    Multiple Life Cycle and its Impact on Enhancing the Sustainability of Industrial Products / a Field Study in the Babylon Battery Factory

    The current research seeks to determine the impact of the multiple life cycle in enhancing the sustainability of industrial products within the field side represented by the Babylon battery factory affiliated to the General Company for the Automotive and Equipment Industry, To achieve the goal of the research, a hypothetical research model was built in light of the formulation of the research hypotheses represented in the first hypothesis: there is no significant statistically significant correlation between the multiple life cycle strategies (combined and individually) and the sustainability of the product in the factory under study, The second hypothesis: there is no effect without statistical significance for multiple life cycle strategies (combined and individually) in product sustainability in the factory under search. A set of conclusions has been reached, the most important of which is that there is a significant correlation and a varying level of impact for each of the various life cycle strategies on the sustainability of the product combined within the field aspect under consideration. Depending on the conclusions reached by the research, a number of recommendations were presented that are consistent with these conclusions, the most important of which is supposed to the management of the factory under search to pay greater attention to the entrance of the multiple life cycle and that for the provisions of closing the cycle of material flow, as well as to make full use of the application of this entrance In the factory under search

    The objective of the research was to determine the extent to which the strategic spectrum is employed in the pharmaceutical industries marketing outlets. The warehouses of medicines and medical supplies operating in the city of Mosul were a research field through which data were collected and obtained from the research sample, who numbered (33) individuals working in the researched drug stores. The questionnaire was then used as a main tool for collecting the required data from the research sample, and based on a set of statistical methods, the data were analyzed and hypotheses tested, using the statistical software (SPSS). The competition taking place among them, and the research presented a set of proposals, the first of which is the necessity of making the strategic spectrum an entry point and an approach in diversifying business models that the researched assets can adopt in their quest to develop their position in the market.   &nbsp

    The Role of Soft Skills in High Performance Organizations: An Exploratory Study of the Opinions of a Sample of Employees in Tourism Companies

    The aim of the research is to determine the correlation and influence relationships between the independent variable (soft skills) and its dimensions represented by (communication, cooperation and teamwork, crisis management, initiative, time management) in the dependent variable (high performance organizations) and its dimensions represented by (leadership, strategy, (Individuals and roles, the external environment). The research relied on the analytical descriptive approach in analyzing the data, and the questionnaire form was used as a main tool for the study in data collection, and (40) forms were distributed to workers in tourism companies in 35 forms were retrieved, and after examining the forms it was found that 4 Forms not valid for analysis, and the number of valid forms for analysis became 31. The study reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which are the varying values ??of the correlation coefficient between each dimension of the dimensions of high performance organizations and between soft skills, as we find that the dimension (strategy) has obtained the highest value of the correlation coefficient with soft tasks compared to other dimensions (leadership, individuals and roles). The study concluded its endeavor with a number of proposals, the most important of which are: working on continuous training for workers to deepen their awareness of the importance of soft skills to reach the organization with high performance and conducting more studies to serve Iraqi organizations, and the researchers used the statistical program (SPSS.V24) to analyze data and draw conclusions. &nbsp

    Diagnosing the dimensions of wise leadership among working leaders in the Mosul Municipality

         The current study aims to reveal the availability of dimensions of wise leadership among the leaders working in the Directorate of Municipality of Mosul. In order to achieve what it aimed at, the study adopted the (descriptive-analytical) approach by presenting the theoretical intellectual frameworks, processing the data obtained from the questionnaire, as the main study tool, and analyzing and then interpreting it. after the study community was defined in a number of formations affiliated to the Directorate of Municipality of Mosul, and a random sample was selected, the size of which was (338) individuals, as a representative sample of its community of (2320) individuals, The study used a set of statistical tools and methods to analyze the response of the respondents, which included (the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, response rate), through the use of the statistical packages represented by. (SPSS V.26). The study reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which is the availability of wise leadership dimensions in a good degree in the researched organization, from the point of view of its employees. Giving workers the opportunity to express opinions and participate in decision-making processes, adopting transparency and ensuring the free flow of information and easy access for individuals

    Effect of H. pylori infection on incidence of hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism in men and women

    There are some controversial studies that associate Helicobacter pylori infection with autoimmune thyroid disease (AITD). The study aimed to evaluate the effect of H. pylori infection on the development of thyroid diseases, so the study was carried out on 90 patients (male and female) with thyroid disorders, and 50 healthy individuals as a control group. Venous blood samples were drawn from all participants, and serum was obtained after centrifugation and kept in labeled Eppendorf tubes then stored at -20°C till used in biochemical and immunological assays including estimation of anti-H. pylori IgG and Anti-cag-A IgG titer by ELISA method,  while assessment of  Tri-iodothyronine (T3), tetra iodothyroixine (T4), and thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) by (e601 Cobas) automated immunoassay analyzer. The result recorded a significant decrease in TSH concentration (P < 0.05) in the hyperthyroidism group and a significant increase in TSH concentration (P < 0.05) in hypothyroidism patients whereas the concentration of T4 and T3 recorded a significant increase (P < 0.05) in hyperthyroidism group while a significant decrease in T4 and T3 concentrations (P < 0.05) occur in hypothyroidism patients when compared with control (Euthyroidism) group. On the other hand, there is a significant increase (p <0.05)in the titer of H.pylori IgG and the titer of anti-cag IgG in both females and males of hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism groups in comparison to control Euthyroidism group. The highest prevalence of H.pylori IgG positive ( 74.5%) occurs hypothyroidism group followed by (71.4%) for hyperthyroidism patients while (56%) occurs in the control group (Euthyroidism). In conclusion, our findings indicated that H.pylori infection is more susceptible in thyroid disorder patients, and anti –Helicobacter pylori IgG antibodies distribution among hypothyroidism is greater than in other groups

