The Essence of Restorative Justice Based on the Indonesian National Police Regulation Number 8 of 2021 on the Handling of Criminal Acts Based on Restorative Justice
Police Regulation Number 8 of 2021 on Handling Crimes Based on Restorative Justice aims to resolve criminal cases through peaceful agreements. However, its implementation faces several potential problems, such as perpetrators who repeat their actions, which causes the impact of the deterrent effect not to be achieved. In addition, there is a risk of extortion by the victim against the perpetrator in the peace agreement process and the absence of legal rules governing both parties not to renege on the agreement. Another factor is the difference in understanding among investigators and investigators, which makes the application of Police Regulation Number 8 of 2021 subjective. This research aims to analyze the nature, implementation, and regulation of criminal acts based on restorative justice with legal certainty and justice within the Indonesian National Police. The method used is normative legal research with the support of empirical juridical research, as well as statute approach, conceptual approach, and case approach. The results show that the nature of restorative justice is an effort to restore the original state through a process that involves all parties involved in a particular criminal offense to jointly find a harmonious solution. Restorative justice is applied in various types of criminal offenses, including fraud, embezzlement, maltreatment, and murder, which involve people's lives. To increase the effectiveness of the implementation of this principle, structured collaboration between the courts, police, prosecutors' office, and correctional institutions is necessary. This research suggests two policies: first, improving the Standard Operating Procedure of Police Regulation Number 8 of 2021 by adding guidelines for procedures for handling criminal offenses using a restorative justice approach; second, drafting a special law regulating restorative justice as a guide for all law enforcement officials
The Impact of Inflation and Interest Rates on Economic Growth in Southeast Asia: A Panel Data Analysis
Economic growth in Southeast Asia is influenced by a variety of macroeconomic variables, with inflation and interest rates being two of the most crucial. This study aims to examine the impact of inflation and interest rates on the economic growth (measured by GDP) of ten Southeast Asian countries from 2007 to 2023. Using a panel data regression approach, the analysis applies several econometric models including Pooled OLS, Fixed Effects Model, Random Effects Model, and spatial econometric models (Spatial Autoregressive Model/SAR and Spatial Error Model/SEM) to determine the most suitable model for the data. The results show that interest rates have a significant negative effect on GDP growth, suggesting that higher interest rates tend to reduce economic activity in the region. Inflation, while showing a weaker relationship, also negatively affects GDP in most models. Spatial analysis further reveals the presence of spatial dependence among Southeast Asia countries, indicating that the economic performance of one country is not isolated but affected by its neighbors. Among the models tested, the Spatial Error Model (SEM) is found to be the best fit based on statistical criteria, highlighting the importance of unobserved regional factors and spatial spillover effects. Policy implications include the need for coordinated regional monetary policies, maintaining inflation within manageable limits, and enhancing economic cooperation among Southeast Asia nations. While the R-squared values are relatively low, the statistical significance of the core variables underscores their relevance. This study contributes to the broader understanding of macroeconomic management and regional economic integration in Southeast Asia

Data were examined utilizing Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results demonstrate that employer branding positively influences employee engagement and affective commitment. Employee engagement substantially affects talent retention, although affective commitment does not directly influence it. Furthermore, employee engagement is established as a crucial mediator in the correlation between company branding and talent retention, although affective commitment does not function as a significant mediating variable. This study underscores that effective employer branding must prioritize the enhancement of employee engagement to bolster talent retention within higher education institutions. Hubungan Latar Belakang Pendidikan PAUD terhadap Kepuasan Kerja Guru
This study aims to analyze the relationship between teacher educational background and the level of job satisfaction of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) teachers, as well as to compare the level of job satisfaction between teachers with linear and non-linear educational backgrounds. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlational and comparative design. The research subjects consisted of twenty PAUD teachers at Kindergarten X and Kindergarten Y Jakarta. Data were collected using the Teacher Job Satisfaction Questionnaire (TJSQ) which covers four factors of job satisfaction, namely individual factors, work environment, work, and outside of school. The results of the analysis showed that correlationally there was no significant relationship between educational background and job satisfaction of PAUD teachers. However, the results of the comparative analysis revealed a significant difference in the level of job satisfaction between teachers with linear educational backgrounds (bachelor of education) and teachers with non-linear backgrounds, where teachers with linear educational backgrounds showed a higher level of job satisfaction. This finding indicates that educational background does not function as a direct predictor of job satisfaction correlationally, but plays a role in differentiating the level of job satisfaction between groups of teachers. This research provides an empirical contribution in enriching the study of job satisfaction of PAUD teachers by emphasizing the importance of differentiating correlational and comparative analysis approaches in interpreting the influence of educational background, as well as being the basis for consideration in developing recruitment policies and professional development of PAUD teachers
