    Enhancing the Diagnosis of Skin Cancer Using Active Learning and Transfer Learning Techniques

    Nowadays, skin cancer is regarded as one of the deadliest cancers that people can get. Skin cancer can be either benign or malignant, with melanoma being the most surprising of the two types. They include basal and melanoma. The topic of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: "Good Health and Well-Being" is relevant to this work. In particular, the goal of this manuscript is to lower the early mortality rate from non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as cancer, by one-third through treatment and prevention. Treatment for melanoma cancer may benefit from early detection. Numerous systems in use today attest to the significant role that computer vision may play in medical image diagnosis. In this work, an offer methodology for classifying medical photos into benign or malignant tumors using machine learning is proposed. First, we organize and process the image data, and then we train and evaluate the model. The first step of the process is to collect image data from pre-made folders that have been separated into training and testing sets, as well as benign and malignant categories. File paths are combined into data frames for each category and set, which are subsequently labeled appropriately. Active Learning V3 + approach was employed at the inception

    Current  Trends and Hotspots of Machine Learning in Lung Cancer Research: A Bibliometric Analysis

    To examine key areas and emerging trends in Machine learning (ML) research within the field of lung cancer. Methods Research literature on ML in the field of lung cancer was gathered from the Science Citation Index Expanded within the Scopus database. This data was then analyzed for insights on publication years, countries/regions, affiliation, funding sponsor, citations, and keywords. Co-occurrence network graphs were created using the VOSviewer library and CiteSpace tools on the online analysis platform. Result A total of 3,341 pertinent research articles from various nations were selected. From 2023 to 2024, there was a notable rise in the quantity of indexed documents, reaching a zenith of roughly 2000 in 2024. Nevertheless, this expansion was not maintained, and in 2025, the total declined precipitously to around 500. Geographically, India and China dominate research output, with India marginally in the lead. The United States occupies the third position but trails considerably behind the top two, with the United Kingdom in fourth place. Other nations, such as Italy, Canada, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, and Germany, provide relatively fewer documentation. The findings demonstrate significant research effort in Asia, especially in India and China, while North America and Europe also contribute considerably. Disparities in research output can be ascribed to elements such as funding, institutional backing, and national policies that affect publication trends, underscoring the necessity for additional exploration into the political and economic aspects of academic publishing. This research provides a comprehensive analysis of the challenges and prospective applications of machine learning in digital clinical diagnostic systems (DCDS) for the detection of LC. Conclusions The study identified key focus areas and emerging trends in ML for lung cancer diagnosis and indicating that this technology could greatly improve early detection.

    The current research aimed to diagnose the reality of advanced manufacturing and its dimensions (computer-aided manufacturing, computer-aided design, flexible manufacturing systems, material handling techniques) in Badush Cement Factory in Nineveh Governorate, within the framework of a research problem that reflects the availability of advanced manufacturing in the researched factory, to solve this problem a the hypothesis “The researched factory has an appropriate level of advanced manufacturing dimensions” was subjected, and to achieve the research goal a questionnaire form was adopted as a main tool for collecting data from the researched individuals consisting of (184) researchers of different functional levels, all validated responses were subjected to statistical analysis using the SPSS V.24 program.   the most prominent conclusion that our research reached is the availability of dimensions at different levels in the researched factory, some recommendation was proposed to the factory, the most important of which is the need to pay attention to the advanced manufacturing approach and its expressive dimensions, to achieve the desired goals of the organization

    Knowledge infrastructure and its role in exploitative innovation: A survey of the opinions of a sample of teachers at the College of Basic Education at the University of Maysan

