Milczące wiersze. Obraz i podmiot na tle ekopoetyki
The article discusses the ecopoetic potential inherent in small lyrical forms which employ a peculiar technique of showing the “picture” of the external world. The poetics of the “silent poems” consists in concealing the presence of the subject and presenting the reader with a bare fragment of reality, which in the analyzed instances involve non-human nature. The author, examining the pieces by Jacek Gutorow, Bartosz Suwiński and Klara Nowakowska, outlines a poetic form in which the equivalence of each element of nature displaces the anthropocentric vision of the world. The study sets out from the old Japanese genre of haiku and Anglo-American imagism. The concept of ecopoetics, suggested by Julia Fiedorczuk and Gerardo Beltrán provide the core context for these deliberations. The paper aims to show the ecopoetic potential of minimalist poems, in which the lyrical subject remains out of sight. The text discusses poetic techniques of drawing a bare picture of reality, which have the capacity to enact a novel, non-anthropocentric approach to non-human nature. The author combines interpretive practice with the concept of ecopoetics and literary genology

Viaggiare e vivere altrove. Sulla condizione del migrante nel paese d’adozione nel romanzo „M” di Ron Kubati
The aim of the article is to present the existential status of a migrant on the basis of Ron Kubati’s novel „M”, and to define the features of the phenomenon of migration. The analysis focuses on two areas. First, it shows the major problems which determine the character’s internal state, namely lack of knowledge about the new environment and the hostility of the local community. Second, it outlines the positive aspects of staying there, highlighting the dominant ones.Kubati’s novel entitled „M”, in which there is no shortage of autobiographical elements, draws on the experience of migration that the author partook in the early 1990s, having left his homeland for Italy. Where the story takes place is unspecified, though the reader is well aware that it is nowhere else but in Italy. The author takes advantage of his own, extensive knowledge and draws a very comprehensive picture of the migrant’s existential position in a foreign land. This paper, comprising two main parts, aims to analyze that position, striving to delineate the nature of the phenomenon of migration. The first part is devoted to the problems that a migrant is forced to confront. Being lost in a new space, the daily experience of dearth of financial means and acts of racism exacerbate the sense of inferiority and lack of belonging. The second part discusses the process of the migrant’s social integration. With time, the knowledge of the city becomes sufficient to move about with ease, while contacts with its native inhabitants are characterized by kindness and openness. The sojourn in a foreign country proves to be a positive experience, enabling the protagonist to achieve numerous goals and entertain an optimistic outlook on the future.

Nowe ruchy religijne a koncepcje zrównoważonego rozwoju: ekoteologia Wiary Bahá’í
The paper examines how contemporary ecological crisis and imbalanced social development are approached in the light of the Bahá’í Faith. Deriving their principal tenets from the paradigm of unity and at the same time disjunction from nature, the Baha’is suggest interesting solution to a range of problems, emphasizing spiritually anchored instruments that they employ. Humility with respect to the environment is an important element in the Baha’i doctrine, which is justified on religious grounds. Furthermore, the author underscores the responsibility of members of the community of the faithful for the entirety of social development, as well as outlines the achievements and proposals – objectives already attained and intended – relating to the mitigation of negative outcomes of the crisis and, ultimately, their utter elimination. Finally, the author enumerates specific forms of collaboration between members of the Faith and organizations as well as governments, undertaken in order to further sustainable development on a global and local scale. The chief aim of this paper is to outline the concept of sustainable development which is integrated into the doctrine of a relatively novel world religion known as the Bahá’í Faith. The study focuses on the description of causes behind the crisis and potential solutions as they are seen by the Baha’is, by means of analysis of their Sacred Writings and more profound insights into the doctrine, in particular where it concerns ecology and social-economic development.
