema, darbo aktualumas, aprašomas tyrimo objektas, išskiriami darbo uždaviniai, suformuluojamas darbo tikslas bei uždaviniai, nurodomos tyrimų metodikos, darbo mokslinis naujumas ir darbo rezultatų praktinė reikšmė, pateikiami ginamieji teiginiai. Įvado pabaigoje pateikiamos disertacijos tema publikuotos autoriaus publikacijos ir pristatyti pranešimai konferencijose.
Pirmajame skyriuje nagrinėjamos gumos granulių naudojimo galimybės, aprašomi gumos granulių devulkanizavimo metodai, atliekama viengubų ir dvigubų konstrukcijų eksperimentinių teorinių tyrimų analizė. Antrajame skyriuje pateikiamos mėginių paruošimo, eksperimentinių įneštinio silpninimo, garso sugerties ir garso perdavimo sumažėjimo tyrimų, teorinio perdavimo matricos metodo ir skaitinio garso sumažėjimo modeliavimo metodikos. Trečiajame skyriuje pateikiami eksperimentinių tyrimų rezultatai ir jų analizė, skirta gumos granulių plokščių ir konstrukcijų su gumos granulėmis garso mažinimo efektyvumui įvertinti bei garsą izoliuojančiam gaubtui kurti.
Disertacijos tema paskelbti keturi moksliniai straipsniai: trys – mokslo žurnaluose, įtrauktuose į Clarivate Analytics Web of Science sąrašą, vienas – konferencijų pranešimų rinkinyje. Gautas vienas Lietuvos respublikos patentas.
Disertacijos tema perskaityti keturi pranešimai konferencijose Lietuvoje ir kitose šalyse.The dissertation investigates multilayer constructions that use devulcanized rubber granules. The main object of the research is panels made of recycled rubber granules and sound-insulating structures created using them. The dissertation aims to create an efficient construction to reduce device noise, the construction of which uses devulcanized rubber granule panels. The work solves several tasks related to the creation of rubber granule panels and the research of their physical and acoustic properties, experimental studies of constructions with a rubber granule panel, the theoretical research of structures based on the transfer matrix method, and the intended design and evaluation of the noise reduction efficiency of the sound-insulating enclosure.
The dissertation consists of an introduction, three chapters, general conclusions, references, and a list of the author’s publications on the topic of the dissertation.
The introductory chapter describes the research problem, the relevance of the work, describes the research object, distinguishes the tasks of the work, formulates the purpose and tasks, indicates the research methodology, the scientific novelty, and the practical significance of the work results, and presents the defended statements. The introduction closes with lists of the author’s publications and presentations on the topic of the dissertation.
The first chapter examines the possibilities of using rubber granules, describes methods of devulcanization of rubber granules, and carries out the analysis of experimental theoretical studies of multilayer constructions. The second chapter presents methods of sample preparation, experimental insertion loss, sound absorption and sound transmission loss studies, theoretical transmission matrix method, and numerical sound reduction modeling. The third chapter presents the results of experimental studies and their analysis for the evaluation of the sound reduction efficiency of rubber granule panels and constructions with rubber granules and the development of a sound-insulating enclosure.
Four scientific articles have been published on the dissertation topic: three in scientific journals included in the Clarivate Analytics Web of Science list and one in conference proceedings. One patent of the Republic of Lithuania was received.

