This article foregrounds the collapse of the binary opposition between drama and theatre that in literary and theatre discourses are traditionally recognized as wholly separate art forms, with the former based on words and the latter based on live performances. The present author argues that by applying a performative perspective on art in its varied forms and introducing the category of the entanglement of matter and meaning, derived from quantum physics, a non-antagonistic approach to drama and theatre is still possible. The argument that sees literature as a performative art, adopted by the author, provides additional support. This article shows how changes in the very notion of the text as well as in the ontological status of literature itself have had their effect on the transformations of beliefs and conceptions grounded in the vision of the humanities understood as “the textual world” to produce the concept of “entangled world” instead. This being the case, the author proposes to depart from the concept of “text” (no matter how restructured or redefined), abandon thinking in categories of network structures (even Latour’s actor-network’s theory), and discard dialectical or holistic approaches (even the theory of cognitive blending – “cognitive amalgams”) in favour of emergent “entanglement acts”, anamorphic perspective in art reception and synaesthetic discourses. By studying experiences related to performativity in the arts and discourses related to performance studies, the article goes to show the changes currently going on in the humanities and transforming them into the perfomative humanities in the process. This article foregrounds the collapse of the binary opposition between drama and theatre that in literary and theatre discourses are traditionally recognized as wholly separate art forms, with the former based on words and the latter based on live performances. Płynność – od Heraklita do Baumana
The text concerns liquidity understood as an extremely extensive category containing the aspect of changeability and blurring boundaries. It covers an extremely wide spectrum of phenomena. Liquidity is a physical category that refers to the element of water and the senses of touch and taste. It became extremely popular in sociology as an epistemological category thanks to Zygmunt Bauman. This category should be applied much more widely in analyzing phenomena in the field of literature, art, theater, performance, but also going beyond practical analytical use and transferring this concept to the level of theory. The term „liquid” refers to many associations, which in turn allow us to recall different orders and perspectives, at the same time incorporating the current argument into a broader discourse on the moving, fluid nature of the concepts of „wandering” between disciplines. These considerations are also part of the author’s concept of amorphous aesthetic categories, which include liquidity. The text concerns liquidity understood as an extremely extensive category containing the aspect of changeability and blurring boundaries. Ciało mistyczne
This article proposes to include in the literary studies the body of texts written by the Christian female mystics, whose accounts have so far been the domain of theological discourse. The perspective offered here focuses on the bodily categories contained in the works of women mystics from the 19th and 20th c. such as: Leonia Nastał, Faustyna Kowalska, Zofia Nosko, Roberta Babiak, Rozalia Celakówna, all of whom qualify under the category of experiential or affective mysticism. The present articles focuses on two notions, i.e. on the one hand, the typology of describing the bodily experience in the mystical text, and on the other, the biographical features. The latter opens up a path towards the anthropological and cultural dimension in the analysis of mystical writings with a particular focus on the issue of illness, self-mortification and exhumation. This article proposes to include in the literary studies the body of texts written by the Christian female mystics, whose accounts have so far been the domain of theological discourse. This article deals with the basic issues related to the evolution and methodology of research on art. The author highlights the close relationship between theory and practice of artistic activity and underlines the cognitive advantages stemming from the interdisciplinary approach of formulating and solving research questions in the domain of reflections on art. This article deals with the basic issues related to the evolution and methodology of research on art. Aktorzy i Szekspir. O pewnym motywie w polskim filmie

This article deals with various references to William Shakespeare’s plays in Polish postwar films, both theatrical and television ones. There are no Polish film adaptations of Shakespeare’s works except for television dramas made for the Television Theater on state TV. There are, however, Polish films (mainly from 1962–1989) about actors and performing arts with fragments and motifs from Shakespeare plays. Their characters are often actors deprived by fate (or History) of the chance to play a Shakespeare role on stage and forced to play it in life instead.Jazdon Mikołaj, Aktorzy i Szekspir. Brâncuşi’s sculpture “Endless Column” in Târgu Jiu was interpreted by Constantin Noica as an artistic expression of the ontological vision characteristic of the Romanian sense of being. It brings together two great philosophical categories, traditionally seen as mutually exclusive: static being and dynamic becoming. Noica proves that Brâncuşi’s sculpture is unique in the way it illustrates “becoming into being” (Romanian = Devenirea întru fiinţa), the fundamental term in Noica’s ontology.Brâncuşi’s sculpture “Endless Column” in Târgu Jiu was interpreted by Constantin Noica as an artistic expression of the ontological vision characteristic of the Romanian sense of being. O-bi, o-ba: Koniec cywilizacji – postpiśmienny świat Piotra Szulkina
Pietrzak Maciej, O-bi, o-ba: Koniec cywilizacji – postpiśmienny świat Piotra Szulkina [O-Bi, O-Ba: The End of Civilization – The Postliterate World of Piotr Szulkin]. „Przestrzenie Teorii” nr 32. Poznań 2019, Adam Mickiewicz University Press, pp. 273–284. ISSN 1644-6763. DOI 10.14746/pt.2019.32.14.
Piotr Szulkin made his mark in the history of cinema primarily as the author of disturbing visions of the future. His four films made between 1979 and 1985 comprised the science-fiction tetralogy, which is still one of the greatest artistic achievements of this genre in Polish cinema. The subject of the article is the third production of Szulkin’s series – the post-apocalyptic film O-Bi, O-Ba: The End of Civilization from 1984. In the film, the director creates a suggestive vision of a world destroyed as a result of nuclear conflict, in which the original functions of literature and the written word are forgotten. The author article analyzes the way in which forsaken literary artifacts are used in the post-literary reality of the film. An important element of his considerations is also the post-apocalyptic reception of the biblical text, on whose elements the mythology of the film’s world is based.Pietrzak Maciej, O-bi, o-ba: Koniec cywilizacji – postpiśmienny świat Piotra Szulkina [O-Bi, O-Ba: The End of Civilization – The Postliterate World of Piotr Szulkin]. „Przestrzenie Teorii” nr 32. Od Valerie do Fausta i Wolnego strzelca: kilka uwag o intertekstualnej strategii I części Dziadów
The author analyses intertextual relations in the first and final section of part of “Forefathers’ Eve” (Dziady), and treats them as an element of Mickiewicz’s strategy of anchoring his own work in the system of dialogue with renowned Western cultural works of the time. This dialogue takes the form of a polemic against the sentimental French models akin to de Krüdener’s “Valerie” and the Sturm und Drang movement, which was open to issues of characterisation and early German romanticism. In the first part of the book, which focuses on an analysis of the Maiden’s monologue, the author discerns a mechanism of references to Barbara Julianna de Krüdener’s novel “Valerie” and “The Sorrows of Young Werther”, with which the baroness engaged in an open dispute. The second part focuses on the character of Gustaw and his conversation with the Black Hunter, with an analysis of likely connections with the Weber/Kind’s opera “The Marksman” and the plays of Goethe and Klingemann with the same main title “FaustThe author analyses intertextual relations in the first and final section of part of “Forefathers’ Eve” (Dziady), and treats them as an element of Mickiewicz’s strategy of anchoring his own work in the system of dialogue with renowned Western cultural works of the time.