    This research aims to explore the role of knowledge management infrastructures with its dimensions (technology, organizational culture, organizational structures, processes) in promoting exploitative innovation (process improvement, cost reduction, quality improvement, incremental development), which focuses on improving and developing existing products and processes rather than innovating entirely new products or services. The research problem was represented by the lack of clarity of the mechanism by which knowledge management infrastructures affect exploitative innovation in Iraqi academic environments, especially in light of the scarcity of applied studies in this field. The research is also based on the assumptions of the absence of correlation and influence between its variables. The research relied on an analytical methodology through case analysis after collecting data from the sample using questionnaires as the main tool and the analytical methodology. The research sample was 147 teachers from the research community of 198 teachers working in the College of Basic Education at the University of Maysan. The most important results reached by the research are the presence of positive and strong correlation and influence between knowledge management infrastructures and its dimensions with exploitative innovation in the organization, the field of research

    The current research seeks to demonstrate the impact of marketing intelligence on the market's rapid response to changes in the marketing environment. Responding to market changes is an important factor in enhancing the organization's position, products, and brand in the minds of customers. Furthermore, it is important for the organization to keep pace with these changes, especially competition, product demand, technological development, and changing customer behavior. These changes are important factors in determining an organization's survival or exit from the market, through its adoption of a marketing intelligence system in its marketing activities. The main research problem lies in clarifying the extent of an organization's ability to respond to market changes through marketing intelligence. The research relied on the descriptive analytical approach, and the hypothetical research plan was constructed based on the hypotheses of the relationship and impact between the two main variables (marketing intelligence and the speed of response to market changes) and their dimensions. A sample of (60) employees working in the field of marketing and technology at Korek National Telecommunications Company was surveyed. The survey was conducted using a questionnaire form, which included a set of items related to the research variables, and a five-point Likert scale. The research reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which were: Marketing intelligence, in all its dimensions, has an impact on identifying market changes, responding quickly to them, and keeping pace with these changes, especially the existing competition between telecommunications companies operating in Iraq. It also became clear that marketing intelligence has a significant impact on the speed of response to market changes. Based on the conclusions, a number of recommendations were presented, the most important of which were: The company under study should take into account existing competition and the noticeable technological progress in light of the rapid changes in the telecommunications sector, in order to meet the needs and desires of its customers. This can be achieved by implementing marketing intelligence activities

    Chemical synthesis and molecular Docking analysis for some novel heterocyclic compounds Derived from 1,2,3-benzotriazin-4-one

    Our contribution entails a number of steps in the preparation of new heterocyclic compounds and some new Schiff bases : a) Ethyl 2-(4-oxobenzo [d][1,2,3] triazin-3 (4H)-yl) propanoate (2) is formed by converting the ester of anthranilate (1) into the diazonium salt, which reacts with ethyl alaninate (newly prepared). b) The ester (2) was transformed into ethyl 2-(4- oxobenzo [d] 1,2,3- triazine - 3 (4H) –yl) propanehydrazide (3) through a reaction with 85% of liquid hydrazine. c) Reacting the product hydrazide (3) with several reagents and some of aldehydes to synthesize some new heterocyclic compounds, hydrazone and Schiff bases  (4–9). In addition, theoretically the results of molecular docking showed that some of these compounds act as Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (3cjf) inhibitors and have biological activity as anticancer capabilities.     Addition of selenium nanoscale to high diets with wheat bran and its effect on Biochemical and characteristics blood and somatic cell count in milk in Awassi ewes

    The study was conducted to investigate the effect of selenium nanoscale in improving the utilization of high wheat bran diet using 15 Awassi ewes weighing 51.58 ± 1.71 kg and their ages ranged between 3-4 years, the ewes were divided into three groups, each group included five ewes, the ewes were fed during the study period, which amounted to 72 days, and the amount of feed provided to ewes was equivalent to 1.5 kg of dry matter per ewe per day. The first group (control) was fed a diet high in barley grains with an ideal percentage of wheat bran, in the second group the ewes were fed a diet that contained less barley with a bran percentage raised to 35% of the components of the diet, while the third group was fed a diet similar to the second diet with daily doses of ewes with 0.3 mg / ewe of nano-selenium. The results indicated that there were no significant differences (P?0.05) for the biochemical blood traits, in Blood standards for a blood picture, there was no significant difference in the number of white blood cells, the percentage of lymphocytes, the mean corpuscular volume, the number of red blood cells, and blood hemoglobin. At the same time, the ratio of granulocytes increased for each of the second and third treatments, the platelet Counts decreased for each of the second and third treatments, and the number of somatic cells was much less in the second period of the study in Bran and selenium groups compared to control