Vilniaus tarptautinio oro uosto vystymosi prognozavimas ir triukšmo ribinių dydžių vertinimas
Accurate forecasting of future events is essential for managing and optimizing airport activities, facilitating the minimization of adverse environmental impacts. The availability of detailed information about yearly aircraft movements at Vilnius City International Airport (VNO) offers an opportunity to create various scenarios that projects the growth patterns within airport and aviation industry in general. This scientific research paper explores the temporal trajectory of VNO with a focus on forecasting its evolution towards reaching major airport status of 50 000 aircraft movements per year. The study employs quantitative method in forecasting data with cycling origin using the ratio to moving average method also known as Time Series Method (TSM). Calculations are done by Microsoft Excel software with which regression trend line is obtained. Two various scenarios are projected: the continuous use of Terminal 1 (T1) and the introduction of new Terminal 2 (T2). Forecast show that continuous use of T1 will reach threshold of 50 000 flights per year by end of 4th quarter of 2025. For T2 it is projected that 53 110 flights will be done at VNO at the end of the same year T2 is projected to become operational: 2026 4th quarter. These findings underscore the necessity of strategic planning and infrastructure development to accommodate future growth and increase airport efficiency in line with growing demands.Tikslus ateities įvykių prognozavimas yra būtinas siekiant valdyti oro uostų veiklą ir mažinti jos neigiamą poveikį aplinkai. Taikant kiekybinius metodus atliktas tyrimas leidžia prognozuoti VNO plėtros trajektoriją siekiant įgyti didelio oro uosto statusą ir viršyti 50 000 skrydžių per metus. Modeliuojami du scenarijai: tik esamo pirmojo terminalo (T1) naudojimas ir naujo antrojo terminalo (T2) atidarymo įtaka. Prognozės rodo, kad 2025 metų ketvirtą ketvirtį T1 pasieks 50 000 skrydžių ribą, o T2 galėtų pasiekti 53 110 skrydžių kiekį iki 2026 metų ketvirto ketvirčio, t. y. planuojamo T2 atidarymo. Straipsnis aktualus, nes didesnio pralaidumo oro uostai sukelia daugiau triukšmo, todėl jiems reikalingas griežtesnis triukšmo reguliavimas dėl galimo didesnio poveikio aplinkinėms bendruomenėms ir aplinkai.Taip / Ye
Stabilization of soil using polyurethane resin injection technology
The use of ground improvement technology, specifically soil injection using polyurethane resin, has gained significant attention in the construction industry for foundation sediments. This technique offers various applications in infrastructure projects and provides advantages such as preventing settlement, improving load-bearing capacity, and sealing underground structures. Traditional methods for stabilizing weak soil conditions are often time-consuming, costly, and may not produce desirable results. Polyurethane resin injection presents an alternative that requires minimal excavation, penetrates fine cracks and voids, and enhances the mechanical properties and stability of the soil. However, challenges such as achieving uniform resin distribution and accurately estimating injection volume and pressure exist. Ongoing research focuses on optimizing injection parameters, studying long-term performance, and understanding resin-soil interactions. Overall, soil injection using polyurethane resin shows promise for ground improvement and foundation stabilization, and further research is necessary to refine the technique and establish design guidelines for different soil conditions. This article provides an overview of the technology, including its properties, applications, advantages, and limitations, and presents a case study to demonstrate its effectiveness. The information presented enables engineers and construction professionals to make informed decisions about implementing this innovative technique in their projects

Impact of digital finance on economic growth
The advent of information and communication technologies (ICT) and the resulting innovations have considerably deepened the financial sector, thanks in particular to mobile money technology which promotes financial inclusion. Digital finance has enabled populations traditionally excluded from the financial sector to have access to financial services. According to the existing literature on the link between economic growth and digital finance, it is likely to be a source of economic growth. Countries therefore have an interest in advocating for policies aimed at developing digital finance, while considering the risks that arise from this finance. Digital finance has the potential to compensate for the shortcomings of traditional financial services through innovative financial products. The main objective of the article is to evaluate the effects of digital finance on economic growth. In this article, the authors also demonstrate how the literature has addressed the impact of ICT in relation to traditional finance. The data source is the World Bank’s Global Fintech database. Kibernetinio saugumo vertinimo priemonės sukūrimas finansų institucijoms
Cyber security is becoming one of the most critical issues for companies willing to empower their growth and business success by using online technologies. The development of online services has completely changed the ways and processes of financial services. The scientific problem formulated in the dissertation is the necessity to properly evaluate cyber security levels in financial institutions arising due to various sector-specific vulnerabilities. The dissertation’s research object is the assessment of cyber security in a financial institution.
The goal of this dissertation is to create a comprehensive tool that would allow financial institutions to evaluate the cyber security level individually within the organisation. The following main tasks are resolved within the dissertation: (1) to investigate cyber risks and cyber-security features and importance, identify the main areas of cyber security with indicators representing each area’s most significant features, based on scientific literature analyses, (2) to establish a methodology for a tool that allows the cyber security assessment in a financial institution, (3) to develop a unique questionnaire matrix to conduct an internal assessment of a financial institution’s cyber security level based on the provided cyber security indicators, (4) to create a tool for the cyber security evaluation in financial institutions by proposing a composite cyber security index as a final result, (5) to assess cyber security in selected financial institutions to practically verify the proposed composite cyber security index.
