Siebie samych się boicie! Polska w kinie niemieckim po 1989 roku

The article is devoted to the image of Poland in German cinema after 1989. First, I present arguments against adopting the postcolonial approach, as it is insufficient for a complete critical description of this phenomenon, as well as inconsistent with the foreign policy of the united Germany. Next, I analyze the role of money as requisite, interpreting the film image of Poland as a caricature of Western rationality – a reality in which no other logic is possible apart from the logic of money (which is taboo in contemporary Germany)

In her work, she fought for the equal rights for women in such areas as erotic custom, divorces and intentional motherhood. On the basis of various I. Krzywicka’s publications: columns, reports, books and theatrical plays reviews, diagnosis and suggestions about social reforms postulated by publicist were described. Due to volume limits, only Krzywicka’s thoughts regarding social meaning of women are presented in this article. Furthermore, it contains genealogy of Krzywicka’s outlook and attempt to review her postulates in XXI century

The aim of this article is to present the complex issue of civil disobedience in the democratic state. The authors pay attention to the fact that ineffectiveness may lay the foundation for civil disobedience. It should be stressed that the activity of the citizens in the form of civil disobedience shall not always harmonize with the legal norms of applicable democratic state of law. Civil disobedience may reflect varied interests of different social groups. These points of view – often very different - shall be perceived by the governmental authority, which in the decision-making process is forced to choose between the so-called “lesser evil”. The authors present the issue of civil disobedience by showing examples from the country and abroad

A proposed way is based on the functionalization of post-colonial criticism tools for the purpose of contemporary literary studies. The author discusses concept of post-colonial research in connection with Polish literature about Russia and Russians and draws attention to the works of Polish reporters who describe Russia after 1991.
