Graphic Design for Micro, Small, & Medium-sized Enterprises in Pahlawan Ekonomi Nusantara 2024
Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) are pivotal to Indonesia’s economy, contributing significantly to GDP and employment. In response to their importance, the Indonesian government has launched initiatives like Pahlawan Ekonomi Nusantara (PENA) to support MSMEs. This paper focuses on the author’s participation in two design projects under PENA: Jajanan Pasar Dedi Triadi and Warung Lutpia.
Methodologically, the authors follow structured design processes, engaging closely with MSME owners in pre-visual and visual stages to address their specific needs effectively. The outcomes include refreshed identities for Jajanan Pasar Dedi Triadi and Warung Lutpia, incorporating elements symbolizing product freshness, community warmth, and energetic appeal. Despite encountering timeline challenges, these projects contribute significantly to MSME development and education through PENA. They underscore the adaptive skills required of designers to navigate project complexities and stakeholder dynamics, ensuring successful outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction

Designing Furniture that are Aware of Noise Absorption Case Study of Library of Jakarta
Library is an institution that is tasked with collecting, managing, storing, disseminating and preserving information. One of the new library destinations at this time is the Jakarta Library which is located in Taman Ismail Marzuki as one of the components in the TIM cultural area. The Jakarta Library is designed with an achievement strategy to be a place where communities can gather, learn and develop together. In the Jakarta Library, right next to the book reading area, there is a children’s area, where they spend their time reading books and playing. The relationship between the children’s and adult areas of the library is an interesting consideration. Based on data and surveys conducted by the author, there are complaints about noise from children. The most important factor that can support the success of a library is how to make library visitors feel comfortable in the library. This comfort requires changes in supporting facilities that can make users comfortable in the library with “noise control”. A caring attitude towards noise attenuation can minimize the occurrence of excessive sound disturbances, disturbances that can interfere with the concentration and focus of readers in the library. Through this research, it is expected that noise control becomes an important thing to consider for the comfort of library visitors. The way that can be done is by designing and changing the interior design and furniture in the Jakarta Library that can absorb and direct noise. Furniture is an important consideration considering its function that is directly in contact with space users, space users move according to their needs and each activity requires acoustic considerations for the sounds that disturb or cause them
Designing a Campaign for Water Conservation Through Social Media
Water is a crucial substance for human life, both for bodily needs and daily activities. Groundwater is the most commonly consumed water source by the public, especially in the capital city of Jakarta. Besides being easily accessible, groundwater is also very affordable because it is inexpensive and does not require monthly payments like PDAM water. Unregulated groundwater drilling by the government can negatively impact groundwater quality. If this continues, the groundwater quality in Jakarta could deteriorate to the point of being unfit for consumption. As an information and education medium, a campaign through Instagram social media can be a solution, providing a fun and interactive means of conveying information effectively. The design process involves several stages, including data collection through questionnaires distributed to the target audience, literature studies, expert interviews, and beta testing. The result of the design is 12 main social media contents, along with several supporting media. Beta testing shows positive responses from the audience regarding understanding and interest in water conservation

Legal Analysis on the Geprek Bensu and I am Geprek Bensu Under the Indonesia Trademark Law
The food business in Indonesia has experienced tremendous growth, with the ayam geprek industry growing in popularity. Ayam geprek, a dish featuring crispy fried chicken mixed with sambal, has become a favorite among the younger generation. This research examines the trademark dispute between “Geprek Bensu”, owned by Ruben Onsu, and “I Am Geprek Bensu”, owned by PT Ayam Geprek Benny Sujono. The case highlights important issues in intellectual property rights under Law No. 20 of 2016 on Trademarks and Geographical Indications. The dispute arose when Ruben Onsu, who was initially a promotional ambassador for “I Am Geprek Bensu”, launched his own “Geprek Bensu” brand, leading to allegations of trademark infringement and unfair competition. An analysis of the case reveals legal inconsistencies, including Ruben's ownership claim despite PT Ayam Geprek Benny Sujono having registered the “Bensu” mark first. Key legal provisions, such as Article 21 on bad faith and Article 3 on mandatory registration, emphasize the importance of proper mark registration to protect business identity and prevent consumer confusion. The research shows the needs for companies to protect intellectual property and follow laws and regulation. This case also shows the importance of non-litigation dispute resolution methods for fast and efficient conflict management in the food industry that is growing rapidly in Indonesia

Perlindungan Hak Cipta Lagu dan Musik Yang Dinyanyikan Ulang (Cover) di Media Sosial
The development of internet technology and social media networks in this era has made social media a place for musicians to develop and promote their work. However, the widespread use of the internet and social media has caused its own problems in the field of copyright. Many new musicians are seeking their fortune by doing covers and then uploading them to social media. This is a problem which in essence is a copyright violation if it does not get permission (license) from the creator. The research method used for this study is normative juridical by examining library materials consisting of literature, articles, opinions and expert teachings. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that this cover activity is a copyright violation if it does not get permission from the creator and copyright holder. In addition, if in the future there is a problem, the solution is to use two methods or actions, namely preventive and repressive.
