Effect of Media Channels, Media Content, Word of Mouth on Negative Consumer Well-Being with Self-Regulation, Fear of Missing Out and Panic Buying as Mediation Variables
The widespread phenomenon of panic buying is often influenced by psychological mechanisms involving self regulation, Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), and social influences. This study aims to analyze the impact of self regulation and FoMO on panic buying behavior and the negative effects of both on consumer well-being. The Labubu keychain, a product that went viral on social media, serves as a case study to illustrate this phenomenon. Most consumers feel compelled to make impulsive purchases due to product scarcity exacerbated by FoMO. Based on the theoretical model, self-regulation acts as a mechanism to mitigate the negative effects of FoMO, reducing the likelihood of impulsive purchases. This research also highlights the importance of a deeper understanding of these psychological mechanisms for marketers and policymakers, in order to promote more thoughtful and sustainable purchasing behaviors

Reevaluating Brand Power: The Dominant Influence of Word of Mouth and Price in Health Product Purchases
The rising prevalence of diabetes in Indonesia has increased the demand for low-calorie sweetener products such as Diabetasol. However, despite ranking second in the Top Brand Index, its market share has declined over the past five years. This study aims to analyze the influence of brand image, price, and word of mouth on Diabetasol purchase decisions, with purchase intention as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through a structured questionnaire survey among members of the Indonesian Diabetes Association (PERSADIA) and analyzed using multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and the Sobel test. The results indicate that, simultaneously, the three independent variables significantly affect both purchase intention and purchase decisions. Only price and word of mouth directly affect both dependent variables; brand image has no significant direct impact. Purchase intention was found to mediate the influence of price and word of mouth on purchase decisions. These findings, analyzed based on consumer behavior and marketing communication theories, highlight the importance of pricing strategies aligned with perceived value and leveraging consumer testimonials to strengthen purchase decisions
Do ESG Score, Firm Value, and Gender Diversity Enhance Corporate Performance? Evidence from Emerging Asia-Pacific Industrial Firms
This study investigates the effect of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) score, firm value, and gender diversity on corporate performance, measured by Return on Assets (ROA), in the industrial sector of emerging Asia-Pacific markets. Using a sample of publicly listed companies, the research aims to provide empirical evidence on how sustainability practices, market valuation, and board diversity contribute to financial performance. ESG scores are applied as a proxy for corporate sustainability, while firm value reflects investorsโ perception of growth potential, and gender diversity is considered an indicator of inclusivity in corporate governance. The study employs quantitative analysis to examine the relationships among these variables. The findings are expected to demonstrate whether ESG initiatives and gender diversity complement firm value in driving profitability. This research contributes to the growing literature on sustainable finance by highlighting the role of non-financial factors in shaping firm performance in emerging markets. The results provide insights for managers, policymakers, and investors regarding the strategic importance of ESG and diversity in achieving long-term competitiveness

Managerial Ability and Carbon Emission Disclosure: Do CEOs Care About This Matter in Indonesia?
ABSTRACT
This study examines the relationship between entity managerial capability and carbon emission disclosure of publicly listed companies on the Indonesian Stock Exchange, covering the years 2019โ2023. Managerial capability is measured using data envelopment analysis (DEA) at the firm level as a decision-making unit using the Demerjian et al. (2012) model, while carbon emission disclosure uses a score for carbon emission disclosure. A final set of 301 firm-year observations was obtained by using a purposive sampling method and the available carbon emission disclosure data. Data analysis using multiple linear regression found evidence contradicting the study's hypothesis, where CEO managerial capability is negatively related to carbon emission disclosure for publicly listed companies in Indonesia. This study's findings imply that carbon emission disclosure, which is part of the global temperature reduction efforts outlined in the 2015 Paris Agreement and part of the Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) program promoted by regulators, is still not a priority for publicly listed companies in Indonesia
The Impact of Market Orientation and Pricing Strategy on Sustainable Business Performance: A Case Study of Tour & Travel Businesses
This study is motivated by the importance of market understanding in improving the competitiveness of tour & travel businesses, especially in the digital era where business actors must adapt to consumer needs. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of market orientation on business performance mediated by price strategy in tour & travel businesses in the Jabodetabek area. This research is a replication of a previous study conducted in the hotel sector, with adjustments made to the tour & travel industry context. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. Primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 138 tour & travel business owners in the Jabodetabek area. Data analysis was carried out using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the help of SmartPLS version 4.1.1.2. The results show that market orientation does not have a direct significant effect on business performance. However, market orientation has a significant effect on price strategy, and price strategy significantly affects business performance. In addition, price strategy fully mediates the relationship between market orientation and business performance. The conclusion of this study indicates that market understanding needs to be translated into an appropriate pricing strategy in order to have a real impact on improving business performance
Pengaruh Manipulasi Foto Instagram terhadap Body-Image Wanita Emerging Adult dan Frekuensi Perbandingan Sosial sebagai Kovariat
This experimental study examined the impact of manipulated Instagram photos on body image among Indonesian emerging adult women, with social comparison frequency included as a covariate. A total of 62 women aged 18โ29 were randomly assigned to view either unedited or digitally edited influencer photos. Body image was assessed using the Multidimensional Body-Self Relations QuestionnaireโAppearance Scale (MBSRQ-AS), while appearance-based social comparison frequency was measured using a single-item Likert scale. The results showed no significant differences in body image scores between the edited and unedited photo groups. However, social comparison frequency significantly influenced body image across multiple dimensions. The use of a single-item measure limited the scope of the construct, capturing only comparison frequency and omitting other psychological aspects such as directionality or emotional response. These findings suggest that frequent comparison behavior may play a more substantial role in shaping body image than exposure to manipulated visuals alone. The study highlights the importance of accounting for individual tendencies when evaluating media effects and encourages further research that integrates psychological, cultural, and technological factors to better understand body image in the digital age. Citra tubuh diukur menggunakan instrumen Multidimensional Body-Self Relations QuestionnaireโAppearance Scale (MBSRQ-AS), sedangkan frekuensi perbandingan sosial berbasis penampilan diukur dengan satu butir skala Likert. ย
