FACTORS AFFECTING FINANCIAL DISTRESS: EVIDENCE FROM INDONESIA
This study analyzes the impact of various factors on financial distress in Indonesian companies, focusing on profitability, institutional ownership, firm size, firm age, interest expense, dividend payout, retained earnings, and the COVID-19 pandemic. The objective of the research was to understand the effects of those internal and external factors before crisis, during crisis and post crisis. Data from companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (excluding the financial sector) from 2013 to 2022. The numbers of the sample based on the criteria were 691 companies, which makes 6132 observation points in total as the sample for this research. The sample was analyzed using logistic regression to determine the relationship between these variables and financial distress. The study found that profitability significantly reduces the likelihood of financial distress, while firm size, firm age, high interest expenses, high retained earnings, and the COVID-19 pandemic significantly increase the likelihood of financial distress. Based on the findings, this study analyzed the impact of a company's condition during a crisis and the effect of external factors on the probability of financial distress and its impact on the company. The study can be used as a basis for company planning under external pressure conditions, considering the possibility of future events like pandemics or other crises
The Effect of Information Sharing and Trust on Supply Chain Management Performance with Long-Term Relationship as A Mediator: Evidence from SMEs in Yogyakarta
This study investigates the effect of information sharing and trust on supply chain management (SCM) performance, with long-term relationship as a mediating variable. A census sampling technique was applied to 45 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Yogyakarta’s Bakpia industry. Data was analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that information sharing (β = 0.405) and trust (β = 0.410) significantly influence long-term relationships. Long-term relationships, in turn, have a strong positive effect on SCM performance (β = 0.378). Information sharing also directly affects SCM performance (β = 0.367), while trust shows a weaker direct effect (β = 0.212). Indirectly, both information sharing (β = 0.149) and trust (β = 0.151) contribute to SCM performance through long-term relationships as a mediator. The total effect analysis further highlights that information sharing (β = 0.578) and trust (β = 0.499) enhance SCM performance, with long-term relationship showing the highest total effect (β = 1.149). These findings emphasize the critical mediating role of long-term relationships in strengthening supply chain collaboration, particularly where trust alone may not directly drive performance. The study contributes to SCM literature by providing empirical evidence from SMEs in the traditional food sector and offers practical implications for managers to prioritize both transparent information exchange and sustainable partnerships to improve supply chain outcomes

Kepemimpinan Rohani dan Motivasi Kerja dalam Mempengaruhi Kinerja Guru di sebuah Sekolah Kristen
The quality of education within an institution is highly dependent on the quality of teacher performance, as teachers play a central role in shaping students learning experiences and outcomes. Therefore, it is essential for educational institutions to conduct teacher performance evaluations regularly to maintain and enhance educational quality. Various factors influence teacher performance, including the leadership style of the principal and the teachers’ level of work motivation. This study aimed to analyze the positive influence of spiritual leadership and work motivation on teacher performance. The research employed a quantitative approach using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method to examine the relationships among the variables. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to fifty teachers at XYZ Elementary School. The findings reveal that the principal’s spiritual leadership significantly enhances teachers’ work motivation, which in turn improves their performance. Moreover, both spiritual leadership and work motivation were found to have a positive and direct impact on teacher performance. These results highlight the importance of spiritual values in leadership practices and the need for schools to foster motivation among teachers to achieve better educational outcomes and overall institutional effectiveness

Vaccine-Based Immunotherapy for Metastatic Colorectal Cancer: A Systematic Review
Background: Metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) remains a therapeutic challenge, particularly in microsatellite stable (MSS) tumors, which are largely unresponsive to current immunotherapy approaches. Vaccine-based immunotherapy offers a strategy to elicit tumor-specific immune responses in these immunologically “cold” tumors. However, clinical results have been mixed, and the efficacy and safety of cancer vaccines in mCRC remain to be clarified.
Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted in accordance with PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) evaluating vaccine-based immunotherapy in mCRC were identified from PubMed, EMBASE, and Scopus as of May 2, 2025. Eligible studies included human subjects with mCRC receiving vaccine therapy with or without additional treatments, compared to standard or placebo regimens. The primary outcomes were overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS); safety was assessed by the incidence of grade ≥3 treatment-related adverse events.
Result: Five RCTs comprising 804 patients met inclusion criteria. Pooled analysis showed a trend toward improved OS with vaccine-based immunotherapy (HR 0.81; 95% CI, 0.65–1.00; p = 0.05; I² = 0%), and a modest, non-significant improvement in PFS (HR 0.80; 95% CI, 0.62–1.05; p = 0.07; I² = 0%). The incidence of severe adverse events was lower with vaccine-based therapies (RR 0.31; 95% CI, 0.02–6.09; p = 0.23; I² = 90%).
Conclusions: Vaccine-based immunotherapy in mCRC demonstrates potential clinical benefit, particularly in prolonging survival with a favorable safety profile. Further biomarker-driven studies are needed to optimize patient selection and therapeutic combinations
A Descriptive Study of Thesis Completion Challenges Among Medical Students
Background: The Final Project (FP) is a mandatory course for medical education students, typically undertaken in the sixth semester. It is divided into two stages: Final Project 1 (FP1) and Final Project 2 (FP2). In FP1, students develop, document, and present a research proposal, while in FP2, they execute the planned research, analyze the results, and present their findings. A decline in FP2 completion rates was observed in 2024, raising concerns about factors affecting student performance.
Methods: A descriptive analysis methods approach was used, combining quantitative surveys (n=91) and qualitative interviews. The survey, with 10 questions on a 4-point Likert scale, assessed factors affecting FP2 completion. Semi-structured interviews and written responses explored deeper insights, with thematic analysis identifying key barriers.
Results: Survey results revealed moderate motivation (mean=2.77) and high procrastination (mean=3.01). Time management (mean=2.86) and personal issues (mean=2.35) were significant challenges. The main delays were lack of motivation (36.26%) and time management issues (27.47%). Themes from interviews included motivation, time management, supervisor support, data access, and mental health.
Conclusions: Students face key challenges in completing the FP2 course, particularly low motivation, poor time management, and limited supervisor interaction. Addressing these issues through enhanced intrinsic motivation, effective feedback, and structured time management can foster more successful and high-effort student profiles