    Assessment of Water Quality of House Water using Water Pollution Index in Mosul City

     The current study included an assessment of the pollution index (WPI) for house waste water collected in five sites in Mosul city, depending on some physical and chemical analyzes of twelve samples of water from these sites distributed on both sides of the right and left in Mosul city for seven months, starting from August 2022 until February of 2023, which was collected a sample from each month and analyzed in a laboratory to evaluate the characteristics of this water, For Chemical Oxygen demand, Biological Oxygen demand, sodium, Phosphates, sulfates, nitrates, chlorides, turbidity PH, magnesium, calcium. The results indicated that the values of the water pollution Index (WPI) were between (1.0-2.0) in sites 1, 3, 4, and 5. Thus, the water of the studied sites is of Moderately polluted (???), suitable effect casting in the river, while WPI values are in Location 2 was less than 1.0 of pure type (??)

    ABSTRACT This study was aimed to investigate the effects of Melatonin at )10mg/kg) on liver function enzymes AST,ALT,ALP activity and determination the inflammatory marker CRP activity and total counting of WBC on rats exposed to anticancer drugs Gemcitabine, and protective effects of melatonin in the liver tissue.Materials and Methods: sixty four adult male albino rats were used in this study, weighing (250-350) gm at temperature 22±20C , The animals were feeding and drinking water as needed . the animals were divided into 5 main groups as follow : Group A( Control group n=8 ) given a daily D.W. Group B:(melatonin group n=8)given a daily melatonin 10mg/kg/orally. Group C (Gemcitabine n=16) this group was divided into two group according to Gemcitabine dose (25 and 50 mg/kg). Group D (protective group n=16): this group was divided into two group according to Gemcitabine dose (25 and 50 mg/kg ) together with given a daily melatonin in dose (10mg /kg) orally.Group E (protective and treatment group n=16) : this group was divided into two group according to Gemcitabine dose (25 and 50 mg/kg ). This group was given a daily melatonin in dose (10mg /kg) orally as a treatment. The results showed that melatonin reduced the activity of AST, ALT enzymes compare with gemcitabine treated groups, While increased the activity of ALP in A, B groups compare with gemcitabine treated groups , that induced by chemotherapy drug ,While decreased the activity of CRP inflammatory marker in A, B groups compare with another groups that treated with anticancer drug. Melatonin given protective effect on liver enzymes and tissues from damaged that happened by Gemcitabine in two different dose (25,50 mg/kg )

    Evaluation of the efficiency of the aqueous and alcoholic extract of Propolis in reducing the incidence of Nosema cerana disease on Apis mellifera honey bees

    Abstract The results of the study showed the superiority of the alcoholic extract of propolis in reducing the infection of Nosema on honey bees to the lowest levels, as it reduced the number of spores to the lowest possible number, especially when using treatment with protein feeding, with an average of 214.20 spores / bee, which reflected positively on the physiological and vital characteristics of the bee's body (age of the bee). Rectal acidity, moisture content of the bee's body, and fat content of the bee's body) which these characteristics are considered as evidence of the health of the bee's body, with averages of (50.10 days, PH 4.95, 64.52%, and 81.60%), respectively, which did not differ significantly from the percentages of most of the above traits. The male of the extract, but when adding the treatment with sugary nutrition, followed it in reducing the infection rate when using the treatment with the aqueous extract, which achieved good and satisfactory results, while the infection was high and the coefficients values were low in the comparison treatment, and the highest average number of spores was 2988.70 spores / bee, which was reflected negatively on the physiological characteristics, vitality, activity, and health of honey bees, which amounted to (21.10 days, PH 5.85, 89.74%, and 5.95%), respectiv

    The current study was conducted in the laboratories of the Plant Protection Department/College of Agriculture and Forestry/University of Mosul during the year 2019-2020. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of the Iraqi isolate of the biological control fungi Beauveria bassian and Metarhizium anisopliaeas chemical pesticides alternatives in controlling different stages of the greater wax moth Galleria mellonella. The results of the biological effect of the fungi Beauveria bassiana and Metarhizium anisopliae on the greater wax moth life stages showed that the cumulative mortality of eggs increased gradually with increasing concentration used. However, Beauveria bassiana was more efficient in achieving higher mortality rates than M. anisopliae in general. The highest cumulative mortality rate for eggs was at the highest concentration (7.5g/l) for both fungi. On the other hand, it was found that the highest mortality rate in wax moth larvae was inB. bassianacombined treatmentwhere spraying the larvae and the feed. The third and fourth larval instars were more sensitive than the sixth and seventh larval instars, which were not affected by the lower concentrations of the pesticide (2.5 and 5 g/L), regardless of pesticide type. The results also showed that the mortality rate in all phases increases with the increase in the post-treatment period. The results of the study indicated the superiority of B. bassiana in all treatments, concentrations and periods after treatment and led to the highest mortality rate compared with using M. anisopliae. The cumulative mortality rate in the greater wax moth was directly proportional to the increase in treatment methods and the increase in concentration and the time period after treatment