    Impact of Temperature and Culture Media on the Efficacy of local strain of  Trichoderma spp. Against Rhizoctonia solani

        The study results showed that the characteristics of the fungal colony  Rhizoctonia solani  match the known descriptions, as the colony colors range from white to dark brown. Six isolates of  Trichoderma were isolated from potato roots, belonging to four species:  T. hamatum, T. atroviride ,  T. harzianum, and  T. longibrachiatum, and molecular identification was confirmed using ITS1 and ITS4 sequences. Different species of  Trichoderma showed strong antimicrobial activity against the growth of the mycelium of  R. solani , as the antimicrobial percentage ranged between 81.7% and 96.2%, and the strains  T. harzianum  BN3 and  T. atroviride  BN2 recorded the highest antimicrobial percentages. Trichoderma culture filtrate  also showed the ability to inhibit the radial growth of R. solani by percentages ranging between 53.7% and 67.4%. The study also showed that T. harzianum BN3 strain was superior in colony growth on different media, its ability to lower pH, and its ability to produce a greater number of spores compared to other species. T. harzianum BN3 strain had the highest biomass and largest colony area on different media (PDA, Czapek-Dox Agar, YEA) and at different temperatures (25, 15, 10 °C), which highlights its high effectiveness in different environmental conditions

    Distributional Efficiency and Optimality of Production Resources for Yellow Corn in Nineveh Province: A Case Study of Ba'aj District for the 2023 Fall Season

    This research aimed to estimate the distribution efficiency and optimality of productive resources for yellow corn (autumn crop) in Nineveh Governorate, specifically in Al-Ba'aj district, for the 2023 production season. A random sample of 75 farmers was selected, and data related to production and productive resources were collected, including (cultivated area (x1), seed quantity (x2), fertilizers (x3), human labor (x4), machinery (x5), and irrigation hours (x6)). Using quantitative analysis methods and some mathematical indicators, the production function and distribution efficiency were estimated. The double logarithmic function was chosen as the best model to represent the relationship between the studied variables.The analysis results indicated that the distribution efficiency for some productive resources (x4, x3, x2) was less than one, meaning that the added cost exceeds the added return, indicating waste in resource use and the need to reduce the use of these productive resources. In contrast, the distribution efficiency for resources (x6, x5) was greater than one, meaning that the added return exceeds the added cost, which necessitates increased use of these economic resources.The quantities of productive resources required to achieve the optimal production size per dunam were (6.176, 85.105, 3.308, 2.118, 12.84) for resources (x6, x5, x4, x3, x2) respectively, which exceed the actual quantities used.     Numerical Simulation of the Effect of Rounded Edge Cylinders on Drag Coefficient

    This work aims to investigate the influence of the presence of three cylinders with rounded edges on the drag coefficient. Three heated cylinders, whose shapes varied from triangle to circle, were placed in a 2-dimensional horizontal channel with laminar, steady flow. The effect of five different Reynolds numbers (Re = 100, 200, 400, 800, and 1200) and three vertical distances (ST = 1.5D, 2D, and 3D) has been studied. A constant heat flux (q'' = 5000 W/m2) subjected to the cylinders’ walls and the rounded corners radii of the triangular cylinders was (1 mm, 1.6667 mm). The finite volume method is used to solve the governing equations (ANSYS FLUENT 2022 R2). It was observed that the coefficient of drag decreases as the Re increases and decreases with decreasing longitudinal distance. The drag coefficient decreased from (37.01%) to (72.3%) when the Reynolds number increased from (100) to (1200) at ST = 3D and from (33.1%) to (62.4%) at ST = 1.5D.
