Load Frequency Control With Renewable Energy Sources Using Practical Swarm Optimization Based On PID

    Get PDF
Future competitive solutions for the production of electricity may be provided by emerging renewable energy sources (RESs) technologies as wind, solar photovoltaic, and solar thermal power systems. In this study, simulation tests have been conducted on autonomous hybrid generating systems(HGSs) made up of diesel engine generators (Degs), fuel cells (FCs), wind turbine generators (Wpg), solar photovoltaic generators (Pvpg), battery energy storage systems (Bess), and flywheels (Fess). The abrupt fluctuations in load, generation, or both cause the power system's frequency to vary. PID controller tuning using particle swarm optimization (PSO) is used for the optimization of controllers’ gains of the proposed hybrid systems. The proposed method is compared with a genetic algorithm (GA) and a traditional PID controller. To test the proposed controller, three different scenarios were used: first, changing the load's value with a fixed value over a set period of time; second, changing the load's value with variable values; and third, changing the load's value with a variable value while changing the system parameters. The simulation results reveal that the suggested controller performs better and is more resilient against load and generational disruptions by reducing the maximum overshoot value and settling time by 70% and 65%, respectively, and by 14.2% and 5% when compared to a GA-PID control

Web Server Based Data Monitoring System of PV Panels Using S7-1200 PLC

    Get PDF
This This paper presents the design and implementation of a solar panel data monitoring system using a Web Server as a real-time operating system. The system is built via the Siemens S7-1200 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and programmed using TIA (Totally Integrated Automation) Portal V17 software. This approach enables real-time data collection and visualization of essential parameters such as voltage, current, power output, temperature, irradiance, and environmental conditions. The S7-1200 PLC serves as the central control unit, interfacing with the PV panels and gathering data. The acquired data is then transmitted to a web server, which hosts a user-friendly interface accessible through web browsers. Users can remotely monitor the performance of PV panels, track historical data trends, and receive alerts in case of anomalies. This web server-based system offers a convenient and efficient solution for effective PV panel management, enabling users to optimize energy production, detect issues promptly, and make informed decisions for maintenance and operational improvements

Therefore, this research aims to use the green innovation approach to promote sustainable manufacturing, in light of the field problem represented by the weakness of the manufacturing approach aimed at meeting environmental requirements represented by sustainable manufacturing as a window that qualifies it to stay and continue in the competitive market, with the aim of promoting the dimensions of green innovation in the practices of the researched company, the Krongi group of companies. The importance of the research is reflected in the questions raised, one of the most important of which is: what is the level of the impact of green innovation on sustainable manufacturing in the researched company? Data was collected through a survey from a random sample of 92 managers and employees of Krongi Company for carbonated beverages, mineral water, and juices in Kirkuk. The response rate was (96.84%) with 92 survey forms that were statistically analyzed using SPSS Ver-28. Several conclusions were reached, the most important of which was the validity of the assumptions included in the research through verifying the existence of a significant correlation between the research variables and the presence of a significant positive effect of green innovation and its dimensions on sustainable manufacturing, which reflects the interest of the researched company in adopting these dimensions and the compatibility of the nature of the company's work and research variables. Several proposals were presented, the most important of which are disseminating the concepts of green innovation and sustainable manufacturing and their procedures among individuals working in the researched company, paying greater attention to embracing green innovation through searching for new and innovative technologies and methods that can help reduce waste, preserve resources, and reduce the environmental impact of manufacturing processes in the researched company, which enables companies to improve their competitiveness, reduce operating costs, and benefit from markets

A field experiment was conducted In the winter season for the Rashidieh (1) site for local variety s Peas Pisum sativum L. (2021-2022) using two factors, The first factor is distances which (25,50,75), The second factor is pesticide concentrations which (750, 1,500 and 3,000 ml/ha) in addition to comparator control , Plants were randomly selected with three previous applications. the seeds of the local cultivar the data was analyzed according to the factorial experiments system using R.C.B.D significantly different treatments were distinguished with different letters .The most important results can be summarized as follow : From, the effect table of the three planting distances 25, 50 and 75 cm, it was found that there were no differences in the number of airy and thin leaves, leaves and their weight, and yield characteristics. Jungle eradication, As for the weight of the pod, seed yield and dry weight, it was found that the control treatment gave the least results, and the reason may be due to the strength of competition that occurs between the crop and its accompanying weeds in the field. control gave the highest number of broad and thin bushes and their dry weights in the three distances. As for plant height and pod length characteristic, there were no significant differences.

(Lactobacillus plantarum  ?Lactobacillus acidophilus).Food and water are increasingly contaminated with heavy metals due to environmental pollution. Zinc is a heavy metal that is harmful to humans and is present in soil, water, air, and food, especially milk. Ninety samples of cow's milk from different areas exposed to pollution within the borders of Nineveh Governorate were collected . The areas were divided into three ; viz. industrial facilities, high traffic and intensive agricultural activities. The current study aimed at investigating the contamination of cow's milk samples collected from the previously mentioned study areas with some types of heavy metals such as zinc by measuring their concentrations and comparing them with the permissible limits, which were determined by the Food Organization and the World health Organization. Then, the study evaluated the ability of some genus lactic of acid bacteria to reduce the concentrations of these minerals in the milk samples. For this purpose, a commercial and local isolation was used that contained various types such as (Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus acidophilus)

STUDYING OF DUAL DEEP PERIOCULAR PARTS FOR PERSONS RECOGNITION

    Get PDF
Recently, periocular region has been employed in recognitions and it can be so effective especially in wearing a face mask as happened during the Coronavirus pandemic. In this study, a new method is proposed for recognizing persons based on their perioculars. It is named the Dual Deep Periocular Parts (DDPP). In this method, two deep learning networks are employed, where each network is determined for a certain periocular side (right or left). They are termed the Deep Network for the Right Periocular (DNRP) and Deep Network for the Left Periocular (DNLP). Both the DNRP and DNLP are fused together to construct the proposed DDPP approach. Also in this paper, a database called the Northern Technical University Periocular Database (NTUPD) is collected from scratch. Persons recognition based on the proposed periocular approach shows further performance enhancements as we obtained results of accuracy that reached 98.7% and Equal Error Rate (EER) 1.3%

The General Properties of Solar Cells Generations -Quantum Dot as Study Case

    Get PDF
Quantum dot solar cells are an important class of solar cells of the third generation because of their optoelectronic characteristics suitable for photovoltaic response because of quantum confinement effect. Quantum dot structured materials are characterized by having a tunable bandgap as a result of a size change in addition to create an intermediate band. Thus, the quantum dots more thoroughly absorb the sun spectrum, and as a result, the solar cell's effectiveness is increased. Quantum dot solar cells' importance lies in increasing the efficiency through an increase in the generation of electron-hole pairs as a result of a single photon being absorbed, in other words several exciton generations. In this review, the generations of solar cells, the existing types and the materials used in each generation will be discussed, as a result of a single additionally to the qualities of quantum dot solar cells and the materials of this type
