The Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) stands as one of the earliest and most pervasive optimization challenges, aiming to streamline the salesman's travel route, ensuring efficiency and avoiding redundancy. With an extensive number of cities to visit and the requirement to find the shortest route, solving the TSP becomes computationally daunting. To tackle this, various approaches are explored, including the genetic algorithm. This study employs a modified genetic algorithm, inspired by biological processes such as population dynamics, crossover, mutation, and natural selection. Introducing a novel intersection approach amalgamating sliding flipping and swapping methods, the study investigates towns with populations ranging from (10,50) to (150,200) across two scenarios. In the first scenario, experiments were conducted with a fixed iterations (10000) and a population is (150), resulting in execution times of (20.00 s), (55.14) s, (37.11 s), and (120.14 s) when choose cities (100,200,10,20), respectively. The other scenario the population sizes of (50) or (100) and iteration numbers of (1000) or (500) were explored. The times needed for solution determination were (01.20 s),( 02.30 s), (02.74 s), and (17.15 s) for cities (10,20,100,200), in accordance. Notably, outcomes indicate a proportional relationship between iteration, population, and the number of cities. When integrating the three techniques, a shorter and faster path is achieved compared to the standard genetic algorithm outcome

Two studies were conducted to examine the impact of in-ovo injection and dietary addition of L-carnitine (LC) on the growth and egg laying traits of three lines of local quails: desert, brown, and white. The first experiment involved 480 fertile quail eggs were utilized, on the 14th day of incubation, live embryos inside the eggs were injected in the amniotic fluid with varying doses of L-carnitine (0, 4, 8, and 12 mg dissolved in 100 L of a commercial diluent). In the second experiment, 480 one-day-old, unsexed quail chicks were divided into four experimental treatments included: The first group was given the basal diet (control), while the other groups were provided with the basal diet supplemented with different levels of L-carnitine (150, 350, and 500 mg/kg). The evaluation of statistics indicated that quail lines, in-ovo injection, and dietary supplementation with L-carnitine significantly (p?0.01) influenced all the studied traits, except for the first egg weight. The interaction between quail line and in-ovo injection treatments was only significant at age of maturity. Conversely, the interaction between the quail line and the dietary supplementation had a significant impact on feed intake, feed conversion ratio, and age at maturity. According to the present results, it can be established that both in ovo injection and dietary supplementation of L-carnitine significantly influenced the productive characteristics traits of quails. In particular, the study revealed that a high in- ovo injection dose of 4 mg/100 µL of diluent and a feed supplement at 350 mg/kg feed resulted in improved production efficiency for quail chicks, except for the initial egg weight, there was no statistically significant association between the feed addition and in-ovo injection treatments

    Get PDF
The manufacturing of long-section pipes is expensive and demands sophisticated procedures, requiring the assembly of smaller pipes by welding. Welding is essential in the oil and gas sectors and several other industries. A welding procedure was executed on two ASTM A106 grade B pipes utilizing GTAW and SMAW techniques for four layers. Testing identified a transverse crack in a welded joint (Test No-01A) at site 20, measuring 4 mm. A PMI test established the chemical composition of the weld joint. A key factor contributing to cracks is the temperature disparity between the weld zone and the base metal. To alleviate this, the joints were warmed prior to welding, The results showed that preheating the metal before the welding process reduces or prevents the occurrence of cracks by minimizing the temperature gradient between the base metal and the welding temperature. As the PMI test findings revealed discrepancies in the chemical composition of the welded joints prior to and subsequent to welding, attributable to chemical reactions throughout the operation. These findings underscore the influence of temperature and chemical alterations on weld integrity.
