The Case of the Sluggish Indonesian Textile and Garment Industry Viewed from the Perspective of Financial Distress
The companies studied are the textile and garment industry in Indonesia due to its recent downturn, reviewing the impact of financial distress during the 2019-2023 research period. The population was 23 companies and the sample was 8 companies. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data were tested using the classical assumption test, multiple regression analysis, and moderated regression analysis using EViews 11. The results of this study indicate that liquidity has no effect on financial distress. Meanwhile, operational leverage has an effect on financial distress. Profitability is unable to moderate the relationship between liquidity and operational leverage on financial distress. Simultaneously, liquidity and operational leverage have a significant effect on financial distress. Based on these results, investors should be wise in making decisions, especially in investing their funds in the textile and garment industr

Analysis of Factors Affecting the Value of Indonesian Crude Palm Oil (CPO) Exports to the United States When the RFS Policy is in Effect
The Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) policy in the United States presents both opportunities and challenges for Indonesia’s Crude Palm Oil (CPO) exports. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the value of Indonesia’s CPO exports to the United States during the period 2005–2023, focusing on Malaysia’s export volume, Indonesia’s CPO production, and international CPO prices. A quantitative method with time series data was employed and analyzed through multiple linear regression using EViews 13. The results show that Malaysia’s CPO export volume has a negative and significant effect on Indonesia’s export value, indicating direct market competition. In contrast, Indonesia’s CPO production has a positive and significant effect, underscoring the importance of domestic capacity in supporting export performance. International CPO prices also have a positive and significant effect, meaning that rising global prices can increase export value. Overall, the findings confirm that beyond demand and supply dynamics, competition with Malaysia and compliance with the RFS standard are crucial determinants of export performance. This study recommends strengthening sustainability certification (ISPO), enhancing trade diplomacy, and stabilizing production to improve competitiveness in the U.S. market
Implication of Excessive Working Hours On The Risk of Worker Morbidity: Microeconomic Analysis Approach
In the increasingly competitive modern era, excessive working hours have become commonplace in various industrial sectors. However, the increase in working hours often has a negative impact on workers' health. This study aims to examine the effect of excessive working hours on workers' morbidity in Bengkulu. Using data from the National Socio-Economic Survey (SUSENAS), this study uses the Instrumental Variable (IV) Probit analysis method to address the potential for endogeneity in the relationship between variables. The results show that excessive working hours have a positive and significant effect on the chance of increasing workers' morbidity by 9.7 percent. In addition, domicile factors, types of business fields and expenditures also contribute to the chance of morbidity status. This study emphasizes that excessive working hours have serious implications for workers' physical and mental health, so it is important to implement policies that support work-life balance and health promotion programs in the workplace
The Influence Of Brand Positioning, Product Knowledge And Attitude On Green Product Purchase Intention Of Sensatia Botanicals
The escalating environmental crisis has driven a shift in consumer behavior towards eco-friendly products. Brands may perceive openings in the market, yet contradictions across prior scholarly outputs indicate unresolved ambiguity regarding what directs purchasing choices. This investigation intends to dissect how ecological brand positioning, comprehension of such brands, and disposition toward them interact to form the intention to acquire Sensatia Botanicals’ green-labeled commodities. Information was secured from 300 selected participants through purposive criteria and assessed via LISREL. The observed empirical outcomes demonstrate that positioning, knowledge, and attitudinal alignment with green brands all exert statistically significant positive impacts on the intention to procure environmentally branded goods. These results imply that companies should add strategies to communicate eco-friendly products effectively and efficiently by using social media influencers and digital media advertising. The communication strategy needs to highlight product quality and ethical production to justify premium pricing. Increased accessibility is key by expanding distribution through retail stores and e-commerce platforms. Additionally, companies must proactively build confidence in product performance with evidence-based marketing and authentic reviews

Analysis of Basic Sectors and Economic Dynamics of Makassar City toward South Sulawesi Province (2020–2024)
This study aims to analyze the structure and dynamics of Makassar City's economy in comparison to South Sulawesi Province over the 2020–2024 period. Using a sectoral quantitative approach, the study applies four regional economic analysis tools: Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), Klassen Typology, and Shift Share Analysis (SSA). The results indicate that several sectors in Makassar, such as Wholesale and Retail Trade, Manufacturing, and Information and Communication, are base sectors with high average LQ values. However, DLQ analysis reveals that only the Accommodation and Food Services sector and the Public Administration sector show promising prospects. Klassen Typology categorizes most sectors as “developed but depressed,” indicating strong contributions with underwhelming growth. Shift Share analysis reveals that while many sectors grew positively during the study period, much of this growth is attributed to national trends and sectoral structures, rather than local competitive advantages. Only a few sectors, such as Accommodation and Food Services, Health, and Transportation, exhibit positive competitive shifts. These findings underscore the need for Makassar's development policy to strengthen internal sectoral competitiveness for more sustainable regional growth
Literature Review: The Effect Of Roa, Roe, And Der On Stock Prices Of Manufacturing Companies On The Idx
This study aims to analyze the relationship between profitability ratios, represented by Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE), and stock prices in food and beverage subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2018–2024 period. This sector was chosen because it has relatively stable characteristics compared to other sectors and is a key driver of national economic growth. Amid the economic dynamics following the COVID-19 pandemic, many companies face pressure on profits and operational efficiency, which ultimately impacts investors' perceptions of company value in the capital market. Based on signaling theory, financial performance reflected in profitability ratios can be an important signal for investors in assessing a company's prospects.
This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression to examine the relationship between ROA, ROE, and stock prices. Secondary data were obtained from annual financial reports and stock price data of food and beverage subsector companies listed on the IDX during the observation period. Data analysis was conducted using the classical assumption test, the coefficient of determination (R²), and partial (t-test) and simultaneous (F-test) tests to ensure the validity of the research model.
The results show that ROE has a positive and significant effect on stock prices, meaning that the higher the return on equity, the greater investor interest in the company's shares. Meanwhile, ROA had no significant effect on stock prices, indicating that asset utilization efficiency is not yet a primary concern for investors in this subsector. This finding supports signaling theory, which states that investors are more responsive to financial ratios that directly reflect shareholder returns than to a company's operational efficiency.
The practical implications of this study suggest that management of companies in the food and beverage subsector needs to focus more on increasing shareholder equity value through effective financial strategies, such as earnings management, consistent dividend policies, and capital structure optimization. For investors, the results of this study can serve as a reference in making investment decisions, emphasizing equity-based profitability analysis.
From an academic perspective, this research provides originality by examining the relationship between ROA, ROE, and stock prices in the post-pandemic period, focusing on subsectors with defensive characteristics, such as food and beverages. This research also broadens understanding of the role of profitability ratios as financial signals in the context of the Indonesian capital market, which is experiencing economic recovery
