Pisanie jako ślad i jako dar. O Próbach pisma Witolda Wirpszy
The article attempts to interpret the Attempts at writing series of poems in Witold Wirpsza’s volume of poetry entitled Superstitions. This has been read as something of a poetic and philosophical treatise dealing with nature and also the ontology of writing. Two thematic motifs, namely trace and gift, which appear in this series regularly and in numerous variants, are interpreted in the context of contemporary post-metaphysical philosophy (Derrida, Blanchot, Lévinas, Ricoeur) and presented metaphorically as writing that blurs or eradicates presence: being, subject, meaning. The article attempts to interpret the Attempts at writing series of poems in Witold Wirpsza’s volume of poetry entitled Superstitions. Wajda autotematyczny. Wszystko na sprzedaż i Tatarak Andrzeja Wajdy
Mise-en-abîme discourse reveals itself most clearly in 2 films by Andrzej Wajda – Everything for sale and Sweet Rush. These are connected by collective reflexive contexts, as well as by a tendency to promote formal novelty. They can be analysed from the perspective of “a film in a film”, which is a story about making a film or “a film about a film”, which is a reflection on the cinematographic means of expression.Mise-en-abîme discourse reveals itself most clearly in 2 films by Andrzej Wajda – Everything for sale and Sweet Rush. Gra z romantycznym afektem w Mariaszu Artura Daniela Liskowackiego
The aim of the article is to show the connection between affection theory and romantic concepts of emotions (mesmerism and melancholy) in Artur Daniel Liskowacki’s 2007 novel Mariasz. By way of introduction, the author presents in brief the most important research on affective turn conducted in Poland and around the world, and also shows the possibilities of affective reading. The next part of the article is an interpretation of Mariasz. What is more, affection theory, as it is used in the novel, helps us to describe the ambiguous network of relations between the characters more fully and clearly, who experience similar affections, despite the temporal distance between them (romanticism and modernity). By analyzing Liskowacki’s novel we can identify the current relevance of the Romantic tradition in Polish literature after 1989, which is far from its martyrological connotations. Romanticism becomes a reference point for contemporary times, and original dialogues from that epoch allow the emotional nature of humans immersed in contemporary times to be described in full. The aim of the article is to show the connection between affection theory and romantic concepts of emotions (mesmerism and melancholy) in Artur Daniel Liskowacki’s 2007 novel Mariasz. Uwagi o aktorstwie w filmach Andrzeja Wajdy
The article is a synthetic look at Andrzej Wajda’s films in terms the context of acting and actors’ participation. As a director Wajda never created a separate ‘school’ of film acting; nevertheless, he still made a huge creative contribution on a national and global scale, including tens, if not hundreds, of unforgettable performances from actors. The article is a synthetic look at Andrzej Wajda’s films in terms the context of acting and actors’ participation. Gatunki filozoficzne
The article is devoted to various philosophical genres, such as the treatise, essay, fragment, tale, letter, and dialogue. These are not treated as comfrotable and transparent means by which to express philosophical thought: on the contrary, they are closely related to the form through which such thoughts are expressed. The author does not limit himself to describing these written forms of philosophy, but confronts two fundamental types of thought, which are expressed in two distinct types of writing. One of these is “priestly”: authoritative, systemic, based on monologue, on a single, self-confident subject, while the other is “ecumenical” thought: based no dialogue, rooted in the here and now, closer to the fragment. The former type is artificial thought, aware of the temptations of totalitarianism or “thought imperialism”; the latter, on the other hand, is based on a living and natural train of thought. Systemic thought finds expression in a writing style whose aim is clear from the outset, where the act of writing is merely a conduit for absolute meanings; by contrast, dialogue thought treats writing as an adventure, as a road without a previously defined goal. The article is devoted to various philosophical genres, such as the treatise, essay, fragment, tale, letter, and dialogue. Dramatografia
The article presents the concept of dramatography as being created by “writing drama”. The author treats drama as a fluid concept, historically variable, non-binary compared to theatre, establishing performative relations interwoven with other arts. Dramatography is a response to limitations resulting from the use of the concepts of adaptation, interpretation and intersemiotic translation in the former binary system in drama and theatre. Referring to Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht’s concept of “producing presence”, the author shows the role of manifesting oneself as a counterweight to meaning in the process through which dramatography emerges. The article presents the concept of dramatography as being created by “writing drama”. Poezja i zmysły. Antyczny topos wody i wina jako teoria iudicium litterarium w twórczości Jana Kochanowskiego
The text refers to the ancient topos of the debate on drinking water and wine, which is present in Jan Kochanowski’s poetry. The ancient idea of bacchanalian drink and water from the holy spring were seen as the root of the act of creation. Ever since this motif took its final shape in the works of the Anthology poets, it has been used by artists as a pretext for self-referential reflections, as well as for technical musings on sources of inspiration. The classical thread takes on special significance in Kochanowski’s work, because the poet uses it to articulate his own concept of poetic inspiration (enthusiasm), and also because he formulates aesthetic judgment (iudicium) on the criteria for evaluating literature. The text refers to the ancient topos of the debate on drinking water and wine, which is present in Jan Kochanowski’s poetry.
