Abstract: Despite its no former sociological education background and professional tradition, Mongolia was greatly influenced by the emergence of sociology in the Soviet Union in the 1960s as it was following the model of the Soviet Union. This led to the establishment of Mongolia’s first social science research institutes; under the leadership of Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party (MPRP), Concrete Research Committee under the Party Committee of Ulaanbaatar in 1966, Philosophy, Sociology and Legal Study Department at the Institute of History of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, in 1967 and the Student Training and Ideological Laboratory at the National University of Mongolia in 1971 were formed respectively. The article examines the formation of the Concrete Research Council, the scientists working there and the researches conducted. The council, however, conducted the first political sociological survey for ideological purposes for the party use. This gradually contributed to the institutionalization and development of Marxist Sociology in Mongolia

Abstract: COVID-19 has profoundly affected life of all Mongolians, from basic human rights to their daily life, education, employment, and social and economic well-being. Pandemic related new and old legal regulations are implemented inadequately. The first response was a strict lockdown, which has continued too long without a proper policy supporting the economy. Last two years schools and kindergartens were closed. Remote learning without access to internet and rising domestic violence have affected well-being of many children and women. The country is already in the spike of the coronavirus infection however, a comprehensive COVID-19 socio-economic policy was launched only after 14 month since the first lockdown. The whole emergency cycle is not well addressed in response actions. Mongolia needs more recovery efforts with a good balance in human rights and rule of laws, and inclusive and participatory policymaking that make communities resilient to the next phase of this pandemic

As they run their animal husbandry and live and work, they have taught their children customs, etiquette, way of life, and life skills through their actions, work, and animal husbandry. However, social and economic changes, urbanization, industrialization, and scientific and technological developments have brought about changes in the process of raising and educating children, and society has different requirements for children’s upbringing and discipline, and they have different values and expectations

Abstract: By helping social norms to be internalized, values are indirectly sources of relationship behavior. Likewise, history books have different meanings that shape values and influence social life. It seems important to reevaluate the role of values in social life in a society which is extremely distinguishable in history books. An adaptation of Gavrilyuk’s value survey was used. Correlation analysis revealed significant differences between Mongolian students in value types and in history books. Altogether, it seems most important to investigate more detailed on the historical and social influences that shape individual and communal identities with regard to questions of history books and values. Conclusion of the secret history of the Mongols correlates to -family (r=.3) significantly -kindness, sustainability, integrity, compassion (r=0.2) weakly

The paper presents the latest geochronological and geochemical results on alkali granites of the Shiveengol complex, a Mesozoic alkali granitoid found of the Lake Fold System, in Western Mongolia. The granitoids are characterized by geochemical enrichment in large-ion lithophile elements (LILE) such as Rb, Nd, Th and U, and depletion in high-field strength elements (HFSE) such as Sr, Zr and Ti. Geochemically, it reveals similarities with A-type granites formed within plate settings. U–Pb dating results show that the absolute age of the syenite is 210.6±2.4 Ma, which is Late Triassic