The dissertation consists of the following parts: (1) a scientific literature analysis on cyber risks and cyber security, general features, legal requirements, and cyber risk assessment presumptions. This part of the research is a significant theoretical background for the following steps. (2) A methodology for creating a composite cyber security index. (3) Final development of a composite cyber security index that consists of these main parts: 4 major areas of cyber security; 22 specific indicators within the areas; specific weight for each indicator; model of questionaries for individual evaluation of each indicator within the organisation. The proposed tool for evaluating cyber security in financial institutions – the composite cyber security index – is considered a comprehensive and effective method to assess cyber security levels, indicate weaknesses and vulnerabilities, and initiate adjustments and improvements in the organisation.Kibernetinis saugumas tampa vienu iš svarbiausių iššūkių įmonėms, siekiančioms padidinti savo augimą ir verslo sėkmę naudojant informacines technologijas. Internetinių paslaugų plėtra visiškai pakeitė finansinių paslaugų teikimo būdus ir procesus. Disertacijoje suformuluota mokslinė problema – būtinybė įvertinti kibernetinio saugumo lygį finansų institucijose, kadangi būtent šių institucijų veiklos specifika nulemia jų ypatingą pažeidžiamumą kibernetinėje erdvėje. Disertacijos tyrimo objektas – kibernetinio saugumo vertinimas finansų institucijose.
Disertacijos tikslas – sukurti įrankį, kuris leistų finansų institucijoms individualiai įvertinti savo kibernetinio saugumo lygį. Disertacijoje sprendžiami šie pagrindiniai uždaviniai: 1) išanalizuoti kibernetinės rizikos ir kibernetinio saugumo ypatumus bei svarbą ir nustatyti pagrindines kibernetinio saugumo sritis ir rodiklius, atspindinčius svarbiausius kiekvienos srities bruožus teoriniu aspek¬tu, 2) sukurti metodiką priemonei, leidžiančiai įvertinti finansų institucijos kibernetinį saugumą, 3) sudaryti unikalų klausimyną, skirtą vidiniam kibernetinio saugumo lygio įvertinimui finansų institucijoje atlikti, remiantis pateiktais kibernetinio saugumo rodikliais, 4) sukurti finansų institucijų kibernetinio saugumo vertinimo priemonę, kaip galutinį rezultatą pasiūlant sudėtinį kibernetinio saugumo indeksą, 5) įvertinti kibernetinio saugumo lygį pasirinktose finansų institucijose ir taip praktiškai patikrinti siūlomą sudėtinį kibernetinio saugumo indeksą.
Disertaciją sudaro šios dalys: 1) mokslinės literatūros apie kibernetinio saugumo sampratą, bendruosius bruožus, teisinius reikalavimus ir kibernetinio saugumo vertinimo prielaidas analizė (ši tyrimo dalis yra reikšmingas teorinis pagrindas tolesniems tyrimo etapams); 2) sudėtinio kibernetinio saugumo indekso sudarymo metodika; 3) sukurtas sudėtinio kibernetinio saugumo indeksas, kurį sudaro šios pagrindinės dalys: 4 pagrindinės kibernetinio saugumo sritys, 22 konkretūs rodikliai pagal sritis, konkretus kiekvieno rodiklio svoris, klausimynų, skirtų vidiniam kiekvieno rodiklio vertinimui organizacijoje, modelis. Siūlomas finansų institucijų kibernetinio saugumo vertinimo būdas – sudėtinis kibernetinio saugumo indeksas – yra išsamus ir veiksmingas įrankis, leidžiantis įvertinti kibernetinio saugumo lygį, nustatyti silpnąsias vietas, inicijuoti pokyčius organizacijoje siekiant pagerinti kibernetinio saugumo lygį.Taip / Ye

Deepfake Detection Models Based on Machine Learning Technologies
The paper is devoted to efficiency evaluation of modern deepfake detection models based on convolutional neural networks (CNN). In the context of rapid development of digital technologies and increasing volume of information on the internet, the relevance of detecting fake images, videos, and textual materials becomes increasingly significant. Fake content, spread through social networks and other platforms, can have serious consequences, ranging from individual malicious attacks to manipulations of public opinion on a global level. We have built and trained several models for detecting fake content using convolutional neural networks. The training was performed using Deepfake Detection Challenge Dataset. During the study, we carried out the comparative analysis of the created models. Obtained results were compared with a number of recent publications.Taip / Ye
